Train connections & reservations

Hello! I would be very grateful if someone could help me. I have two doubts.1- I have a Eurail pass, but I cannot access seat reservation dates after December 9th.Could anyone clarify how to reserve seats, please?I need the following reservations: Berlin-Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Bruges, Bruges-Paris and Paris-London.2- I will make reservations for myself and my wife. If I buy both reservations outside the Eurail website and the reservations are in my name, is there a problem?Thank you very much!

Hi! My family of 4 are planning a Europe trip in December 2023 and we have bought Eurail tickets for travelling. But we are having some difficulties with getting seat reservations for some of our journeys and wanted to ask for help because the Rail Planner app does not have the schedule yet for anything after 9 Dec and we are worried that there will be no seats left once it is out. We have also tried getting the reservations via B-europe website but after payment, it showed an error and automatically cancelled our booking. We are still pending a refund so am unsure if we should try again on the website… For reference, these are our planned trips where we will need to reserve seats:1. London to Paris (10 Dec 2023) - London St Pancras International to Paris Gare du Nord2. Paris to Zurich (12 Dec 2023) - Paris Gare De Lyon to Zuerich Hb3. Zurich to Zagreb (16 to 17 Dec 2023, overnight train) - Zuerich Hb to Zagreb Glavni Kol.Should we wait for the timetable to be out on the Rail Planner a

Hiwhen trying to book tickets from montparnasse to bordeaux return in july, I can add the reservations to my cart but when i go to pay it says “ONE OF THE LEGS OF YOUR JOURNEY COULD NOT BE BOOKED.Please try to find an alternate connection. The unavailable leg will be removed from your cart.” What does that mean and why?

Hi! I want to go from Berlin to Paris around Christmas but I am not able to book a ticket in the Rail Planner App… in the App it’s saying that they haven’t updated the new dates yet. Even though you can to book for the exact dates in DB App since a week. Does someone know if I can book my ticket in a different app with the Eurail ticket?

Goedemorgen, binnenkort ga ik op interrail maar tussen Dresden en Ústí nad Labem is er een bus. Kan ik hier gewoon instappen met mijn pas, of moeten er nog speciale reserveringen gemaakt worden? En nog een vraag want waar kan ik de bus vinden? (Is een transfer (vanaf station) van 9 minuten dan ook genoeg?)Alvast bedankt! 

Heey, ik ga over een week op interrail maar nu vraag ik me af of het handig is om reserveringen te maken voor de stoelen..."Treinen die om reservering vragen, besparen u normaal gesproken tijd en hebben veel extra functies, zoals wifi en stopcontacten of slaapfaciliteiten, plus u kunt een plekje naast uw vrienden reserveren."Als ik dit zo lees vraag ik mij af. Heb je dan geen wifi en stopcontacten als je NIET reserveert? En hoe groot is de kans dat ik niet naast mijn vriend kom te zitten in de trein. Want ik reis van Zwolle-Kopenhagen-Berlijn-Praag-Zwolle.

hello, i have to book a train from bologna centrale to munchen the 1 january 2024 on the öbb website and i wanted to know if i have to go to the “daily ticket” section or “book seat (no ticket)” section.also i wanted to ask if someone could explain me the 10€ supplements on this train pls :)

Hi,I’m looking to get from Budapest to Zagreb in a couple days time. The rail planner app shows no direct trains, but it does show a 6.5 hour route which gets the train IC204 to Balatonszentgyoergy, then the train BUS204 to Nagykanizsa, then again the train IC204 to Zagreb. Some websites online seem to suggest it is possible to get the IC204 directly without any changes, but others don’t show this. Can anyone clarify if this train does run directly from Budapest-Deli to Zagreb Galvni Kol.? And if it does, is this covered by the Interrail pass? Thanks very much.

Hey there,  I wanna go to London. my plan is acutally to take the night train before midnight to Offenburg from Germany. I then want to change in Paris and change there to London. The big problem is: It says the reservations from Paris to London in the Eurostar are temporary not available. I should check later. But are there seats left? I guess it would say if there are none left? Also: So this will only need one travel day because it is within 24 hours? Thanks in advance

Hello,I have bought 1st class interrail passes (x2) to travel in France in July.I have been able to book reservations for trains such as Eurostar or TGV no problem.However, I am trying to book reservation for the NOMAD train from Paris Gare St Lazarre to Cherbourg and back and got the dreaded message:Prices unavailableNo price results were found for this connection. It is possible that all pass holder seats are sold out. Please try searching for another connection or check 'More information' and try other ways to book this seat reservation. If no pass holder seats are available anymore you need to buy a separate full fare ticket to board. I have contacted the SNCF who directed me to TER Normandie. One client adviser said that I could not book reservation while another one said it was possible. A quick search on sncf booking service shows that yes, reservations are doable as the screenshot attest.  I have an inner ear disability and must be seated on train hence why I am trying to book

I am planning a trip with my wife and three sons to Europe in June.  I have purchased 7 day Eurail passes and made the necessary train reservations except for one problematic leg of our trip. I am having great trouble making train reservations to Normandy and hope you can help.   We want to travel from Paris to Bayeux or Caen the afternoon of Thursday, June 23 and return to Paris on Sunday morning, June 26.  The Eurail trip planner shows SNCF TER trains available in and out of St. Lazare in Paris but when I try to book the reservation, it says “prices unavailable. It is possible that all passholder seats are sold out.”  Upon investigation, it appears that  SNCF isn't sharing information to allow reservations to be made online and you can only make a reservation in person at the train station.  On SNCF’s website, it appears that some of these trains only require reservations on the weekends but the Eurail app shows that reservations are needed on almost all trip options. This leads me t

Greetings. I am planning to travel with a family of 7 members to Europe in 2 months. I want to buy the Eurorailglobal pass for 4 days.  We are planning leaving Rome to Lausanne as the 1st trip. How do I do this? I have check the Frecciarossa. But I am confused if just with the eurorailglobal pass is enough or if they take it to travel.  I know I have to pay faside for a seat reservation, but when I enter the dates in the Eurorailglobal pass it does not show the dates I need yet.  Also, I do not feel confortable downloading the app to obtain the tickets due to the phone connection. I am a tourist. I want to print the EURORAIL global passes if I ended up buying them. I do not know if I must use the train or the plane. Please advise and explain. Thanks in advance for your help. 

Hello,I have a 7 day one country pass  for France 2nd class and I started my travel today but the ICE in Germany was delayed and I missed my tgv.All of the next tgvs were fully booked for pass holders. Since I need to be in Paris the next day I had to book a first class ticket, which was sadly very expensive. I was wondering if there's any chance to get some money back?Thank you! 

Hi all,I hold an EURAIL pass. I am trying to book seat reservations from Zurich to Paris Lyon on 22d Dec 2023. However, the timetables does not seem t e updated in EURAIL/INTERRAIL website.Do we know when the latest timetable will be updated? Are there any other mechanisms to book seat reservations for TGV Lyria. I called SCF connect in Zurich and they cdnt assist either. I have booked other country seat reservations in DB/LNER/GWR websites. Am I required to tag those reservations with my EURAIL pass in my Rail planner app? or Do I just show my pass from the Rail planner app to the conductors? Am I able to use EURAIL pass within Switzerland? i.e Zurich->Lucerne or Zurich ->Bern etcAppreciate your response. Apologies if this was asked before.

Hiya, I’m new to interrailing, this might sound like a really silly question but if I book a standard sleeper car for me and my girlfriend on the OBB Nightjet, will someone else be able to book the other bunk? Or do I need to book the deluxe one instead?As on the final booking page it says that there is the potential that someone else could book it. However on other messages and support websites it says that if 2 people book for the same room then no one else can book the 3rd bed? Or am i just majorly overcomplicating it? Thanks!

Entro en la aplicación Rail Planner y me anuncia que para el 3 de enero de 2024 todavía no hay horarios.Sin embargo entro en página de los trenes alemanes DB y si puedo solicitar la reserva de asientos para esa fecha de enero del año 2024.Reservar asiento directamente con DB antes de planificar el viaje desde Rail Planner es posible??????

Hello all,On 18 October I'll take the NightJet from Vienna to Arnhem (and after then with the intercity Arnhem-Nijmegen), my homestay-country is The Netherlands. I don't want to spoil my inbound-trip for just 18 km (Emmerich(Gr)-Arnhem) and after then buying a full price ticket Arnhem-Nijmegen. DB and NS-International sells tickets with BahnCard 100, very handy for buying-tickets without having to pay for the German part, (not official, but CIV shouldn't have abandoned the possibility to sell tickets from and to the border.ÖBB sells Reservations with Teilgültigkeit, (but not online, so only optional if you live in Austria, or not so far-away from the Austrian border). How could I solve this? Buying a ticket Emmerich(Gr)-Nijmegen, or sending a mail to ÖBB for an option? Are here Dutch travellers who have had the same problem like me and which solution did they have found? And how much will a Reservation with ‘Teilgültigkeit cost more). Does someone have such ticket and could he/she put

hi everyone. I am trying to book a direct train ride from TGV Lyria - Dijon to Lausanne but the train is not showing on Eurail app. I have entered it manually, but how do I find out if the train is available and how do I book it?
