UPDATE: Customer Service came back to me - they know about the problem with the seat reservations and are working on it…Cross fingers that they manage to solve it quickly… Hello,I have just tried to do seat reservations on the interrail website (interrail.eu), but neither the starting point (Geneva) nor the destination (Paris or London) will show up. It seems to be a problem on the website, as I tried different starting / end points and the only thing that happens is that the page reloads as a blank page. I tried different browsers, all having with the same effect.Has anyone encountered the same problem?Sibylle
Hi all. Thank God for this community, we almost finished on planning and reserving our first family eurail trip. We plan to travel from Interlaken Ost to Zurich on November 15th via Luzern with the Panoramic Express (PE) 0904am. However, Railplanner, SBB and OEBB showed that there is no direct PE train to Luzern on our travel date. The train will stop at Meiringen, and we must take replacement bus from there to Giswil, and board the train again from Giswil to Zurich. We checked on SBB website, this is due to:“Interrupted service Giswil - MeiringenInterrupted rail services between Giswil and Meiringen. This is due to engineering work.” My questions are:Would be it be worth it to choose this PE2919, which require us to take bus half way? Do we need to make or pay another reservation for the bus? Then the PE2919 from Giswil to Luzern, do we need to make and pay another reservation? We really want to try Panoramic Express, but we wonder if we took the PE, we won’t be relaxed to enjoy the sc
Hi allWe travel from Paris to Interlaken Ost on November 13, based on Railplanner App and SNCB App, the earliest is to take TGV 9203 from Paris 0722am to Basel, then IC1069 Basel 11.28am to Interlaken Ost. We need to reach Interlaken Ost before 2pm as we have to take bus scheduled on 2.06pm to Iseltwald. Is there any other way to make reservation for TGV9203 other than from Railplanner? Also, Railplanner showed that we can make reservation for IC1069 although it’s not mandatory. But we thought Eurail pass holders didnt require to make payment for IC trains? A bit confused now Another questions, found that reservation fee for THV9203 is high. Please show us other route that maybe cheaper? Sorry for long post and thanks in advance.
US citizens (wife & I) planning on traveling to 4 locations in July 2024 (London-Paris, Paris-Zermatt, Zermatt-Brussels, Brussels-London). I want to buy 1st class pass and reservations. How accurate are the rates listed on the Eurail reservations that pop up? My hope is to book all reservations through Eurail’s website/app. If I cannot pick seats, how do i insure we are seated together (and would like the facing seats)? When boarding a train that doesn’t require reservations, how do you know seats have not been reserved by someone? How does the 1st class and 2nd class noted on Eurail map to the Business class, Standard Premiere class, & Standard class I read about in the comments?
I will be traveling by train in Spain mid-September through early-October. I bought my Eurail pass back in August. I also made reservations for most of the trains I want to travel on using the Eurail website and printed out those tickets. I can see those reservations in my account on my computer under “Reservations Overview.”I just downloaded the Eurail app to my phone and activated my pass. I have some questions about the reservations I made.Do I need to add my reservations to the Eurail app or are the paper versions good enough? If it’s a good idea to have my reservations in the app, how do I add them? When I set up a “Journey,” I select the train I’m going to take as an option and add it to my “Trip.” How do I indicate that I already have a reservation? After I add a journey, I get a message that says, “To get ready to travel, tap to add this journey to your pass.” What does that mean? I haven’t done that yet since I don’t have the reservations included. Thank you for your help
I'm currently on the Trenitalia TPER 3910 from Ancona to Piacenza. You can find it on trenitalia.com and www.lefrecce.it websites, but not in the RailPlanner, DB (Deutsche Bahn) or Rome2Rio apps. This is crazy frustrating, and makes it so difficult to plan ahead. I got to know about this train at the Ancona train station, 2 minutes before departure, and I caught it 5 seconds before it left the platform.
Hi all. Please help us to decide which train schedule is better for us as we travel with toddler. We plan to leave Brugge on 11th Nov around 9am. Previously we got suggestions from this community to take IC from Brugge to Kortrijk, Kortrijk to Lille Flandres, then take TGV from Lille Flandres to Paris, as it would be many available seats from Lille Flandres and reservation fees much cheaper But so far we checked the schedule from Rail Planner App or Belgian Train website or SNCB app or DB Navigator app, these app show that we must take Brugge to Bruxelles Midi, then take Thalys from there to Paris. If we edit the options by putting via Kortrijk or via Lille Flandres, these apps keep pointing out that we must go to Bruxelles Midi to go to Paris, resulting 4 to 5 change of train. We prefer max 2 change of train and hope to reach Paris around 1 or 2pm.We are so confused now. Please advise.
I confess I did not expect most of my trains to offer reservations only on paper. I only finalized my plans a couple of days ago and now am trying to reserve trains beginning about ten days from now. So I have not left enough time for paper reservations to be shipped to me here (US).My trip goes to five cites in five countries. I am only staying a few nights at each stop. It seems too risky to try and ship my paper reservations to my hotels - the timing is too tight. Any delays and I will miss the shipments. If I go to the carriers’ websites, some do not ask if I already have a Eurail pass, and want to charge me for the trip in addition to the reservation. So that doesn’t seem to be economical.Already I am seeing that some trains I was planning to take show no reservations remaining (on the Eurail planning site). But this may only mean that the Eurail website cannot determine availability.Once I arrive in Europe, is it possible to book seats for international trips (Denmark to Sweden, C

The information on the Eurail website says that you need to print emailed reservations. I won’t have a printer with me while traveling. Will I be able just to show the email instead of printing it?I’m new to the forum, so have been trying to catch up on the topics concerning other travelers. I was disappointed to see that experienced travelers recommend using other sites to make reservations. I was hoping that Eurail would be my “one stop shop”.
I am traveling from Florence to Rome airport via Roma Termini. I have a business class Eurail pass and business class seat reservation from Florence to Roma Termini on Train Frecciarossa 9391 tomorrow. I will connect to RV4624 at 13:20 in Rome to Rome Airport Fiumicino. My Eurail account says I am ready to board but I do not know if I have a seat reserved on this leg. Please let me know.
Hi, this may be a silly question but I will be taking a train with my pass from Amsterdam to Lille in October. My train from Amsterdam to Bruxelles doesn't require a seat resveration nor is one available to purchase, but the connecting train from Bruxelles to Lille does require one. If I buy the seat reservation for the connecting train how do I ensure the first train won't be fully booked that day ? And what happens if I pay for the reservation and then the first train is all booked that day?
HelloWanting to book a Eurrail pass but not sure whether the trains go from Athens to Budapest. It looks as if they do on the map, can anyone confirm this though?
I am currently on my Interrail and arrived in Ljubljana within the hour. I planned this trip months ago and had worked out connections to my hotel. I had set up a new Trip though and the journeys I searched are no longer listed. I planned to just reenter them as I travelled, covering for delays etc. I just went to set up a journey from Ljubljana to Ljubljana Stegne and Rail Planner says there are no routes.I spoke to a lady in the ticket office and she says I can't use Interrail. She gave me a local 3 day ticket for now. Sadly, she gave me a ticket for 19th because I said I was leaving Ljubljana on 20th. Something list in translation, I think.I figured I'm happy to pay for local trains but I checked a train I had planned from Ljubljana to Lake Bled and I get the same. The Interrail website doesn't mention Slovenian trains being excluded. Will I just need to check the Slovenian trains website and add trains manually? Thanks, in advance.
comment planifier mon voyage de Lyon pour faire le tour de la Suisse ?
Hello all! When I booked my train trips I was a complete rookie and didn’t know you could set transfer times. When we leave Nice and arrive in Marseille St Charles we have 17 minutes to switch trains going to Nimes. In Nimes we have 11 minutes to switch trains going to Barcelona. Is this possible? We are not familiar with these specific train stations. These are paid reservations but tickets are Eurail passes and can be changed. I am considering booking new reservations? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Brian
My Eurostar was delayed and so I missed the connection in Brussels to go to Köln. I got a HTONAT endorsement form the Eurostar and wanted to get on the next train (to make my connection to Berlin), but the staff on the Thalys insisted that I had to pay for a reservation to go on it, even though no reservation would have been needed to take the earlier ICE had I not been delayed. Is this correct?
I'm looking at a train from Luxembourg to Stuttgart. There is one that leaves Luxembourg at 1124am and has 2 stops, the trip between Luxembourg to Strasbourg and from Strasbourg to Karlsruhe show reservations required do I pay for both trains in Luxembourg or do I have to buy the reservations at both Luxembourg and Strasbourg.
Hi, I am trying to book seat reservations for routes internal to France. They are on TGV Inoui. Every time I try on Aural it says there has been an error and they will be removed from my cart. I went to the SCNF website, made an account and found the route, but cannot find out how to connect it to Eurail so am getting ridiculous prices as it is the cost of the full ticket, rather than just the seat reservation. How can I book the seat reservation online? Thanks!
I have a 2nd class Europass. My wife and 4yr kid got cheaper tickets in 1st class so we booked them. Is there any way we can travel together? we all have got our seat reservations.I am open to paying fee for my upgrade orthem being allowed to travel in 2nd class? Can someone suggest some possibilities?
I am trying booking a ticket from Prague to Budapest and it only let me buy print tickets to send to my house, why?, I would like buy a e-ticket, how I can do it?
I’m traveling from Barcelona to Seville on Nov 30, 2023 and I’m pleased to see that now I can book AVE trains on the Eurail site. This journey can be completed with a leg from Barcelona to Madrid and then from Madrid to Seville, which is two separate journeys. A few weeks I noticed that an AVE 3940 train runs at 7:32 direct from Barcelona to Seville, but the available dates do not coincide with AVE trains for the 2-leg journey. A few weeks ago, the direct seemed to be available 45 days from the present date, but now it looks like it may have been discontinued after mid-October. I don’t mind paying double, but it would be nice to do the journey on a direct train rather than transfer at Atocha. I’m afraid I may wait for the direct train to be available on my date to no avail. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thank you!
Dear All,I am travelling back from Nice on Saturday evening, leaving at 21:37, with a longish stopover in Marseille - arrive 00:13 & depart at 06:33 travelling to Lille Europe where I am taking the Eurostar to London; I have reserved seats. My question is this though: is this one journey, using my pass, or more? Many thanks, John
Dear All,I have a lengthy night stopover in Marseille - arrive 00:13 & depart 06:33. It seems a very short time to book a room in a hotel so what are people’s thoughts on staying in the station or will the train I arrived on be the same that I leave on so I can stay on it?Thanks, John
