We are booked on 10.36 train from Bolzano to Munich (RJ88) on Tuesday 8th September, then 15.17 from Munich to Berlin (ICE1004) same day. Will either or both be running?

Best answer by Marvin Heer

The ICE in Germany will not be affected by the strike in italy.

No idea about the RJ.

RJ 88 is not a guaranteed train:

ÖBB don't indicate yet that it's not running, but I'd already make a plan B using guaranteed trains.

From Bozen to Brenner, the following trains are guaranteed on 8/9 in the morning:

RV 16550 Bozen 6:02 - Brenner 7:22

RV 17100 Bozen 7:02 - Brenner 8:22

See:

From Brenner, I think ÖBB S-Bahn trains should run normally. Use fahrplan.oebb.at or the ÖBB Scotty app for Austrian timetables.

you can also use the direct regional train Bolzano-Innsbruck at 7:30 from Bozen. It is a train of SAD in Italy, officialy not part of Interrail, but they acept it, never had problems
