Train connections & reservations

Hi we have just received an email to say this train is not running and so  we are trying to book the earlier direct train at around 830. It’s saying reservation required but then does not allow me to book. Any advice would be really appreciated. We are currently in Bratislava waiting for a train and I tried the ticked office here but they could not help

Hi, we are travelling with a family (teenagers from 19. 18 and 16). From Milano - Turino, the app tells us that we need a seat reservation for a 1-hour journey. Is that correct? Or can we jump into the train? 

I have a reservation for the eurostar from London to Paris next Saturday. The reservation I have paid for is for the 09.24 train. However there is not a departure at that time any more, its at 09.31. The number of the 09.31 train is the same as it is on the reservation for the 09.24 train so I'm assuming they have altered the timetable. I haven't had an email. Do you think I need to do anything?

Hello.I have activated my pass, created an itinerary and added trip segments ("journeys") to the itinerary. I have also indicated travellers and the respecive passcodes, and reserved seats on trains that require seat reservations. Some of the transactions were completed on the Eurail.com site on my desktop. When I look at my Rail Planner app, it said 0 of X days used. Looking over the help section, it said to add the journey segment in the app. When I tried to add the journey, I just see a list and no button to add the journey. Am I booked on all segments of a journey? One journey goes from Amsterdam to York, where I do have reserved seats on the Thalys, Eurostar and Express portions of the journey. The first segment of the journey that connects us to the Thalys did not require seat reservations so I have not reserved any.How do I reserve spots on the first train (where seat reservations are not necessary) if I am not already booked? We are a group of 4 travelers that all have Eurail passes.  We are trying to make seat reservations together.  We have 2nd class passes but might want to upgrade to First Class for certain legs of our trip.  Is there an easy way to do that?

Hi,I’ve bought seat reservations by using interrail’s seat reservation tool for a trip between Venice and Vienna. The information on interrail’s website says that the supplement will be included in the seat reservation, and that “supplement included” will be printed on the ticket. However, this is not the case on my tickets as “supplement included” is not printed anywhere. Do I need to buy the additional supplement separately or is it included in the ticket despite “supplement included” not being printed on it?

Hi some months ago I reserved seats on a Regio  Jet train from Prague to Bratislava for 29/6/23. I just want to confirm that I can use my  Global Rail pass as I cannot find the trip in the planner and was reading sometime people have a problem  Will I have to manually add it. Thank you

 I have the global pass impress, and I wanted to know about the train transfer like, for example: I want to go from Bologna to Salzburg, and the option without reservations is doing 3 transfers; In the Mytrip section in the pass, I have to aim the transfers in the same day as trips?

Hi, i have buy a 5 days for 1 month pass. I try to reserve my place in the train, but the website tell me that's it's unavailable for some travelers, do you know why and what can i do ?  Thanks a lot

Hi! My family and I are planning to travel to 6:29 Geneva to 9:42 Paris Lyon tomorrow (We’ll be coming from Zermatt). It requires a seat reservation, but I can’t buy it directly from the eurail website. I’ve found the train tickets to other websites such as SNCF and b-europe but the eurail pass isn’t showing up as a discount card. I’ve found thalys and eurostar pass fare website where I can pick the eurail as discount card but Geneva isn’t showing up as a departure station. Please help! I think we can buy the seat reservation on the station based on Eurail but we’re scared that we might have to pay more than $190 for 6 people (the $ showing on eurail for seat reservation). 

I have a Eurail pass, trying to book reservations on Eurail site from Paris St Lazare to Caen,France.I am within 90 days of the booking(SNCF train) I have cleared all filters and have entered different dates,I think I should be able to click on “book reservations” but keep getting message that says, parts of this journey can't be booked with us even though they require res. We suggest you search for alternative train conn.Try filtering results ect.ect. Thanks for any feed back!

I want to travel from Bucuresti to Halkali only the seat reservations are unavailable. See below: Now I found this online for converted 110 euro: Why is it possible to book via the other website but not on Interrail? Do you know a better way to book?

Hello travelers, I have been trying to get seats from Paris to Bruges and Amsterdam and back but it has been next to impossible via the Eurail site. Does anyone have advice as to how I can go about getting a seat on a train?I want to travel on July 5 and July 10. I know it is too close but I have been trying for over a month before I got here in Europe.Thank you in advance. 

Hi everyone :)I am planning on travelling from Wroclaw to Dresden via Zgorzelec. While the DB Navigator says there is a direct regional train from Zgorzelec to Dresden-Neustadt, the Rail Planner does not show me this connection. Instead it wants me to take a train leaving Zgorzelec at 12pm and then transfer in Görlitz and Bischofswerda, while the direct train also departs at the same time. The direct train is the TLX RE1. Does anyone know whether this train is included in the Internation Interrail Pass or not? Thanks for your help!

I am trying to make a reservation for a train from Cannes to Barcelona-Sants and have been unable to make the reservation online since it is not domestic and I cannot get through to the international number. The route is July 14 12:01 Cannes to marseille st charles (TER17486). Then marseille st charles at 17:49 (TER76562) to Nimes pont du gard. Next, nimes pont du gard to Barcelona-Sants (TGV9715) (17:49-21:25).  My issue is I cannot get the TGV9715 booked and I am wondering if anyone knows how to fix this issue? Online it says the first two trains do not require reservations so my understanding was that I could just use the QR code given in the app to board those two trains.  I have tried the SNCB website for TGV9715 but since it is a domestic route it will not work and the number given is not working with my phone. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it as I don’t know what to do and most places I have tried to ask aren’t familiar with eurail and will only let me

I’ve got an interrail pass and want to reserve/buy a seat reservation for the bruxelles-midi → strausburg train on 17th of july 2023 at 7:17. However I cannot do it online, does someone know other ways? i tried to call, and through the sncf-connect i can only book and buy entire tickets, not just seat reservations. 

Hi allI have an interrail global pass and a couchette reservation for the Intercity Notte from Milano Centrale to Bari for this coming Saturday. The plan is to come from Switzerland during the day and then catch the night train in the evening in Milan.Now I am thinking to go even a bit further to Piacenza using day trains, have dinner with a friend there and then catch the night train from there (Piacenza is its first stop after Milano). Do you think this is possible? Or will my reservation expire if I’m not on the train in Milan?Does anyone have any experience here?Many thanks in advance for your help!Kind regardsSebastian 

Hello everyone! Its gonna be my first time in mainland Europe and I’m pretty excited, but also a little overwhelmed figuring out travel for me and my partner (she’s born in March 1996, so 27yrs old, for the purposes of the train pass ;) )This is our plan: 29th July: I arrive in Paris late evening, stay and explore the city for 2 days (30-31st July).  1st August: Travel to Visp/Saas Fee (near Interlaken in Switzerland) where i’ll join my partner. This I believe I have to do either via Zurich or Geneva.  2nd August: Travel from Visp/Saas Fee to Interlaken, stay there for 3 days and enjoy some of the activities such as the lake ride, travel to nearby places such as Grindelwald, Lucerne/Lungern and Jungfrau (though I’ve seen the train trip is fairly expensive, so i’m open to alternatives!). Other suggestions on what to do are welcome as well :D  5th August: Travel from Interlaken to Como, via Lucerne (from where I want to take the Treno Gottardo) and Lucarno. Hello,we are going to interrail for the first time with 5 persons, but we have 5-day travel passes but I would also like to visit Denmark on the way back and the other 4 will go home. How could we best book? The best part is that we could travel together as much as possible.Our plan is:day 1 -2 - from the Netherlands to (west)Sweden, Hamburg night train - 5 personsDay 3 -  From west Sweden to Stockholm. - 5 personsDay 4 (5) -  i will travel from Stockholm to Copenhagen. Why is it saying all these train times are available and then I get to purchase and it says “one of the legs of your journey could not be booked” This is happening with all like 10 train times available for the entire day?? is this a glitch?  

Hi guys!I’m trying to make a reservation for a train ticket from Raciborz (17:14, 08.07.2023) to Prague Hlavni Nadravi (21:45, 08.07.2023). The Interrail website tells me that no reservation is required, but I can make one if I want a place, and the Rail Planner app tells me that a seat reservation is required.Which one is true? How can I make a reservation? There’s no button anywhere to do it.Thanks a lot for your help from advance!Jakub

Hi! I was wondering if it is still possible to reserve a seat on IC 399 (on night of 27 or midnight of 28 July 2023)  Eurail app says no reservations is needed but I don’t want to risk not getting a seat.  However, I’ll tried finding the train on cd.cz and OBB, but no luck. 

I need to go from Venice to Anacona. I don't need to book a seat to Bologna.  But on some I need to book from Bologna to Anacona.  Do i  just activate my pass for the day ? Thanks Maryann 😊 

I'm trying to book a night train from Zürich to Amsterdam, but it seems to be impossible. I am able to find a train called 'Nightjet 402', but  when I try to get tickets to it using ÖBB app, it just says 'ticket not available'. I have tried many other apps and websites, too. And I have tried many different dates. Do I have to get tickets to that train at the train station? Or is there some way to book those in advance (seat reservations or tickets)?   (I have interrail global pass)
