Hi, I am planning to go from Brussels to Beziers and my route involves a transfer between Paris Nord and Paris Gare De Lyon. Is 40 minutes enough time to get between the two? Thank you

40 minutes is tight, especially if you don't know where to go. I usually plan at least an hour between both.

The RER between both stations is pretty fast, so it is possible. What I've also done is booked the following train too, to have a backup. SNCF seat reservations are fully flexible until 30 minutes after departure (note Eurostar ones aren't).

Another alternative is to use one of the TGV's that bypass Paris: Brussels-Montpellier St Roch or Brussels-Nîmes Pont du Gard & from there onwards with a TER to Béziers. That way you'll only need one reservation (the TER's don't require reservations) and you'll have an easy same-station interchange.
