Train connections & reservations

I have planned a trip using the website. I have received the reservations to my mail and that’s fine, but how do I see the planing in my app now? do I have to do the plan again in the app? why it dose not shows automatically in the app once I entered my pass?

Hi, I am having no luck booming seat reservations for the Switzerland one country pass. Been on all the websites Interail has recommended and all say the reservation is unavailable or no required.  Any help would be grateful. 

Hello, I made a reservation on the eurail site (web). The trip is from Verona to Zurich. The Journey is from:(1) Verona to Milan (Requires Reservation)(2) Milan to Lugano (Youre ready to board)(3) Lugano to Zurich (Youre ready to board) The reservation required is only the first part so I booked it and got my ticket.Part 2 and 3 of the journey, says on the journey, 'You're ready to board'. So I assumed that it doesn't require reservation.My problem is, I can't find the same scheduled journey on my Rail Planner app.On the eurail reservation the entire journey is from 10:02 AM (Verona) arrive at 14:55 (Zurich). I'm having headache now, I dunno how to activate the same journey in my app and add it to may pass if I can find that exact scheduled trip. Hope you can help, it’s my first time 😭  

Everytime I try to finalise my reservations  París - London Eurostar on 29th July, departure 20.13, I am told something has gone wrong, refresh the page. I have refreshed several times with the same result

Hi,We (family of 4) have Interrail global passes and need to travel from Zürich to Lierna (by lake Como, Italy) on June 19th and from Lierna to Innsbrück on June 26th. I know the Italian timetables are slow to get published, but I'm getting anxious because it's only a couple of weeks and I'm still not able to see the timetables except for the high speed trains. I've been checking both Trenitalia and SBB websites. Am I missing something? I would be extremly grateful if someone could help me with finding good routes and timetables for those dates! I'm also a bit conflicted as to wether or not to get reservations (when they are not compulsory). The SBB website is showing extremely high occupancy for some of the connections that I've been looking at for example next Monday (the same day of the week that we will be travelling), although I've learned here that seat reservations are generally unnecessary in Switzerland.

HiI bought tickets Zurich to Milano Centrale 7 June 8:33am for 5 ppl with eurail pass on ÖBB site, on Eurocity 311. We intend to split up with 3 people heading to Venice first (after lunch) and the other 2 later on the same day. But now the 3 people want to go direct to Venice without stopping for lunch in Milan. If I book them on the same Eurocity 311 which departs Milano 12.05pm, will they need to get off the train, exit with other arrivals and re-enter through departure gate or can they just stay on the train? I don’t see any option to cancel/exchange the original tickets for 5 people. (I bought on website before I downloaded the app, now can’t see them on app)

Hi,I want to travel from Sofia to Bucharest in 3 weeks with my daughter and then, and the same day by the night train to go to Budapest -i checked the train timetable-, but i read that we can’t book Sofia-Bucharest before and it’s possible only from Sofia’s station, so i’m a bit stressed if we find easily tickets from Sofia to Bucharest without booking because we are going to travel on saturday….so i would have some advices… we start from Greece. Thank you

How can I make seat reservations from France to Spain? I called the number they list and they say you have to do it at the train station, but online the route says reservations required and you must book more than 24 hours in advance. How can this be booked to ensure I get seats and does anyone have advice for trying to get trains in July? 

I’m looking for a night train sleeper for 3 from Vienna to Bucharest. Which train should I use? Do I need a global pass for this type of trip?

In the Eurail site it shows seats can be reserved but when I go through the process it gives and error. It seems to switch me from electronic tickets to paper tickets and I live in the USA and cannot receive paper tickets in time. This is a non-stop train on TrenItalia but when I go to the TrenItalia site it doesn’t offer Zurich as a departure station so couldn’t resolve the issue there either. All advice gratefully received.

Hi - we are a family of 4 backpacking from London to Istanbul in August 2023.We want to book a 6 berth couchette exclusively for us from Budapest to Sighisoara in Romania. The Inter-rail booking system will only let us book 4 tickets in a 6 berth (there are no 4 berth couchettes showing as available otherwise I would book that). The Romanian train website shows availability for a 6 berth but says you can only book a max of 5 tickets. We don’t mind paying for the additional 2 places to guarantee having it to ourselves. I can’t see how to use our inter-rail pass if I book direct either.Can anyone help us navigate this? How can we use our interrail pass to book a couchette exclusively for this journey?Thank you!

Hi!I am trying to book the Nightjet to Zagreb (from Germany, any city will do..) but all the options I had for possible dates on ÖBB are not available? (yes I do know ho to book..)Is there a connection problem or is everything booked? I saw one option a few days ago (via the interrail site) and it offered a booking with a paper ticket? Is it possible to book this paper ticket directly (guess paper is not öbb?) We are travelling from the Netherlands, is there another (logical) option than Germany?

My young adult children have the eurail pass. If I go to the app on my phone, add their passes and save their trips, is there a way for them to see the reservations? Or could I share screenshots of the qr codes?  They have all of their seat assignments.  There is one train from Strasbourg to Lucerne that does not require a seat reservation, but I know I need to somehow get a ticket for it. I am not traveling with them.  Just helping them out.  Once I add their tickets to my app, will they be able to add them to their app? Or is there a link I can share for them to get the QR code?

Riga is not appearing in my planner

We are travelling from Prague to Paris tomorrow.We arrive on RE 3367 to Teltow at 11:53.  We catch the RE 29655 out of Bingen (Rhein) Hbf at 12:43. My ticket tells me to use public transit to get between stations , but when I enter Teltow and Bingen (Rhine) into Google earth it tells me public transport will take like 7 hours.  What am I missing? Thanks I. Hello everybody, I would like to book Zurich-Rome (5th of June). I see many options (I would like to do only 1 change in Milan) but I can’t book it through DB-Bahn or OBB or Trenitalia. I just don’t have the options available on these companies.This means that my only options to book it is the Eurorail website? Until now I traveled almost everywhere in Europe and I never done with Eurorail reservations system, avoiding fee and higher prices for each reservation(for example, in Spain it was displayed 25 euros for first class, at the Renfe office just 13 euros).Regards,Marco

Pass acheté pour 4 jours sur un mois direction suède...Je constate que tous les trajets affichés sur le site internet ne sont pas affichés sur Rail planner.Par exemple il existe sur un trajet Lorient Stockholm, deux trajets possibles avec départ à 05:52 le 17/08, mais il n’apparaissent pas sur rail planner.Est-ce normal?Merci d’avance 

Is it possible to make a reservation for a reservations not required train? I am traveling in July and since I know this is busy I am wondering if I can reserve in some way so I can guarantee a seat. I have to travel on a specific date and there is only one train option so I want to ensure I am able to get a seat.

According to this web page (https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/before-you-leave/airport-train-station-connections), some connections from airport to city center and vice versa are included in the interrail global pass. Does using these connections count as a travel day? We are flying from our homecountry to our first destination, and staying there for a few days before starting our interrail. Do we have to pay for train from airport to city center, if we don't want to "waste" our travel day in that?  ​​​Also, we are flying back home from London, but we are going to stay there for a few days before our flight. Can we use our rail pass there to connect from city center to Heathrow, even tho we have already used our travel days (but we still have time left in our pass)?

Hi allI’ve just booked the following journey. I selected compartment with 4 beds and assumed this would be a 4-berth couchette. But when I got the tickets, it shows seats 21-24. My understanding is that the numbering for a 4-berth would be 21/22/25/26…Any thoughts? Anyone have an up to date nightjet seating plan?Thanks

Hello ! Je vais voyager en Europe cet été et j’essaye de planifier en avance mon voyage. Je ne comprend pas bien comment fonctionne le Pass avec les trains sans réservation obligatoire. Puis-je prendre ces trains sans billets, sans aucune démarche avant de monter dans le train ? Est-il possible qu’il n’y ait plus de places dans ces trains et que je ne puisse pas les prendre si je n’ai pas réservé ? Une fois dans le train qu’est ce qui fait office de billets ?Merci beaucoup ;)

While making a seat reservation Should I print the paper pass in the same color or black and white is sufficient?

I need some help. I have a first class pass for July and August. I am travelling to several countries and when I look at booking seat reservations, a lot are green and state ready to book - no seat reservation required. For the longer trips I would like to reserve a seat to be on the safe side even though it states it isn’t necessary. I have just discovered one train has said prices unavailable - pass holder reservations may be sold out. Does this mean even though we don’t need to book a seat and we are ready to board that there may be no seat available at all? I have been regularly checking so I can book at the earliest time possible. I don’t feel comfortable just winging it.
