Train connections & reservations

Hi! I want to book a train from Budapest to Cluj Napoca (on May, the 30th) but it says that you can only get the ticket by paper. Does that mean that I will receive the ticket at my adress? The problem is that I will be already traveling.  Is it possible to buy a ticket right a the train station in Budapest or would it be too late ? How should I do? How do you do to book train ticket that need to be send in paper or printed if you are already traveling ? I mean, it’s the case for almost each night train.  ‘’Thank you for your answers :) 

Hi - I have a seat res Lyon to Nimes. My plans have changed and will now be going to Narbonne. The train I have seat res on actually ends in Narbonne. Will I need to to cancel my original seat res and make a new one to reflect Lyon to Narbonne? Or just stay on the train? Newbie here :)

Hi My friend and I are travling together to Paris from Copenhagen and then one more stop together but then we split, but we would like to make the set reservation for the first half of the trip together, how is this possible? How can we add each other to the seat reseavtion for the first part of the trip but not the whole trip? Thanks -Amanda

Hi all,Planning a trip from Finland to Italy and back next summer as a family of two adults and two teenagers with 7 days in a month Interrail global passes (mobile) and having trouble with a couple of things. All comments, suggestions and help would be very appreciated.1) Getting from Stockholm to Hamburg on June 17th. We should arrive at Stockholm Viking Line terminal at 6.30 am and need to get to Hamburg for the next night. SJ is apparently having trouble getting the timetables confirmed because of track works so we don't know if we can assume the trains will be running or not?2) Getting from Zurich to Como on June 19th. We should arrive at Zurich at 10.05 am with Obb nightjet from Hamburg (we have sleepers booked already). What would be the options to get to Como? 3) Getting from Como to Innsbruck on June 26th, best connections and/or the most scenic routes? 4) We have a couchette booked for the Obb nightjet from Innsbruck to Hamburg on June 27h at 20.12 pm, but we were informed th

I have activated my pass and can’t find a way to deactivate it should that be needed. I have added 6 train routes to my trip and clicked the toggles to yellow which I assume links to the pass  . My first journey is tomorrow so panicking a bit! Clicking on view ticket says no trips connected to pass 😩  can anyone help me please. I activated pass 9 April as my 11 months was up 10 April , regards John 

Hi, I am new to Eurail and having a problem with booking some trains through France. We are a group of 6 travelling from Barcelona to Avignon, Avignon to Nice and Nice to Lyon in mid-June. All of the trains we want are ‘seat reservation required’. We are able to add the trains to our cart, but then we get the ‘one of the legs of your journey cannot be booked’ error message each time. I have tried booking for less passengers because I read there may be a 5 person limit for booking, but the same error message still comes up. Can someone please explain why this may be happening and how we can get the booking to work?Thank you in advance!! 

We would like to take a ferry from Savona to Barcelona. Can we find the time table and cabin prices (the ferry takes 17 hours) in the rail planner? 

Hey Community, does somebody know why Interrail isn’t providing a booking platform for train journey in europe? They already have their business partners, so why make it so complicated? I mean there is “thetrainline.com” but even there you actually don’t book your tickets together, when you travel internationally. You always buy seperate tickets together, which has plenty of disadvantages.

Good night!  22/06 I’ll take Bernina Express from Chur to Tirano and arribes at 12:49.  The same day I hacve to arribe to Venice, and I have a FrecciaRossa from Milan to Mestre at 18:45.  Problem is that there will be some railworks and Trenord told me that timetables not will be ok till 11/06.Wich will be the best way to arribe from Tirano to Milano between 13 and 18:30 hours on 22/06? There will be buses from Tirano to Milano or to another station where I can take another train to Milano? This buses will be at Tirano’s station and  how to reserve a place at them or buy tickets thankyou so much to all

Bought my first ever Interrail Pass (Global Pass) today. First trip will be The Hague to Labenne in France. The planner gives a trip with a 5 minute connection time on Rotterdam Centraal (stoptrein to Thalys). So isn't it better to take an earlier train from The Hague to Rotterdam? And can I use that earlier train as an outbound trip?

I have a Eurail Pass (30 day travel) and I am trying to book from Copenhagen to Berlin hbf on an overnight.I am going to the DSB reservation site and I put in all the relative data in (passengers, age, etc...) but I can not find how to put in the fact I have a Eurail Pass into this booking!Question... Can you advise me on how to use my Eurorail Pass for a trip from Paris to Bern.Do we need to make a reservation?  Can we make the reservation the day before? What would be the best route?   Thank you

I’m planning on using an Interrail Pass to go from Frankfurt to Béziers this August. My question is, how high my chances are for getting a seat reservation for all of the members of my group, we’re 10 people (!). We’re planning on first going Frankfurt → Paris then Paris → Béziers.Interrail only allows us to book tickets 90 days in advance, I am scared that this may be too late given the busyness of trains to France in August. Hello everyone, we’re looking to book a train on the 21st of April from Ljubljana to Zagreb. On the rail planner app there is a direct train available at 8:30am although I don’t know where to book a seat reservation. I’ve looked on the seat reservation section of the community page and then tried to book through the OBB app but the only train showing up on the OBB app for 8:30 isn’t direct. Can anyone give me any guidance on where to book seat reservations as on the app it says it’s required or is a seat reservation even needed?!  thank you guys for your help!

Hello!Apparently there is a supplement required when travelling from Munich to Verona (or between Germany and Italy in general). On this site there is info that says the supplement is included if I book seat reservations through the Eurail self-reservation tool which I did and the price was 10€pp which apparently is exactly the supplement amount. However, there was supposed to be a  text “supplement included” printed on the ticket. There is no such text. However it says “ticket + reservation” on the top. So is the supplement now paid or not, does anyone know? Thanks!-Anna

Hello, I have reserved the seats for NJ 402 train from Zurich to Amsterdam but unfortunately that train does not exist in the rail planner app. I can’t add manual journeys since it disappears immediately after I close the app. I can see one journey IC 60402 which is the same train with seating instead of sleeper. Can I add that train and show the barcode to ticket checker and travel in sleeper coach since I reserved that one?please advise if you have any experience since I am traveling soon.

Hi all,I’d like to take the night train from London Paddington to Cornwall Penzance. Unfortunately, I can not find the cabins ticket on interrail or acprail website. Few days ago, I saw this cabins option on interrail, but now it’s gone. Therefore, where can I buy the cabins ticket, not only seat ticket? Thanks

Travelling from Milan to Nice, Paris.  What is the cheapest and shortest train route. The Eurorail requires to buy a global pass. But I will most likely take this train trip only once. What is my best option.  Also please provide the website link with your recommendation. Thank you so much

Hi everyone,I'm doing my first Interrail trip through Scandinavia this summer. I've already made a few seat reservations. However, on the reservations for the routes from Oslo to Bergen and Bergen to Oslo, there is a number under "Issuer" that I do not know. I definitely didn't specify this when ordering. I have given my Interrail pass number. The number on the reservations is not the passport number. Does anyone have experience with seat reservations for these routes? Is the number made up of something? Otherwise, can I contact Interrail directly - if this is the wrong number?
