Hello! I have booked a seat reservation for the Caledonian sleeper, however, when I try to find the train on the app to add to my pass I cannot find it.I added the journey manually, which has given me a QR code. Is this enough? I have printed out my seat reservation but I need to know if this manually added journey will be sufficient to get me onto the train. Thanks!
Hello,It is not possible to buy sleepers (double) online - or any other way from abroad - for the night train Budapest Zurich for interrail travelers. I faced this problem for several trip attempts...Practically : the option “Sleepers” is not available online on any website (nor at railway station in Zurich, or elsewhere).I called directly MAV : they confirmed that spaces were available. Full Tickets could be bought but NOT only the sleepers reservation for interrail travelers from abroad. They said there was just no option but to buy these reservations from a railway station within Hungary. Quite a heavy restriction !Is it some kind of discrimination ?Thank youJJM
Hi there, I understand that it’s not possible to book reservations for Spanish domestic routes online, but I’m hoping to clarify a question about alternatives. When I click on “other ways to book this seat reservation” in Eurail, one option is “Book in person at a main station in Europe.” For those who are more knowledgeable...is this really an option? If so, what counts as a “main station in Europe”?For reference, we will be in London (and other UK cities) and Paris before arriving in Barcelona. We need to book seats for a Barcelona to Madrid train in late July, and we will be in Barcelona for a week before going to Madrid. Should I be trekking to main stations in Europe along the way to try to reserve seats, or do I just have to wait until I get to Barcelona to make a reservation? If I do wait, are we (party of 3) likely to be able to get reservations with only a week lead time? Thank you!
Hi,I am planning on taking the Bernina express this summer with my interail pass. In the travel planner app it is mentioned that for this trip you have to book a supplement. I would like to book a ticket for the panorama seats, but when I look at what supplement to book, it sounds to me that you can only book such a supplement for the panorama seats if you have a 1st class interail ticket, is this correct, or is it also possible to book these seats with a second class interail ticket? If so, how does it then work?
Hello,I’m asking myself where to sit in non mandatory reservation trains. I have no seat number attributed because the reservation is not mandatory, but it seems like other passengers have sit reservations so I’m wondering where to sit so I don’t take there seats. in my case, I’m travelling through Czeck Republic, Germany, Danemark, Sweden and Norway.thank you !
Hi, My name is Haeun kim. I made a reservation for Eurostar from England to France on Saturday, June 17 by Eurail Pass. The reservation number is R2023286255. Due to the schedule change, the fee was charged through the Eurostar app and the date was changed to Friday, June 16. According to the Eurail reservation, it is 6/17, but I wonder if there may be a problem with taking Eurostar on 6/16. If possible, can I get a voucher by email for the reservation made on June 16th? Thank you. 답장전달
Hi I will be travelling to France from UK next week with the interrail pass and going on a number of trains that have mandatory seat reservations (Eurostar, TGV). I made all the seat reservations that are needed separately via other providers. I now have completely separate pdf tickets for the seat reservations. I just want to check that when I board the train I will therefore need to show my interrail ticket (with the relevant journeys added) that I will generate on the interrail app before I board the train AND the seat reservation which will be a separate document. My understanding is that the seat reservations, as booked directly with other providers, will not show up in the interrail app- they are completely separate? Is that right? Can the seat reservation be a printed out paper document? Thank you for your help.
Necesito ayuda. Gracias
Hi!For overnight travel and there is a train change, can we stay inside the train station while waiting for the next train? I have attached a sample of the route for Paris to St. Moritz and there will be a change train at Landquart for 5h6m. Thank you!
Hi!I would love some feedback. I am considering buying a interrail ticket for the more expensive parts of my trip as especially the ones in the beginning have had a premium price on the traintickets. I believe all tickets can be booked on the interrail site, but the reservations is done here and there? Is it possible to check if there is any interrail tickets left without buying the pass?I think I need to book the Barcelona - Nimes seat reservation as soon as possible if its not already sold out right? When it comes to bookings in france on the site SNCF, how do I know if I buy only the seat reservation and not the tickets also but only the seat? I’m considering getting the 1st class ticket as there might be more potential spots on the trains? My itenary is as follows :Spain flying to Barcelona (start)Francetrain to Nimes, train to Nice,Italytrain to Milan, train to Venice,Sloveniatrain to Ljubljana,Croatiatrain to Zagreb, bus to Split - (looks that buses are the best option here? 6h train
Is it worth getting a 7-day pass for these days or should I rather buy a 4-day pass and buy the tickets on site?
I'm trying to book seat reservations for 3people from Paris to Luzern, Switzerland at 14:00 on 4 June. I get to the last stage of checkout and get a red error message saying 'one of the legs of your journey could not be booked. This is the only journey in my cart. I've tried many times with different time of the day and just keep getting the same error. Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi, I need to get to SOFIA from France, Italy or Switzerland this autumn. What is the present situation please?Despite my 86 years of age I am willing to go by the long route if necessary. I travel Interrail to avoid flying and have not done so for the past five years.I saw the destruction of the train lines at the historic Belgrade main station a couple of years ago and I was and am shocked.
I'm traveling tomorrow Morning from interlaken Ost to como S giovanni throw zurich then lugano noseat reservation required but I'm afraid that the trains pr one of them might be fully booked how can I check that I can find a seat Thanks
We are planning our first interrail trip trough Europe for this summer and have already booked some trains, but then stumbled upon a problem. We want to travel from Florence to Zagreb on the 12th and 13th of August (2023) and the railplanner app gives us a suitable journey where we take two Euro-night trains: one from Bologna to Villach hbf and one from Villach to our destination Zagreb, but it doesn't seem possible to make seat reservation for those trains. Are we to late? We have also tried different websites, but it does not seem to work or take seat reservations. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this, any other train connection from Florence to Zagreb or do we have to alter our journey?
I try to find a train to Liège from Split on July 15, wha can help?
I noticed that some Eurocity between Italy and Switzerland are not visible in the Interrail planner app (for instance, EC 50 and EC 54 MIlano-Basel). The other three connections of the day are visible. One can still reserve the seats (e.g. from the Interrail reservation system, but the interrail ticket cannot be activated) . Interestingly, if one looks at the national legs of those trains (Milano-Domodossola and Brig-Basel) they become visible, but the international ones are not.Have others had similar experiences? Can one just add the trip manually, or will the controller object, because those trains are not supposed to be used by Interrailers (even if the seats are reserved) ?It seems that Zurich trains are all visible, but Geneva and Basel ones are limited.
I am traveling from Utrecht to Basel this summer and it says that I'm ready to board since seat reservation is not required. However, I cannot book any seat since they are sold out. Can I still enter the train?
Can we use the Eurail Global Pass to get only tickets reservations in the Goldenpass Express? I’ll be taking this route june 13, and the site gives two options for reductions: own ticket or only reservation, and i don’t know which one includes the eurail global pass.
You must purchase passes before you are able to reserve seats. When we purchased passes, we were shown many options for train times from London to Paris on 5/30. Now that we have activated our passes to make seat reservations, there are ZERO available trains or seats from London to Paris on 5/30 or the surrounding days. Very frustrated we couldn’t see that those trains were not available prior to purchasing. Does anyone know how to locate available trains from London to Paris? Thanks so much~
Hi there,After searching these forums for quite some time, I did find questions related to mine, but I still do not know what to do.I will be travelling in and out of my country (The Netherlands) twice in the two months that I will use my Interraill pass. The Interrail out- and inbound journeys are clear, but this is about the second out- and inbound journey. My wife, two kids and me will take the ICE from Utrecht towards Mönchengladbach (and change there). My kids travel for free in the Netherlands with their OV Chipkaart and my wife and I have no discount whatsoever. What ticket do we buy in the Netherlands and how to we make the registration in the app? Do I buy tickets from Utrecht to Venlo? To Kaldenkirchen (where it will not stop)? To Mönchengladbach? It seems logical that the answer to that question will dictate what part I register in the app for interrail travel, but is that really true? And how do we do the same for our return journey? We will be on a Dusseldorf - Venlo train th
Hi everyone. My name is Deb and I’m very new to train travel. My husband Steve and I both in our late 50s are travelling from our home in Australia to a wedding in UK in the June and are planning to tour Europe after that . We have purchased Global 2 month passes. I am starting to get the hang of everything and got us as far as Berlin with reservations etc ! I am trying to book from Berlin to Krakow and have read previous posts regarding not being able to reserve seats with DB. My question regards the EC57 train on 23/6/2023 at 1052. Is it likely to get fully booked if I can’t reserve seats until we are in Europe and if it is what the best alternative way of doing the trip on that date. Would really appreciate advice… ( took a lot of persuasion to get my husband to travel this way so I want it to go as smoothly as possible haha)
It looks like Trenitalia have increased the price of Frecce reservations from €10 to €13. ÖBB now mention €13 for most Frecce, although some (still?) appear for €10.Italiarail still show €10, but if you then you continue to book, it will change to €13. Seat61 has also changed the price to €13 on most of the pages, so I guess it has really changed.Intercity reservations in Italy seem to remain at €3.EC reservations from/to Switzerland seem to remain at €11/€13.
I’m organising the trip that I’ll do in the mid in July with the interrail pass. I didn’t understand well how the booking works. Can I book all the tickets (also the one with reservation seats) in the interrail app? Or is it not a reliable? Because I’ve read some comments that said that it is better to make the reservation with other apps.
