Train connections & reservations

Hey, I discovered by accident that there is a price difference for a seat reservation with interrail!Via a website of B europe (photo) you will find prices of 10 euros for a connection with 2 TGV for example Lille - Marseille or Lille - Bordeaux!This is always with a change in Paris.The interrail website charges 20 euros for this! Both without the mandatory reservation costs. Could this be an error on the B europe website? Otherwise this is very interesting.  @seewulf 

 Hello, I went to Slovenia for the holidays with the interrail pass and I am in the process of organizing my return. However, I encountered some problems when booking certain trains. Especially for a TGV between Munich HBF (Germany) and Paris Est (France) on Thursday 12 August.  It leaves at 06:46 AM and arrives at 12:33 AM and it has as reference the TGV 9576. When I am on the interrail booking tool, I cannot book the train. So I tried directly on the oui.sncf site, but again it was impossible to reserve only the seats. How would you proceed in this situation? thanks in advance M.Bouchet

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm curious if this would be possible with 1 day of travel time. I'm just wondering if you can travel from the Brussels area to Marseille/Nice without the very expensive surcharge you have to pay when traveling with TGV Brussels-France? I am thinking here of DB BAHN, because they have no mandatory reservation costs on many trains. 

I’m trying to book Eurostar from London to Paris in early March but it says “fares have not been received from carrier.” Any ideas what this means? It’s less than 5 months away, and I thought reservations would be available by now.

Hi, I am traveling from Amsterdam to Copenhagen tomorrow and I am confused about reservation. Different websites says different things. Some recommend to book it others don’t. So what happens if I don’t book a seat? One of the websites say that there is a high availability. Can I book it later if needed? The price comes too high to book.

Hi,I booked a ticket from Amsterdam to Wenen with the interrail reservation tool. I received an e ticket in my mailbox. Do I have to add this ticket at my mobile pass? The mail dit not mention this, so I don't know if it counts for a travel day.  Thanks a lot.  Martine 

wij illen met de trein van Brussel via Berlijn en Warschau naar Vilnius, Riga en Talinn.Tot Warschau geen probleem. verder vinden we geen verbinding naar Vilnius, van Vilnius naar Riga  en van Riga naar Talinn. Naar het schijnt zijn er enkel busverbindingen. Is dat werkelijk zo?

Dear community,I want to travel from Bruxelles to Valence with the TGV 9826. For the train I want to take there is only a reservation for 1st class possible. I, however, have a 2nd class Interrail pass. Can I book this 1st class reservation and use it with my 2nd class Global Pass in a second class seat? Thank you for your support :)

Hi!Since October 6th, it is possible to book trains in France for the Christmas period (source: https://www.oui.sncf/aide/l-ouverture-des-ventes). Yet, it seems that I can’t book seat reservations for after December 11th on the Interrail site.Anybody knows when reservations will be open? Thank you!

Hello, a friend of mine can not open the Bar code from yesterday. She did not travel yesterday… it was a mistake …. Can we still recreate this Bar code or is it gone? The train personal need any Bar code (Deutsche Bahn).ThanksRebi

Hello, I am trying to reserve my train from Stuttgart to Paris and it is a direct journey train without any stops. This train requires reservation as mention in both Eurail website and TGV Duplex website. However, when I am trying to reserve my ticket it says that the price is not available. Hi,I’ve seen topics explaining that there are no train connection from Stockholm to Oslo (due to the pandemic, maybe ?). However, when I go on the website sj.se, I can find some (see the pic attached).I don’t wanna have to pay for that, obvisously, since my Interrail Pass is supposed to be able to get me there. Did anyone find a solution ? Hi I’d like to reserve a seat on the Eurostar train from London to Paris for Monday October 11. Anyways, I keep getting a message that says error occurred reloading page or something along those lines. The page continuously reloads and I’m never able to access the reservation tool. 

Hey everyone,we (2 adults and 1 child 8 years) are planing a journey through italy. Our plan is to take a night train from Lecce to Milano (ICN 35022) on 21st of October.In the booking tool of interrail there are only the options of a 2nd class reservation or cuccetta c4 comfort for 1 passenger for eur 291. On the page of trenitalia we have much more options and we want to book a cuccetta for us 3 (is possible on this page). What is the solution? How can we get our favorite solution?Does anyone has experiences with trenitalia.com and can help me out?Any help is much apreciated. Best regards, 

I am unable to find any trains to, from or within Estonia and Latvia. I have the same problem in the app.

Good morning,Me and my girlfriend are going to Italy but we will always stay in Milan for 4 days.I would like to know if with these interrail passes we can make round trips to Venice in one day, the next day round trips from Milan to Florence and the next day go from Milan to Verona and back.

Hello the community, to make the journey Villach - Venice with my interrail, a reservation of siege was required. So I paid 2 € on the interrail booking site and when I was at the counter asking a question and the person made me paid 10 € extra for the reservation. She told me it was necessary but the reservation of 2 € siege on the interrail site is not supposed to be enough with the Interrail Pass? So finally, I have my Interrail pass + a seat reservation ticket + an other extra ticket of 10€, it's normal?

Hallo ZusammenEine Freundin und ich werden ab Samstag 10 Tage mit Interrail durch Italien reisen. Wir haben ein 2. Klasse E-Ticket. Nun habe ich über das Interrail-Portal die Sitzplätze reserviert. Auf den Bestätigungen steht jedoch bei beiden ein 1. Klasse Sitzplatz. Wisst ihr, wie das sein kann? Ich konnte bei der Reservation nur die 2. Klasse anwählen. Bekommen wir da nun Probleme, wenn wir trotzdem reisen?Achja und wir starten aus der Schweiz.Liebe Grüsse Jennifer

Just to be sure.  Is there a ferry from Italy to Malta,  which is included in the global pass ? The grimaldi ferries are not running the lane anymore.  And as I can see, is the virtu ferries,  which is probably the only one, not included! Right?

Hi! I want to make a seat reservation but interrail says: '’you can't book this connection through our self-service system. Please find an alternative way to book. '’It's the train that leaves at 3.10 PM from budapest keleti and arrives at 5.00 AM in Craiova.Anybody knows where to book this train? I would like to use my interrail pass for this train as well.Thanks a lot!Martine

Non ho capito come funziona. quando compro il biglietto poi da quale stazione parto? scelgo il treno che porta a quella destinazione?..se ho capito bene ad esempio parto da Milano e scelgo come prima destinazione un qualsiasi treno che mi porti a Zurigo, poi da Zurigo scelgo un qualsiasi treno che mi porti ad Amsterdam, stessa cosa da lì scelgo uno che mi porta a Copenhagen ecc... con l'interrail pass posso farlo giusto? And all gratis beacause i have global pass?

Hi everyone!Hope you can clarify me in some questions i have since this is my first time doin an interrail:1st: How does the time zone thing works with the train time table? For example, I want to go from one city to another but they are in different timezones. So, I’m assuming the departure time form my trainis  on the time zone from that city I’m departuring from, but the arriving time is on the time zone of my destination city, correct?2nd: How can I find travels with night trains? I wanted to hop on a night train from  Amsterdam to Berlin since it’s a 7hour journey, but I can’t find any night trains that do that journey, so I’ll have to do that during the day, loosing a lot of  valuable time :/ Thank you so much,Gisela
