Train connections & reservations

Bonjour,Je suis étonnée car j'ai pu sélectionner comme voyage depuis l'application "Discover EU" pour le 28 juillet :18h23 Fredericia - 20h03 Copenhague.Or je n'arrive pas à le trouver pour ma mère sur l'application Rail planner. Ensuite j'ai pu réserver depuis le site Interrail deux sièges pour ce même jour :8h08 Amsterdam - 10h04 Duisburg. Or je n'arrive pas à le trouver pour la réservation classique depuis l'application. À quels horaires dois-je me fier (site, applications) ? Et est-ce dérangeant si je ne présente que mon QR code réservation de siège ? Enfin pour le 4 août, je souhaite faire le trajet :7h20 Stockholm - 18h03 Hambourg.Pour cela l'application m'indique une seule correspondance à Copenhague. Or sur le site internet il y avait une correspondance en plus à Malmo, je n'est pas eu d'autres choix que de réserver une place assise entre Stockholm et 11h48 Malmo. Madrid - Rome Global Pass & reservations l’m taking that route mid October….any recommendations please ?I saw one option for that trip in RailPlanner…it takes 33 hours after several train exchanges. It takes 3 travel days of the Global Pass also.

Hello, I was wondering about a night train. Basically, I'd like to take the night train from Vienna to Zurich.At first, with the interrail app, it said that you didn't have to reserve a seat for this night train, so I didn't. But I realized a short while ago that the train was now fully booked and that you couldn't reserve any more.What's more, on a page of the interrail website, it said that you had to book for most of the trains. So I wanted to know if I could still get on board knowing that we could no longer book but that on the app it said we didn't have to book? Thanks for your help !  

HiI’am in Rj 130 from Venezia Santa Lucia to Tarvisio Boscoverde and I hadn’t reservation to this train. Conductor said, that You muss have a reservation to train train in Italy. Aplication Railplanner writes seat reservation recommendet. I pay 10 € for my reservation. My question is should i have pay?Ciaoi have a Global pass

It is my first time using online bookings, so I’m not sure about things, so I’ve got questions  I’ve reserved seats only, and it doesn’t give me any QR or anything unlike my previous bookings like Eurostar or SNCF. Do I just use the Eurail pass QR when I get on the train, and when they require I show the Eurail pass and the seat reservation code? I’ve made bookings with both “anytime single” and “advance single”. Is it ok, ie, does the pass work with both booking types? I cannot modify the seats on the train time or date, or even the seats. Am I not supposed to be able to change or cancel the reservation at all? What happens if I reserve a seat and actually don’t get on the train, like with unexpected delays prior to the ride? Will there be any penalities? Thank you very much.

Hello,We are planing a vacation that starts on 20th August. If we buy 22 days travel pass can we do seat reservation although our travel will start on 20th August ?Or do we have to buy 15 days in 2 months travel pass?Thank you :)

Moin,ich hatte meine Rückfahrt am Samstag geplant gehabt und hatte schon eine gute Route. Ich wollte dann etwas in der DB anschauen und es fiel mir auf das dieser IC 60470 ein Nachtzug ist. Ich hatte die Route extra genommen gehabt weil ich keine Sitzplatzreservierungen unternehmen möchte. Ist das notwendig für den NJ jetzt noch eine Reservierung zu buchen oder kann ich auch ohne einsteigen? (Ich kann zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt keine mehr buchen)  LG

I would like to know if the night train (EN 40465) from zurich to zagreb need seat reservation because i cant find a way to reserve a seat. The app is confused aswell.

Hi there,im planning a longer Trip on a specific day with multiple train changes. I’ll need to get reservations for some trains. So far, so good.What could I do, if i miss one of the trains that require a reservation due to delay of a previous train?I would have to take the next train, but i wont have a reservations for that one and probably it will be full already. Do I have to switch to trains that don’t require reservations in that case?Thanks for advices.

I’m trying to book two journeys for September for 5 people:Depart Zagreb Glavni Kolodvor: 19:38Arrive Lesce Bled Station:22:47And on a separate day:Depart Lesce Bled: 22:49Layover: Villach Hbf 23:48 (1hr 46mins)Arrive Genova Piazza Principe: 09:08Both journeys say seat reservation required but then they won't let me book so basically I can’t book the journeys. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so do they have any advice?Thank you

We wanted to book a night-train between Budapest and Bucharest and we don't know how to connect the pass Interrail on the Hungarese train website.When we choose the trip on the Interrail App, it's 5€ but on the Hungarese website, we see we have to pay 60€ ... Sorry for my English and thank you in advance ! Have a nice day 😊

I’ve purchased a first class pass and am trying to book a seat reservation from Barcelona-Sants to Alicante Termino on 17/08/23 at 10:15am, but the aural website is only showing 2nd class reservations available. Does this mean first class is sold out?Can I used my first class pass with a second class reservation?Thanks!

Hi I have booked and reserved seats from Florence to Interlaken west with a train change from Milano P garibaldi to then Milano Centrale to Spiez then Spiez to Interlaken west. tickets have been sent to me for all except Spiez to Interlaken west. I have no ticket. I’d this right ? Is the ticket to Spiez valid through?or do I have to pay for this once I arrive?the app shows me all the way through on my Trip with ticket activated.   

I have a 1st class pass.  Can I book second class on Eurostar? Has anyone here done it?

I have booked a seat reservation on the eurostar. I have a first class global ticket but I have booked a second class seat reservation however I am worried as on the reservation ticket it says Holder of valid Eurail/Interrail Pass Second Class only. does this mean that my first class pass is not valid and only a second class pass is valid?

I accidentally wrote the wrong birth place for the reservation of a train of Trentitalia. But the birth place is not printed on the train ticket. So does it matter or should I get in contact with them to correct the given data?Thank you a lot!

Bonjour, J'ai effectué le 24 juillet 2023 un trajet de Copenhague (départ 7h40 avec 5 changements) à Amsterdam. Le train de Hamburg-Harburg (départ 14h58) à Duisburg Hbf (arrivée 18h10) était en retard de 25min. Nous sommes arrivées à 18h35 à Duisburg Hbf. J'ai donc raté ma correspondance de Duisburg Hbf (départ 18h26) à Amsterdam Centraal (arrivée 20h29). J'avais réservé une place dans ce train et j'aimerais savoir si je peux me faire rembourser le train à grande vitesse ? Si oui, comment ? J'ai effectué ma réservation directement avec le site interrail. J'ai pu rejoindre Amsterdam en prenant 2 trains.. sans réservation donc gratuit avec mon pass Interrail mais j'arrive 1h après à Amsterdam. Merci. Cordialement.

I have a global pass for second class and I bought seat reservations for first class. I wasn’t aware my interrail ticket had a specific class, so I was moved from the 1 class ticked I bought. i already booked several 1 class seat reservations, is there any way I can change them to second class? I already paided. 

I am looking to travel from Barcelona to Cadiz on the 2nd of August and back on the 6th of August.So far I could get reservations online for part of the trip on the Eurail site but for other parts it was sold out or not possible to reserve.-So I was wondering if I could either book a ticket somewhere online for parts of the trip that I could not reserve? and what site you would recommend for this? I saw for example “Thetrainline’ but am not sure if I could trust it or if there are better sites. -or how I could find a (regional) train that is not needed to reserve from Sevilla to Cadiz ( this part is the hardest to find reservations for)

Hi,This is my first time Interrailing and while the opportunity is fantastic, I’m finding the organisation rather stressful and often nebulous. I am also doing my planning rather last minute as I decided to join someone on short notice so I don’t have a lot of time.I am planning a trip from Geneva to Tbilisi (Georgia), starting next Friday (14/07). I will be going from Turkey to Georgia by bus, but doing all the previous bits on my Interrail pass. Two questions :I need to book Budapest > Bucharest on the 15/07 either at 15h10 (ideal) or 11h10 (changing trains in Arad). The Interrail site is only offering me a paper ticket which I am too late to get. I have tried going through the MAV website, I found an Interrail discount (Bérlet (pl.interrail) ) so I thought I could book this way, however I noticed the prices given are the same with and without the discount…. Is my only option really to book in a train station ? I will have hours to do so in Budapest, how likely is it I may be conf

We bought a global eurail pass and will be arriving at Heathrow and taking a train to Paddington on our way to Bath. I am fairly certain the Pass does not cover the Heathrow Express but does cover the Elizabeth Line. At Heathrow, how, specifically, do you validate the Eurail Global Pass to ride the Elizabeth Line? It doesn’t seem like the travel planner feature of the app includes the Elizabeth Line . Do we have to stop at a ticket window to validate the pass for this trop?
