Rail strikes in the Netherlands will impact train travel from 00:00 (12:00 a.m.) to 23:59 (11:59 p.m.) CET on 9 September. Due to the strike, trains will not run throughout the Netherlands that day.

We recommend checking the planner in the Rail Planner App or the NS timetable shortly before departing for your planned journey for up-to-date train times. To find out more about the strike, please read the NS strike announcement.

Airportsprinter and international trains

The Airportsprinter between Amsterdam Central, Schiphol and Hoofddorp will run, four times an hour. The international trains EuroCity, Eurocity Direct, Eurostar Continental and Channel, NightJet, ICE, and the regional trains Roosendaal-Antwerpen and Drielandentrein Liège-Aken will not run in the Netherlands.

That's exactly what it means. No trains in/to/from the Netherlands, except between Amsterdam Centraal and Schiphol Airport.
