I am trying to book two seats on the train from Zürich HB - Milano central on 25 July 2025.I have tried ÖBB, SBB and Trenitalia but with no luck. On the ÖBB ticket site (which is the most used for this as I understand) it says “tickets not available” for all departures on that specific route.Have they completely stopped selling seat reservations for this route? And in that case, do you have any recommendations on how to go about it?best regardsMagnus
Ok so I’m planning on going from Berlin to Gdansk and the PKP app is saying I can do a one stop journey in Poznan but the app is saying I have to change in Frankfurt (Order), Rzepin, and Poznan. This is super confusing as the train from Berlin to Poznan stops at all these stops (Frankfurt (Order), Rzepin, and Poznan) so I don’t understand why it’s listed as a train change? The journey also starts earlier than the PKP intercity says but gets in at the same time? It says 10:59-2:32pm on the rail app but 11:52-2:32pm on the PKP intercity. I have made reservations on the PKP intercity app for the two journeys but I’m a bit worried as the journeys I have selected on my pass don’t align exactly with the ones on the Rail App.
Hello,I’m currently planning a trip from Montpellier (France) to Umeå (Sweden). The thing is that the Rail Planner proposes a 24 minutes connection time in Hamburg Hbf, and it seems like a tight one.I’ve heard a lot from other travelers that German trains are often late 😅 So I’m a bit afraid, as this is the connection to take our big Euro Night from Hamburg to Stockholm. Can’t miss this one.So, what do you think? Is it safe? Thanks a lot! 😄
Hi! My friends and I are planning the Interrail. We must go from Venice on August 14th and return to Venice on August 19th (we have the flights booked). We wanted to see Munich, Zurich and Brussels, but we don’t know if there are night trains avaible or which cities are better to go from Venice.Thank youuu!!!!
I wanted to ask anyone that has booked seats using OEBB. Usually on other timings they provide a seat reservation as I checked but for this one there isn’t an option. Does anyone know if OEBB assign seats together when booking for multiple passengers?
I have paid for the reservations, but I haven't received the reservation email because I don't have space in my email address. Can I change my email address to another address and have the PDF with the reservations sent to me again?
We are a family of 3 and although frequent train travelers in Europe, this is the first time we are using the Interrail pass and… we are a bit confused. :)We will be traveling on the 5th of July using the Global Pass 7 days in a month in its mobile pass version. The outbound journey is from Vienna Hbf to Peschiera del Garda, which we want to do using the NJ233 (direct). It’s peak summer and a Saturday to boot, so we thought of reserving the tickets asap. Reservations are already available on the OeBB website for this journey (I’m able to buy the ticket using the Interrail discount as shown in your instructions and videos), but the NJ233 does not show up on the Planner in the App for that date. My question is, after buying the reservation on the OeBB website, how to I add this journey to my trip? Should I do it manually, or just wait till it becomes available on the Planner and then add it? I’m under the impression that I need to have this journey on my trip (and that of my family member
I am going on an eurotrip with my girlfriend but i am running into a few problems. one of them is reserving a train seat. When i try to reserve one i get one of two messages.-sold outthe other is-Too early to check for seats.Start checking 150 days before this journey's departure or search for an earlier date. Please read first and if you still have questions start a own topic to keep this post as Informationpost as clean as possible. This post is made by @rvdborgt @AnnaB@runner.on.rails @Angelo and myself. Planning/Timetables:Many of you will notice that the Railplanner of Eurail will have sometimes different times of the trains as other Websites/Apps. Or evenworse the railplanner wont show any train for your desired Route. The Railplanner of Eurail only shows the timetables that are shared by the Railcompanies unfortunately not all Railcompanies share these and even update it not frequently. The Result is that the Railplanner of Eurail is not always uptodate and because ofthat I and other experienced travelers recommend to use the Local Websites and Apps to check the times and even book the reservations with them (when possible).Below here finally the main words :D Hi if you are useing a Railpass there will be the point that a train needs a Reservation 🙂 Many of you ask where to get a r
Hello!I’ve been trying to book Barcelona To Nimes on May 31st and I can’t reserve any seats. It looks like there are trains available (if I buy directly and paying full amount) but when I try to book seats only they become unavailable. I am afraid all seat reservations will sell out when I arrive Spain. So what can I do now so as to get the seat reservations? Thanks everybody!
Hi! Sitting in the station, train goes in 15 min. Seat Reservation already done. Can Not find the connection in the app. Can Not add a travelling day. Shit!!please Help!
Hi everyone, I read somewhere that the train from Turin to Aosta in Italy is closed now. Can someone confirm this, or have more information please?
Hello I am trying to book a reservation for the Berlin - Budapest Night train for 22 July. Since early Jan the OBB/Nightjet websites show it is “booked up” for that date indeed it looks like it is fully booked from 21 June to 28 July, however there seems plenty of availability before and after those dates. I have also been checking the MAV website and the train doesn’t appear at all on the 22 July (previously it said tickets were not available). Is it possible at this stage that those dates are booked up or is it just that they haven’t been released as yet? Any advice gratefully received!.
I’m looking at going from Wroclaw to Torun and while there is a direct train, it’s at 6.50am and actually takes longer than journeys with a change. Faster routes later on (albeit more expensive) have a 15- or 16-minute change in Poznan - from Plat. 5 track 1 to Plat. 11 track 56 or Plat. 8 track 51 to Plat. 1 track 16. I’ve looked at a map of the station on the PKP website, but I’m not convinced either way (also because most journey searches for Poland show short connections). Also, I prefer to make a seat reservation for the second train (the first is mandatory SR). The trip will be in mid-June, but I’m hoping these routes/times are more or less what will be available then as well. Any personal experience of changing at Poznan Glowny much appreciated, thanks.
Family of 6 adults, 2 kids.starting in. Venice, then to Florence for three days. Florence to Paris for four days, then return to Venice.Trying to understand the Eurail system, where to find train stations, secure correct passes. Any help appreciated
I’m going to 4 destinations in the UK in June. I have my ticket on the Eurostar train from Paris to London. I’m having trouble understanding the other trains, so let me get this straight. For my trains within the UK, I don’t have to have a seat reservation. As long as I save the ride as a journey in the app, on the day of travel, I just show the ticketmaster my phone? I don’t actually have to go through acprail?
Hello, I'm going on a trip to Spain & France this coming end of July with my boyfriend & we just bought an EU rail global pass for 5 days flexi (first class). This is our itinerary.Bilbao (Abando) to Madrid (either Chamartin or Atocha)-----30th July 2025 (6am onwards)Madrid (Atocha) to Barcelona (Sants)----1st August 2025 (6am onwards)Barcelona (Sants) to Lyon (Part Dieu)----3rd August 2025 (6am onwards)Lyon (Part Dieu) to Paris----5th August 2025 (6am onwards)Paris to Pontorson---8th August 2025 (6am onwards)Pontorson to Paris---8th August 2025 (4pm onwards)We tried reserving our first class seats on EURail but they only come out around 90 days before. Ive checked other websites like B-Europe & Renfe. Im afraid that by the time EURail reservations come out, all the seats have already been booked by other websites.Any advice would be appreciated.
I want to take the new Berlin to Paris direct (20 July 2025) and want to know about the seat reservation. From what I can find on the DB site that reservations can only be done from 15 days before. Can anyone who took this train please confirmthis?Cheers,Horst
My problem is that I want to use a night train for my outbound journey. This train starts before midnight and I have to switch trains the next morning still within my own country and then take another train to leave the country. The app splits this into two parts (most likely because the first train starts on a different day). Can I still make it my outbound trip or will it not accept it because the first train is entirely within my country? If you search the same connection in the opposite direction both trains start on the same day and it shows up as just one trip.If it doesn't accept it my current solution would be to use a different train traveling the same direction and the switching to the night train once it is past midnight but that would obviously make it more complicated and add some extra cost.
Hi,I am not sure, I am looking for seat reservation for 7 July from NIce to Paris for the train departing at 7:59 from Nice.Rail Europe does not show any train for this day yet, but Euro Rail shows the train but all seat reservations are sold out. Why is this that Euro Rail says sold out and Rail Europe has no trains at all for this day? Is this because the seat reservations are not open yet, or really sold out?Regards,Horst
I have a Eurail pass and my friend will buy an interrail pass soon (they are hoping for a spring sale). In the meantime, I wanted to make seat reservations for both of us on a train from Rome to Zurich (1st leg is Rome to Milan and then Milan to Zurich.) However, when I try to book seat reservations for both of us together on Rail Europe, it is asking for a Eurail pass number. I have one, but my friend is using Interrail and hasn’t purchased their pass yet. Is there a way for me to book both passes at once, even though my friend doesn’t have an Interrail pass number yet? Also the spot to type in Eurail pass number says “Eurail Global Pass 1st Class” for both of us, instead of Interrail for my friend. How would I get the other one to say Interrail instead? Thanks!
Dear community,I‘m planning a reservation for the SJ EuroNight 346 from Stockholm to Hamburg via the interrail reservation service, but I‘m a bit confused.I would like to know if booking a "Sleeping compartment 2 class" for my partner (female) and me (male) means that we get a shared compartment? Since it is also mentioned on the SJ website that you can choose between ladies and gents, we are unsure whether we will then be assigned separate compartments.Thank you in advance!
Hello. I have a Global Pass. I booked a trip on the Caledonian Sleeper from London Euston to Inverness for May, 2025 using the room supplement option on the Caledonian website. This is available for Interrail Pass holders and covers only the sleeping compartment, not the train ticket. When I pull up this connection on my Rail Planner there appears a notice that seat reservations are required for this train. Since I have a sleeping berth, I don’t need a seat reservation. Can I ignore this notice or must I clarify the situation manually? Thanks.
I hope somebody can help here.My family and I are traveling from Barcelona to Madrid and back again in April. I have made seat reservations using the eurail site and have received allocated seats on the train. The seats are not together however and have been randomly assigned in the coach. I have tried to update these using the app but been told that this is not possible. I have contacted Eurail customer support and they have also said that this is not possible.I spoke with Renfe who told me that there are lots of available seats on both of the trains we have reservations on, however they are not able to change the reservations made through the Eurail site. The customer support agent from Renfe actually made reservations with seats together for me and gave me a reservation number and said if I can update the reservations in Eurail using that number then there is a table seat for the 4 of us available on the train we are due to take. This is not possible as far as I can work out using th
Good day, today I tried to make seat reservations for 21 april. But it seems as if I cannot get any reservations. Is there a place that can help me with that?I tried via Eurail, and via nscf-connect, but no seats! (From Brussels to Lyon).Just nothing seems available. Is it possible that the seats are all gone? 2 months before dod??
