Train connections & reservations

Buenas! En nuestro viaje, una de las etapas llegamos a Cofre, pero no sabemos cómo continuar organizando el viaje hasta Atenas, ya que desde la aplicación no encontramos horarios de trenes.¿Alguien ha hecho este trayecto?¿Cómo podríamos planificar los trenes en Grecia? Un saludo  

I have eurail pass and want to go from Roma Termini to Sorrento. On google maps the route is7am Roma Termini to Napoli Centrale 8:12am, then 8:21am Piazza Garibaldi to Sorrento 9:34am.  I can only find 7am train on italiarail.com but no connecting trains on oebb app from Napoli Centrale/Piazza Garibaldi until 11:35am although google maps show differently (but that also no bus tickets for LK029 change from Napoli Afragola to Sorrento).  Is the entire route covered by eurail?how to buy tickets for the 2nd leg after arriving at Napoli Centrale?What’re my best options without boat pls?

Hi everyone! I need to go from France (Paris) to Germany on 12.06.2023 after vacation. I have a Interrail pass, but can’t find available seats to reserve:-((( I have checked it also at train station in Bourges (France) but it indicates “train fully booked”. I’m very stressed since I have to work on 13.06.2023. The routes that are suits me are below:ICE9573 from Paris Est at 10:55TGV9575 from Paris Est at 13:55ICE9563 from Paris Est at 15:21TGV9579 from Paris Est at 17:55Hope to get any help here.And what will happen if I will have a ride without seat reservation? Thank you all in advance!

Hi,Hope you can help me out: I want to know if this railpass works between european countries and how easy is to book them.Context:I will be there with my girlfriend mid July to mid August visiting on holidays We will visit France, England, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy in that order I already bought outside the pass the trains between France-England and England-Belgium because is the start of our journey (maybe i wasted money, but sometimes you lose) We want to travel between cities in the afternoon because we want to avoid getting at night to our destination.My questions are:It’s really granted that i will have my train tickets (2) or this seat quota is difficult to get (the flight in is in 5 weeks) in a specific day? We are two so it’s possible to reserve the two seats at the same time? The local travel includes the metro or it’s specifically to inter-city trains?Thanks in advance and I apologize for my english.Saludos

How long do I need for connections, for example at Karlsruhe Hbf, is 30 minutes enough time to transfer trains?

I need to know if the fee for the seat reservation is the same in the 1st class and the 2nd class, cause I want to reserve de 1st class pack, but i don’t know if the reservation seat fee is the same in both classes for example: in the app, the fee for Paris to Amsterdam is 34 euros, my question is: if I buy the 1st class pack, the fee for seat reservation will be 34 too??  thanks 

Family of 4 - just purchased 10 day / 2 month passes 1st class. After considerable time trying to understand how to use app have just attempted to book a high speed train from Paris - Venice or Verona on Aug. 16 though nothing appears available - even in the surrounding days . I have looked via various rail sites/apps also. Is extremely frustrating . My question is , are these high speed trains yet to be schedule released - or are they actually sold out. And if they are sold out - will I assume the alternate trains  (slower / 9 hours ) which can’t have seats reserved will be extremely busy so can’t guarantee a seat? Appreciate advice. Thanks 

Hi! I can’t find any way to make a reservation for Hamburg - Stockholm night train. I checked different dates in case it’s sold out, but I can’t reserve in March, April, or August.The date I want to travel : August 16th.Train: it’s a night train, I think it is called EuroNight.Operator: if I’m not wrong, OBB.I also checked OBB’s website, it says Ticket not available to purchase - or similar.I feel you need a PhD to book trains crossing borders haha!Anyone has any idea for me to be able to book this train? All help will be much appreciated! Hello, i would like to ask if we can travel from serbia (belgrade) to greece (thessaloniki) using the train that departs at 18:21 and arrives at thessaloniki at 10:08 without using 2 travel days but rather one, is that possible?We are from greece and it is going to be our last train for getting home!

So we had a ferry scheduled from igoumenitsa to Ancona on the 5th of June, and have seat reservations back home all brought from Ancona to London. However Supperfast ferries threw a spanner in the works this evening by messaging us to let us know the Ferry is no longer stopping at Igmoumentsa, after spaking with them they advised us that we have to leave the day before or the day after, Our interrail pass will run out before we got home to London if we leave the day after, and we are unable to leave the day before because of work. Instead we are looking at getting the Ferry to Bari, which is fine, although we will require a different set of seat reservations from Bari to London.We want to know if seat reservations are refundable? and if so how it works? I can just see on my Interrail account you have to click a button and interrail will ask the train company if we get a refund. But that;s a bit problematic, as we might find out that we don’t get a refund and in that case we would try a

Hi, I’m trying to book seat reservations for two travelers from Marseille to Barcelona on July 10th, using the Eurail pass. I am given options when I search however when clicking on the options the price will disappear and I am unable to add the reservation to my cart. Other options remain available, but when attempting to pay will say “one of the less of your journey cannot be booked.” Wondering if there are any other options I can take to book these tickets.  

Hello everyone,So, I’m having great trouble reserving a sleeper cabin on the GWR Night Riviera Sleeper. From the GWR website the reservation with an interrail ticket can’t be made. I called them up and they said that by phone they won’t book them anymore either (apparently this has been like this since a few months - they had trouble with mismatching passes).The main SBB station in Berne can’t book reservations anymore for most train companies in the UK either and the interrail website, when working, tells me that it can’t be booked through them either.On the phone GWR advised me to book directly from a station in the UK, however I fear that by the time I’m there there likely won’t be a cabin anymore.I believe it might be possible to have a friend in the UK book the reservation for me, but surely there must be some way that it can be done from abroad? Would it be possible to buy a regular ticket and have the ticket fee reimbursed?I’m sure someone has done similar and I hope there is a

Me and six friends are traveling in late June to early July- When trying to book seat reservations it says prices unavailable on the site, mainly the over night trains e.g-Prague to Budapest-Ljubljana > Sevnica to SplitWe are quite stressed as this may be because the seats are booked up and we wont be able to board these trains , however is it possible to go to the station in person a day or a few hours before and book a seat reservation or is this not possible. Please let me know as we are quite stressed about it. Thankyou x

I would like to book a family pass but haven’t done so yet. We will be travelling from the UK on a particular day: and on that day staying in France with friends who will only be able to meet us at the nearest train station at a reasonably early time in the day. Ie.  don’t want to waste time or money buying the Interrail pass before we know exactly which reservations are on offer and whether it suits. I have gone to the generic Eurrail / Interrail help & support page about how you do this but still can’t see how I can look up which seat reservations are available. Nothing comes up when I enter our dates. Help!I would prefer to use a helpful website than download a space and data consuming app. So no app recommendations, please. Queries: I want to know before booking the Eurail pass whether it’s worth buying the first / second class pass. Where can I do that? And see all the available seat reservations for the different travel legs and days, before buying a pass?  I’d like to know i

I want to go by bus from Murjek (Sweden, Norrland) to Kvikkjokk. The provider is Länstraffiken  Norrbotten , which is listed as participating by Interrail (www.interrail.eu/de/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/trains-europe/railway-companies). But I can’t get a ticket: Kvikkjokk is not listed at all, for there is no railway station.

We have the Global Pass, our trips are all added to the pass. Tried to book seat reservation on PE train from Interlaken to Montreux on Eurail reservation page. The video showed very easy booking but not at all like that on their reservation site. Are we missing something?

Hiwe have used up our eurail travel days. We need to get from Venice St Lucia to Rome Termini tomorrow with 2 adults, 1 senior and 2 kids (age 7-10). Should I get another eurail pass (Italy only) or trenitalia pass (kids travel free) to get on the Frecciarossa to Rome? We may also consider going to Pompeii. then we can use the pass for Rome city to Rome airport? 

Hi there, I'm trying to get out of sofia, and my plan was to go to Bratislava. I guess the night sleeper from Bucharest to Budapest is the most suitable for this, but I cannot seem to find a way to book a seat or bed online, without paying for the whole ticket. I am scared that if I book it in the train station, it will be sold out. I tried OBB, db and CFR. It is for tomorrow. Help is very appreciated, thank you in advance! 

Hi,I had bought seat reservation tickets for me and my travel companion for the Frankfurt - Arnhem route via the OBB site, only there is only 1 name on the ticket. Is this a problem? And if it is a problem what should I do now?

my app is stuck in a loop trying to activate the journey I wanted. it is stuck for hours and the app is not responding to any attempts to make it work. I have a photo of it but cannot send it here.

Hi everyoneI’m looking at my options traveling from Lake Bled to Split on the 30th August this year and aren’t having much luck so far! Is anyone familiar with the route?I think I will have to catch an early train (which I believe is a night train) to Zagreb and from there after a long wait go onto Split, arriving in the evening. The OBB site just says “tickets not available” for the first leg and it’s not possible to get a reservation either. Is this train likely to be full already?Would a coach be a better option?Thanks!Ben

Hi, we are travelling to Marseillan Plage in the summer via Paris with a one country pass for France.If we take the TGV from Mannheim to Paris we will have to pay until Forbach and if we take the ICE from Karlsruhe to Paris we have to pay until Strasbourg, right? Just wanted to make sure as this is the first time we are travelling by Interrail with a one country pass and I can’t seem to find this information anywhere on the Interrail site. Thanks,Annika  

Hello, I’m trying to book a seat reservation for EC 405 from Berlin Hbf (9.50 am) to Warsaw for August 1st  IC 107 from Warsaw (7.10 pm) to Budapest for August 2ndThey’re both available on PKP intercity website but they don’t show any interrail discount/seat reservation only. EC405 is shown on DB website but they say the reservation is impossible. I’d prefer to avoid booking via interrail website since it’s quite expensive (and they also say IC107 can’t be reserved on their website).  I was wondering if there’s any way to reserve a seat only via PKP or if you have any other advice on how to find these tickets.Thanks!

Hi, We are trying to book a private sleeping cabin on the night train from Malmo to Stockholm (14/8 22:32-05:37) with a 2nd class pass.However, the message below is shown on booking page.“Prices unavailableNo price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.” When I tried to search this train on SJ website, it says:“Track work is plannedRight now, track work is planned on the route Malmö C–Sthlm Central when you want to travel. We release tickets when the planning is complete and we know how the trains will be able to run.Come back at a later time or choose another journey.” Is it possible to know when will the train work finished planning so I could possibly reserve a seat?In everyone experience, should I wait for the planning or should I search for another train/transportation? Thank you for your replies in advance!
