Train connections & reservations

I want to travel from Amsterdam Schiphol to Marseille via the TGV. I want to buy the global pass. Are all fees included or do I still need to pay extra?! I cant seem to find it.

fyi, I’ve contacted both eurail/interrail, and SNCB (b-europe.com) already. Eurail said it’s not their issue to deal with, as it was booked through b-europe, and I’m waiting for a response from b-europe.The issue:I booked a seat reservation on the eurostar, throug b-europe.com. The transaction went through, it appears on my card statement, yet I haven’t received the reservation. I’ve contacted customer service to try and track it down. It's been 7 days since the purchase.My main concern is that the other reservations are sold out for that day already. It’s the last day of my pass, and this was my train back home, so I’m not able to travel a different day instead. Hopefully b-europe can track down the issue. My question is, what are my options if they don’t?I already have travel insurance, and the purchase was on a credit card, so I can pursue this through my bank as well. However, currently I’m going to be kind of stranded with no way to get back. If I had to book a full-price eurostar

I am wanting to go from Split, Croatia to Vienna, Austria in August. But when booking, only a paper pass is available but it will not get here on time. What can I do? I am needing a mobile pass / pass sent to email.

Hi everyone, I tried booking seat reservations for the tgv from Paris to Strasbourg on the day the  tickets were released but the train I wanted was sold out straight away!. I called scnf and the lady said I can buy first class reservations, which I did as I was worried we'd get stuck otherwise. But now I'm worried we will have problems on the train as our passes are second class. She said this is no problem as the reservation is an upgrade but it would put my mind at ease if anyone could confirm this is okay?

Hey! I am messaging you because I have a question regarding he FlexPass.I want to go to Italy this summer and I found 2 very good suggested traveling plans on the app with just one transfering. But the first one departures at 5pm from Hungary and 7 days after the other train departures at 10pm from Italy. Is it still possible to use the Pass at that time?Looking forward to hear from you :)Andi

I have been wanting to book the high speed Florence - Milan train in August but they do not seem to be running after the 6th. Does anyone know if there planned engineering works affecting this line? I have tried to find out but thought I would ask on here as I’ve not had much luck.

I purchased a senior 1st class global pass. When I planned my trip from Zurich Airport to Grindelwald, the trip from Zurich Airport to Interlaken Ost is covered, but the train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald is not included in the pass, which I can still add it to my trip. Can I pay and buy the ticket from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald at the Frankfurt Flughafen station or should I buy it only after arriving at Interlaken Ost? 

Hi My partner and I have bought rail passes through Eurail ; and are using it for our trip through Spain All of our trips are on fast trains and need to apparently book seat reservations ASAP ; however we live in Australia and cannot get to a Spanish train station to make the seat reservations How do we going about reserving seats for the trips ? We have the eurail planner app and we have both marked our trips out and and attached to our eurail passes on the app , but I assume that doesn’t mean that we have a guaranteed spot on the train Any help would be greatly appreciated Thankyou very much

Hello all! I want to go to Budapest for my start of the trip from Edirne but it is shown that I cannot book to Dimitrovgrad (which is the first stop). Does not have the "More Information" option as well, what can I do? Currently out of city so I cannot go and ask.

Hello everyone, I have some issues on planning my journey. I’d like to have this route: Bucharest(Romania), Tallin(Estonia), Helsinki(Finland), Hamburg(Germany), Prague(Czechia), Belgrade(Serbia) and Suceava(Romania). Unfortunatelly, I don’t know how to properly use the mobile app (since I’m trying Interrail for the first time) and I’d want some help with my request; I can’t find any train or ferry routes available in the Interrail Network. I’m planning to buy the “7 days in one month (Flexi)” pass. Thanks in advance!

On the Rail Planner (Eurail app) I have a Global pass and I’m using 1 trip from London To Paris. I have booked it in the app and I have a QR code for my ticket.   When and where do I reserve seats so my family can sit together? Do I need to go to the station to book? How far out do I need to reserve? Thank you for your help!!! 

I have a ferry pass for the Greek Islands, I want to book my first trip for July but no trip exists on the application. I leave from Piraeus port in Athens and I return any port and no result. How to do ?

Hi We’re exploring options for our trip and are slightly confused as trip options which come up under ‘Rail Europe’ don’t appear as options under the interrail - one of the journeys is TGV but the others aren’t. Has anyone else experienced this and if so can you advise on why and how this happens? Another thing is that we’d reserved seats with Deutsche Bahn for a journey which now no longer exists and they never let us know - so now it looks as if we’ll arrive at 11pm rather than 9pm (with a 9 year old in tow so not best pleased).Happy to provide more details but any general advice to start with would be gratefully received. Thanks 

Is anyone else having problems with the German Bahn website. Every time I try to log in it says “503 Service Unavailable.” Is it just me??

The RailPlanner app (v 30.7.0 on Android) shows contradictory information about seat reserverations in InterCity (IC) trains in France:when searching they are shown as requiring seat reseverations and   https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/reservations/reservations-france says InterCity trains require seat reservertions and on the train itself it is written that reservations are mandatory   But:there were apparently passengers in the IC without any reservation the RailPlanner app shows reservations as optional for ICs in the country information screen (The ¹ there just says “Reservations are mandatory for trains in Normandy.”, which does not apply.) The connection is the IC 4659 from Toulouse to Narbonne.

Habe allerdings ein Problem, Sitzplätze für folgende Züge zu reservieren:EC104 Wien Hbf. ab 14.10 - Katovice an 18.46 Uhr am 18.06.23IC 116 Katovice ab 08.13 - Praha Hl. n. an 13.45 Uhr am 21.06.23 Beide Züge konnte ich weder über das Interrail-Tool, noch die Websites der ÖBB und CD buchen. Auch ein Besuch in einem Reisezentrum der SBB vor etwa 2 Wochen brachte mich nicht wirklich weiter. Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass der Verkauf von Sitzplatzreservationen nach Polen für diesen Zeitraum gesperrt sei.Durch Herumprobieren habe ich bemerkt, dass ich die Züge innerhalb von Österreich und Tschechien ohne Probleme reservieren könnte, nur nach Polen sind die Reservationen für jedes Reisedatum ab dem 11. Juni nicht verfügbar.Weiss jemand, wo genau da das Problem liegt (finden zu jener Zeit irgendwelche Streckensperrungen auf dem polnischen Abschnitt statt)? Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, irgendwie mit

We have our passes and we are trying to book seats from Paris to Lucerne.  We can book seats from Paris to Basel but there is not an option to purchase seats from Basel to Lucerne.  I know we change trains in Basel but how do we purchase seats on the Basel to Lucerne segment?  Appreciate your help.

How can I change my seat on a train reservation? Because me and my girlfriend have booked some tickets but now we are scattered around the train in all the trips.

Hello, is there any chance that there are train connections available between Skopje (Macedonia) and Sofia (Bulgaria) or Istanbul (Turkey)?On the website, these connections are shown but not in the Rail Planner App.I want to go in August and don’t think that I’m too early because there are already train connections shown from Sofia to Istanbul. Hello everyone, I am currently looking to book different train rides for my trip, and was able to make reservations for many of them. However, certain rides were “Included” in the Eurail pass. I am wondering how I can retrieve a ticket for these “Included” rides as I do not want to end up without a train to go to my next destination. Moreover, I read on the website that the pass offered discounts on different ferries and activities. Since I do not want to miss out on these discounts, I was wondering how it would be possible to book ferries right now and benefit from the discount. Thank you for taking the time to answer me. Hugo Pepin

HiI am trying to book a night train on 15th July for 2 adults and 3 children. I can’t manage it for the five of us but can get a reservation for us if I split the group into 2,2, and 1. However I assume this means we are all in separate compartments - is there a way to tell? Or does anyone have a number for OBB that works from the UK. Or are there any other ways to book this train. Thanks in advance

I want to ask when is the suggested time for us to arrive before the train departs?Also, do I need to conduct some administration procedures before boarding the train in the first traveling day of my pass? If yes, how long does it take?

Hi to all,We’re trying to make seat reservations for the 12:40 train from Glasgow Central to London Euston on july 20th (VT 6680). For some reason it is not possible to make seat reservations at all in that week. A week earlier (f.e. 13th of july) it is possible, A week later (f.e. 27th of july) it is also possible. Anybody know why it is not possible to make seat reservations in that week? Ofcourse we can travel via Edinburgh to London but that’s not the route we would like to travel.Any help is appriciated.  

I made reservations (for two people) a couple months ago. Now the train times have changed. There is no train at the original time.Amsterdam to Cologne: was ICE #127 dep 14:38, arr 17:16Now it’s ICE #157, dep 14:08, arr 17:21.Virtually the same train, but different train number, and I don’t know that the reservation will carry over automatically. I don’t want to get to the train and not have our reserved seats.I can’t figure out how to change the reservation online through Eurail.com.I have submitted a support request, and I hope to hear something from Eurail.What does anyone else know about this topic?
