Train connections & reservations

HiI think this is a simple query 😁about OBB NightJet timetable change.Night Jet ticket as shown below.There are four of us travelling, in 2 x “Sleeper cabin Comfort compartment … including WC”. For the last week or so, I received an email on a daily basis from OBB (with email address Noreply.Reiseinfo-tickets@oebb.at), saying the following. I rely on google translate more than my German (which is none), which tells me a change of schedule.   The link “Jetzt …” is to https://fahrplan.oebb.at/webapp/?SID=O%3DHamburg Hbf%40&ZID=O%3DMünchen Hbf%40&date=22.02.2024&time=20:10&timeSel=1&returnTimeSel=1&journeyProducts=7167&start=1&language=de That link does not help because the date and time are embedded, and the page shows time at and after the time 20:10.   If I click earlier time (I guess that’s what Fruher means), I get:   The above shows that the service that was at 20:10 no longer exists, in other words, NightJet 40491.If I switch the web site to English

Hello. I’m trying to finalise plans and am looking at getting the train from Lucerne to Salzburg on Friday 26th April. I was getting confused by the slightly different options for trains depending on which website I looked at but think that was due to them only presenting options with fast connections. After a lot of searching around I found filters to increase transfer time on Rail Europe and that seems to have brought up the options that I was missing compared with Trainline. The Nightjet part says reservations are recommended but I can’t see how to select this on the Rail Europe site, though I can do so on the Interrail site.I am wondering also if it would be best to put this as two separate journeys on to the app, ie Lucerne - Zurich and Zurich to Salzburg in case I want to change the train time for the first leg. Thank you

Your help is greatly appriciated. “Prices for this journey will start to be available 180 days before departure.”

Hello everyone, I've been struggling a lot to find out how to book a train between France and Spain with my interrail pass and have discover that it's simply impossible from outside Spain. But I was wondering if it's possible (has anyone tried?) to give all the details to a friend in Spain and ask him to book at a station for me? Thanks !

Yup, the SJ Euronight that I’m taking will leave Malmö at 23:59 and I don’t have a travel day the day after. It will most likely be delayed about an hour, leaving during a non travel day for me, but that should still be fine right, since the scheduled departure was during a travel day?

Are the seat reservations all sold out?  Can I do this journey on a slower train not requiring seat reservations? Thanks for your help

I'm looking at the trains for February 18th leaving Brussels Midi for London St Pancras and there is only 1 timetable in the morning.However, when I look at other Sundays, there are other times... Ex. February 11thIs it a holiday? Is there a possibility that schedules will have reservations in a few days?I’m a Global Pass 2nd class 

I bought the Global Pass, read that I have to have seat reservations on my trains.  Which I did.  To download this on my app it wants a DNR , which 7 digits on your confirmation email.  With seat reservations I did not receive a DNR.  I haven't activated my pass yet for my trip in the summer.  I am booking seat reservations for the travel from London to Milan, and each city I plan to visit. I'm getting nervous, I would hate to be in London and found out I did this wrong!  I booked on Eurostar and had no problem, it's on my app. But when using Bahn app for seat reservations to Würzburg, I received an email but no 7 digits to download on the app. Help me understand this, please!

Hi everybody, I'll go on my first trip in Norway on 11th of April and I'd like visiting Bergen too but I was trying to book my tickets oslo - bergen and I found out that every trip is sold out on that day (except one that is about 13 hours). Is it possible? Anything sold out? Should I wait more time?  

I was trying to find Trains I can take to go from CDG to Bayeux. I am getting “Pass not useable”. What do I have to do?

It looks like we will be taking an NS train from Amsterdam to Brussels in April due to Eurostar not being available. If I book my tickets for the specific train we want via NS International, even though there is not assigned seating, does this still at least guarantee my place on the train? I am worried about trains being full and us not being able to get on one despite booking tickets in advance. It is the tulip festival weekend, and I am guessing trains will be a bit more crowded during this time so I just want to make sure I am planning accordingly.

Hi there,This is the 1st time I am posting query in this community and so please bear with me.  I will be travelling with my family to a few destinations in late Apr/early May, with global pass.  We are planning to travel between Paris > London > Brussel and I understand I have to make seat reservation in advance for taking the Eurostar.  My question is do I have to activate my pass (I have added passenger details into the app but have not activate) in order for me to make the reservation online?  As I have never try online seat reservation, plus I understand that there will be a fee incurred if there is a need to rescheulde my train timing after making seat reservation, hence I need to understand in depth instead of doing something silly.Appreicate your guideline in this matter.Thank you.   

Hy, im trying to book the nightjet 402 from Zürich to Düsseldorf with my interrail 1st Class Ticket and it states i need a reservation. Now im not sure if i get a sleeperbed if i book the seat reservation over Interrail (1. Class) or if this will just be the seat?  Thanks already a lot for all your help😁. Greetings Simon

I am planning my summer holiday 2024. I am buying an interrail ticket and will travel from Horsens in Denmark to Pau in the south of France. The date has not been set yet, but it might be 22/7-2024.I have used German bahn.de to plan the journey. As a part of the journey it suggests that I take SJ's EN 345 from Odense at 01.46 to Hamburg at 06.00.This journey requires a reservation, which is not yet on sale. And Deutche Bahn does not sell tickets for SJ's trains at all.But to check the possibility of buying a seat ticket for EN345, I have searched SJ.se on a random date in the near future. But I am told that the departure is sold out. This apparently applies to all scheduled departures from 3/2-24 to 9/4-2024.Instead, I tried to search for the departure from Copenhagen Airport at 00.10 (or an earlier station in Sweden) to Hamburg at 06.00. Here it is possible to buy a ticket. But I would prefer to avoid traveling all the way from from Horsens (In Jutland) to Copenhagen and then back in

Hi, I’m new to using the Eurail and am planning a trip across Europe. Last week when looking at train times from Basel, Switzerland to Paris on June 17 I noticed some train options that took less than 6 hours to get back to Paris. Today, when I went to make a reservation I found that the same reservation will take over 15 hours. Is the timing too early to look at this or did seats book up that fast? Seems like with an Eurail pass it would be easier to make these reservations but now I’m not so sure.Sincerely,Brock

Hello, Community!I am fairly far along in planning a family trip to England, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.We have Eurail Global Passes. I have successfully made seat reservations using Rail Europe for journeys between London and Paris, Paris and Bayeux, Bayeux and Paris, Paris and Brussels, Brussels and Cologne.I have two questions.One, how do I add these train rides I have seat reservations for as journeys to My Trip on Rail Planner?Two, How do I book all the other non-seat-reservation journeys? Do I need to go through the individual railways? I’ve looked at getting tickets on the Great Western Railway in England, for example, but I don’t see any way to have the cost of the ticket be covered by my pass.Thank you for sharing your experience and insight with someone new to this adventure!Susan

Hi. I bought a mobile global pass in the November sale from the myinterrail website. I’m trying to make some seat reservations on Eurostar through this site and although I’ve created an account, I can’t make a reservation. It’s saying I need to be logged in, which I am. Do I need to create a trip first on this website to be able to book reservations? I can’t see how to add my pass. Will anything I book on here link with my Railplanner app? Any help gratefully appreciated! (I don’t want to make the payments on my phone via the app) Thank you

Hi everyoneI’m trying to book seats for the train from Marseille to Madrid on 23 April at 08:04 but interrail website says I cannot do it on the website. I live in Italy and am travelling with a friend so we’d like to book seats at the same time to be together. Before the login interrail website gave it available to book, but then it isn’t. I’m not going to be in Marseille before the 21 April so I should book it in advance, but how?Can I do this in Italy? Or can I do it over the phone with a train company?Thank you!Eleonora

Hi. Did a search but couldn’t find an answer. Just bought 1st Interrail pass and planning trip from UK to France & Spain. Made seat reservations online OK for initial UK / France part of holiday. However, can’t make seat reservations online for Spanish part of holiday. We are travelling to 7 Spanish cities and booking accommodation so need to be sure we can reserve train seats / tickets. Can we do this in advance in the UK before we leave or only when we arrive in Spain which seems a bit risky as we will have already booked accommodation? Please advise the best way to do this. many thanks in advance.

I bought an Interrail global pass (for my 4-person family) to travel from Rotterdam to Barcelona by train. However it now seems to me that it is impossible to make the seat reservations on the dates we want to travel.I use https://www.raileurope.com/en to plan for the full trip or for the trip in parts. However it repeats to says that “rail pass doesn't apply for this trip".Does this mean that I cannot make the trip on the date that I wanted to?This would mean that I cannot use the Interrail card and I have bought it for nothing?Anyone who can help me out to find a way to travel from Rotterdam to Barcelona on April 28th or April 29th?

Hi Interrailers (and hopefully Interrail customer service)Not a happy bunny – been planning a trip starting in May (10 days, theoretically over 2 months) and most of the planning hinges on the Nightjet from Paris to Berlin (or Vienna).The Eurail/Interrail app clearly states, in red letters, “Prices for this journey will start to be available 90 days before departure”.OK, so i checked out the departure on 27 April, to see what changed when the date came within that 90-day window. At midnight plus one nanosecond, then every few minutes.No prices available.So i checked on the ÖBB Nightjet website and what do i see? “Seats can usually be booked 180 days in advance”. And indeed when you try their booking engine, it allows you to specify any date 180 days from now.Result: there is zero availability from May onwards. Zero.If it weren’t for the notice in red letters on the Eurail/Interrail app i might have had a chance of getting a Nightjet reservation to somewhere. As it stands, hours and hou

End of March I’m on a fast trip to southern Italy. One possible route takes the Inoui 2369 from Paris Gare de l’Est to Strasbourg and then connects to the TER 96225 down to Basel but this only gives a14 min connection time (at 15:40 on a Wed afternoon). The INOUI are pretty prompt but I’m not familiar with Strasbourg statation. Is this too tight? There are no later trains if I take this route!
