Train connections & reservations

HiI’ve just come off the ‘phone with Renfe Sales, expecting to be able to reserve a seat on an AVE (Seville - Barcelona) in a little over 50 hours (4pm on the 12th July).The lady on the call said that I could reserve a seat but that:1. It had to be collected and paid for at a Spanish main station by 4pm tomorrow, ie a full 24 hrs before departure. 2. It would only be held until then and that I couldn’t reserve, pay and collect on the day of departure (which would be well within a 48-hour window).I’m in Vilamoura, Portugal and won’t arrive in Seville until 10pm tomorrow. I’d expected to be able to walk into the station at 9am on the 12th and pay & collect. On here (and other sites), I’m seeing advice that says you have up to 48 hours to pay and collect, but that you can’t reserve within 24 hours of departure (and I’ve seen advice that says you can).I’m utterly lost 🤷‍♂️Can one (or more) of you kind individuals who have unlocked this process help me understand the situation here, an

I'm looking to go by train to Italy from Germany and it says “supplement required”. Is this included in the price when I book a seat reservation at OBB or DB? Or do I need to pay the supplement even when i have a seat reservation from OBB or DB?

I’ve been trying to make reservations for travel from Paris to Caen on Oct. 7, 2023 for days. I just keep getting error messages. What good is a Eurail pass if it’s impossible to make reservations. I want to make reservations from St. Lazare to Caen on Oct. 7 leaving at 11:00 arriving Caen at 13:00.I’m very frustrated with your reservation.

I am wanting to book seat reservations for a direct train from Berlin to Warsaw.  Have checked several sites and am not sure I can do this as cross border.Can I book this on Eurail or do I need to use another site and book 2 different seat reservations ie one for each country.Sorry all a little confusing, hoping someone can help me...TIA

I would like to take a train from Edinburgh to London and under "reserve seats" on the Interrail website it says that the seat must be reserved for €6 but must be reserved from an external site. If I go to the LNER or GWR website, I can reserve a seat for free, but not on ACP Rail. What is the right option to securely reserve the seat?

I am trying to book the train from Stockholm to Narvik which leaves around 18:10 pm. we are 4 passengers and would like to book the own second class compartment. However we are getting assigned 1 compartment for the 4 passengers when the second class has only 3 beds ? How to book to compartments instead? If we book first for 2 people and then again for another 2 , how can we be sure to be assigned compartments near to each other ? 

Hi I booked the 14.45 D211 train departing Ljubljana for Zagreb Glavni Kolodvor arriving at 17.10 through OEBB website and have reservations made for me and my travel companion. I can't find this train in the planner. Is there something I haven't spotted where I can manually add it to my trip?There are few direct trains available and the longer trains involve 50 minutes walk between border stations. See screenshots attached for more information 

I am trying to make reservations for the pass I just bought. I’m noticing that there’s no direct trains from central Paris (Montparnasse) to central London (Waterloo or close to London Bridge). Will I need to book from Paris Du Nord (default) to London St Pancras (default) instead of the ones I mentioned above and from St Pancras to Brussels Midi instead of Brussels Central and then get a taxi? When I pick the station I actually want, it increases travel time by a lot more than a few minutes it would take to travel between those stations. Not sure what the best option is. thank you.

This will sound very stupid but I have not booked any seat reservations yet for my interrail trip I am currently on, and I need to travel from Hamburg to Copenhagen tomorrow, 9th of July.Can anyone help with seat reservations? I keep receiving error messages from the interrail website and the countries train line websites.

So what happend?I’m checking my seat reservations and I have two seat reservations for the 12:26 ICE 314 train from Frankfurt am Main to Brussels Midi (South station) on Saturday 12th of August. From there I have two seat reservations for 15:52 THA 9351 to Rotterdam Central station. I bought the ICE seat reservations at OBB. I’m checking the exact train times and the 12:26 ICE 314 is completely missing from the schedules. So what is the best thing to do? How can I change my seat reservations for both the ICE and the THA ?Any help?Thanks in advance ! 

Hi! I’ve been reading some topics about the connections to Belgrade. So, my question is: how can I arrive in Belgrade from any country around? Even if there aren’t train connections.

We are travelling from Brussels to Amsterdam tomorrow Sunday 2nd April. Made decision to take cheap intercity. Looking on planner it's now asking to pay supplement. I think for the airport we don't want obviously! Also train now taking 3h 15m instead of 2h 50m. Can anyone tell me do we have to pay this on board or before hand? Do we have to pay if we are not using airport? We are a family of 6. Thanks 

Good afternoon, I try to make a reservation for train 195 Hernad, from Kosice (14.01) to Miskolc (15.19) on the 1st of October, first class.Via oebb.at, zssk.sk and cd.cz it is not possible to book this reservation (yet?). On mav.hu it is possible to book a train ticket for this train, but I cannot find an option to book only a seat reservation. On (for example) thetrainline.com it is possible to book a train ticket for this train.Is there another option to make a seat reservation for this train?Thank you :-) ​​​​

Is it a problem during the train check if you have a 1st class train ticket but booked the seat reservation for the 2nd class because there was no free seat in 1st class?

Hello!I’ll be travelling w/ my husband and 3 kids mid july and we plan to take the Bosphorus Express from Bucharest to Istanbul. The tickets seems to be only available at the Bucuresti Nord Rail Station. We will be arriving there only the same day of our departure. As we are 5, I’m a bit stress about getting the 5 couchettes booking only some hours before departure. If someone has feedback to tell me if it’s a busy train or not (especially in July), it would be nice. Thank you ! Anaïs

I’m very worry about my reservation from Wien to Amsterdam with obb nightjet: We’re 2 adults + 2 children and we bokeed a couchette.On monday I received a mail from obb nightjet informing that there’s a problem and we don’t have the couchette, the company propose to travel on seats o cancel the reservation.I’ve called two times to the company and the persons who attended my by phone are sure that my reservation don’t have any problem, all is ok. I’ve asked them some mail saying that (all is correct and you have your couchette) but they say is not possible (I don’t understand why). So, someone in the same situation now or in the past? Someone knows what can I do? I already have the pdf ticket, so my intention is go to the train station. Many thanks!

I am trying to reserve a seat in first class ICE 13 on July 21, Brussels to Frankfurt (08:25 to 12:32) since last week of June. I am checking everyday but app shows there is no reservations possible. Looks like reservation in first class is full. I am using interrail Germany pass. Next option , I have is an ICE train with departure late in in the afternoon which is not an option.I have reservation from Brussels to Aachen. I have NO reservation from Aachen to Frankfurt. Is it really normal that train is full 4 weeks in advance? First class tickets are available to book on ICE 13 even though system doesn’t allow reservationI have following option, which is better?Add Brussels to Frankfurt in the journey and travel without reservation after Aachen. Can they ask passengers to leave the train if train is overcrowded. If yes, will railplanner app allow to change or add new journey from Aachen? So I won a DiscoverEu pass and my friend bought the same one so we can go together but if I want to make a group on interrail.eu I am not allowed. It says that he has a different type of pass. Do you have some suggestions how we can create a group or we just reserve the seats separately?

Heya!I am trying to book a ferry from Igoumenista to Patras in August and although there it appears in the interrail app when i got to the superfast/anek website the journeys do no seem to be there, does anyone know why and how I can book this journey? Thank you!!
