Train connections & reservations

Dear helper, The 11th of July we want to catch the 7.34 train from Haparanda to Narvik. But this one can book only to half May! There is no reservation to make on the planner. Does anyone know about this connection? Is it fully booked soon if free? We'll leave from the Netherlands at 30 June and all the other reservations for Sweden and Norway and Germany are booked. What is with this one? (Fortunately in Finland one can travel without reservations)Have fun with travelling!Froukje 

What are the train and bus apps/services that I can check to see if my interrail trains match? These are the routes I’d like to do:Arlanda airport/Arlanda central station to Soderhamn.  Soderhamn - Uppsala - Soderhamn Soderhamn - Gothenburg - Soderhamn Soderhamn - Copenhagen - SoderhamnI’ve had a look online and Google maps but want a rough idea of pieces (preferably the cheapest option) 

Hi there, I’m finding it difficult to get a refund on reservations made for a train that was cancelled. The DB site links don’t work ( it was booked via DB). Can anyone help please? Many thanks

HiFor TGV 9213 Paris to Mulhouse from Gare De Lyon, how early should I arrive at the station for boarding/checking in pls?Just noticed ticket conditions include printed ticket although I have an e-ticket and luggages must be labelled. How strict are they on enforcing them? Don’t have neither.I’ve 2 transfers from Mulhouse to Zermatt with short transfers in between (8min and 10min), is it gonna be easy to identify and find the next platform at each station?thx 

When I attempt to make reservations on TGV train from Paris to Milan I get all the way to the purchase then the app says “One of the legs of your journey could not be bookedFeedbackOne of the legs of your journey is not available anymore. Please try searching for another connection”I have tried different trains at different times and still get the same error message. It’s becoming very frustrating as it’s still just under 90 days before the trip and not all the seats could possibly be sold out. Can anyone help? I’m in Australia so not easy to contact service providers in France.

I found earlier option 30/5 today 11:54 for Paris Lyon to Zermatt with only 2 changes (instead of current 3) on b-Europe site but don’t have option to enter eurail pass for booking. I should be able to cancel existing booking Paris-Mulhouse n get a full refund if cancel before departure, correct? 

I bought all the seat that are required in my trip, I would ask if Do I need to buy also the seat reservation that are recommended?

Is it possible to get off at a stop that is not the destination?ex: I bought an “reservation required ticket” for Padova -  Munich.If I wanted to get off in Salisbury to spend a few hours there and then take a train to Munich, which does not require mandatory reservations, could I do it? Obviously all in the same day, we are talking about 4/5h.

I have just reserved an overnight train that requires paper tickets. I leave for Europe BEFORE my paper tickets are supposed to arrive at my address in Canada. What should I do in order to get those tickets before the scheduled train ride?

I have a 7 day Eurail pass that I intend to use next month. I made reservations with Trenitalia for a trip from Milan to Venice. My plans have changed and I now want to travel 8 days by train. It would cost me less to pay for a ticket instead of using my Eurail pass between Milan and Venice, and use my pass on a more expensive trip. Can I keep my reservation and buy a ticket, or do I have to use the pass? The reservation says I’m using my pass.

HiMyself and one other are trying to book a train on 26th June from Lake Bled to Split. The train we were looking at is 7.31 bled to Zagreb, and then 15.19 Zagreb to Split. We are having trouble getting seat reservations and very unclear as to why whether it is sold out or not we are not sure.If a train requires seat reservations can I still board without a seat and sit on ground/stand?Any help would be greatly appreciated

On 1st July, I will be travelling from Zurich to Amsterdam! I have already made my sleeper reservations on NJ402 thru OBB, which shows it's a direct train. Later, I went to Eurail to book the train, however, there comes the confusion. In Eurail, the train with number NJ402 shows that I need to transfer to another train in Utrecht (IC 3022). If I select this, the train journey will be counted as 2 days, instead of one.  There is another option for a direct train, which weirdly departs on the same time. The number of that train is IC 60402.  Now, I am very confused which option should I select. Is IC 60402 and NJ402 the same train? I don't want to waste 2 days on a single train journey, where in reality, it is supposed to be a direct train. Help will be much appreciated 👍

I’ve been trying to book a seat from Paris to Antibes for the past couple of days, but every time I try to get to the “review payment” page, this error message keeps popping up for multiple days/times - one of the legs of your journey is not available anymore. Please try searching for another connection. Does this mean that all railpass seats are sold out? 

Hi everybody!I try to find the answer on the communiste but i do not find it.I bought an interrail pass but i was not aware about the difficulties with bikes!!! :)I finally find how to book tgv in France with bikes (call sncf many times to find someone Who know the way or go to the train station) and i am now in germany. It looks easier but i have à doubt.So i try to book train from mannheim to munchen the 18th of july with 4 bikes.the options bike and interrail are available on DB.com :)At the final, it proposés to me tickets at 18€ for 4 tickets. It looks that it is the seat booking fées without bikes and the website does not speak about bikes at all.Do you think that the bikes are included or not ?Must I call DB to book for the bikes ?I hope you understand my doubts! I have booked seats on EC175 from Berlin to Prague in July. We are a family of 4. It appears the seats automatically assigned 4 window seats Pl 81 82 85 86,   Any ideas how to change this the contact form on the DB website errors out when I try to complete it

Hi! I’m travelling solo this summer throughout Europe, and this is my first time using eurail!  I bought a 22 days pass so I’m hoping to travel by train as much as possible (in terms of travelling between cities/ countries) and not resort to other transport such as plane/ bus etc..  I need to go from Copenhagen to Amsterdam (or Utrecht) on 27 July, which requires me to first take a train to Hamburg  I saw on the DB website (https://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?ld=43108&protocol=https:&seqnr=1&ident=2s.08833108.1685120803&rt=1&OK#hfsseq2|2s.08833108.1685120803) that I can go by a direct night train EN345 which operates on 27 July 2023 and is operated by SJ and reservation is compulsory I then went to SJ’s website (https://www.sj.se/en/kop-resa/valj-resa/K%C3%B6benhavn%20H/Hamburg%20Hbf/2023-07-27) to make a reservation but couldn’t find EN345 here nor any trains by SJ from Copenhagen to Hamberg that allows me to reserve any trains   Now I have these questio

I have Global Pass for 4 days in a month.I have bought almost all required seats to travel from Kutno, Poland to Paris Nord on 21-22 of June 2023. Also I have almost all needed seats to travel from Paris Nord to Kutno on 26 of June 2023.I had some difficulties finding thalys from Koeln to Paris, so I booked other tickets from Bruxells to Paris via Berlin. When buying then I didn’t book seats from Kutno to Berlin Ostbahnhof, as I wasn’t sure if everything will finish ok wit buying Thalys. Now I Can’t book the cheapest seats, seats for EIC 40 train from Kutno to Berlin Ostbahnhof on 21 of June 2023 and EC 249 from Berlinh Hbf to Kutno on 26 of June 2023 which were only available to deliver by post. What should I do next?

Hi! I’m trying to check my route from Trieste to Zagreb in early September on the Interrail website to see if I need to make any reservations. At the moment the system is only showing one route (14h via Udine and Villach).I checked on the Deutsche Bahn website for the same day (7th Sept) and they’re showing a much simpler route taking the train via Ljubljana.Is this included in the Interrail pass, and if so, do you need a seat reservation?(also any reason why this isn’t showing up on interrail itself?)Thanks!

I am an individual who won a pass and I had a group of 5 friends who have also won a group pass. Because I didn´t want to go on my own, I have decided to go with them, having already paid for all of our Airbnbs. My question is if I will have to face any constraints regarding seat reservations ( having to be in a different place than their group or having to pay more) or regarding trips ( a trip that they are in is fully booked and I will have ot take another train all by myself). Apart from that, I would be tremendously thankful if you could give me any information regarding an individual person joining another group! 

Hello!So…what should I start with? Long story short…I want to buy seat reservations for Warsaw Centralna-Berlin Hbf on 22nd of June at around 12 o’clock. Last week I ve noticed several changes. The train EC44(EIC44) leaves now from Warsaw Gdanska and goes only to Berlin Lichtenberg…because of construction work on both sides…departure at 12:15 and takes longer. But thats not the problem. Problem is that seat reservation is still not possible. Moreover, the train shows now only on interrail mobile app and on intercity.pl. This connection doesn’t apparently exist anymore on interrail website or on db(bahn.com). I talked with both sides, the oddness is in the air. Soo if at first I wanted and couldn’t buy seat reservation, now I m not sure even if I am able to board it :)))so is anyone so kind to help us telling whats going on with this connection and how can we buy seat reservation? It s a 6h trip so standing isn’t an option. Thank you for any help :)

So I know the basics, inbound-outbound, travel days, the difference between trip and journey etc. I was using a flexi paper pass back then.Now I am planning to do another trip and I have few questions about the mobile pass.My understanding is that once I activate it (and I need to do this in order to book the reservations) - my trip gets fixed and I cannot change it, i.e. I am going from place A to B on the days X, Y, Z and I cannot change it either to be from place A to C or on days, X, Y, Q.But does it really work like that? I remember when I used paper pass each day I could decide that I want to travel that day and get on that or another train. I had a lot of flexibility.I would like to give an example below:Let’s say I need 4 travel days: 13, 14, 18 and 30th I need to book a reservation for a train on 13th. If I understood correctly, in order to do that I need to submit a trip in the app and activate my pass. From that moment my trip  is

I have tried numerous times and do not see seats available for the Thalys High Speed Trains. I am new to this reservation process. It appears all seats would be taken on any High Speed train option from Brussels to Paris. Is that correct? I’m Starting this late to get seat reservations for Late May or early June. Is that correct I’m too late for such a seat reservation? I just want to know so I can plan an alternate route that will take longer and we need to plan adequate time
