Get ready to travel

Hey all! I am (desperately) trying to get a seat reservation for a night train from Hamburg Hbf to Lund C tonight at 23:57, but it seems that the train is fully booked. Are there any possibilities of boarding despite this, can I get some “emergency seats” or even stand in a corner somewhere without risking a fine? I can’t get a hold of customer service at the station either. Thank you in advance, any tips are appreciated!  

Is there any way I can get a refund for the unused days.  I am already back in the US.

I bought a 10 day pass for 371 USD, passes include tickets for MOST trains that show up on the app, second class tickets for some. Extremely difficult, you open the app and your tickets or journeys don’t pop up and you then have to open and close it 75 times until your stuff pops up.You buy this pass thinking it is soooo convenient, then you find out there are seat reservations. What you are not told is there is a limited number of Eurail pass holder seats per train. There must be only 2 seats per train because by the time most people can book THEY ARE ALL FULL. They are full for the day and full until maybe 5 days from then, that is with SEVERAL trains a day still. Then, you have to cough up usually $300 for SEATS to your destination. The problem is you try to book seats on the website, you can’t. Ciao a tutti!sto per fare il mio primo interrail con un global pass, ho riservato dei posti (comprandoli direttamente in stazione a Roma) per un notturno da BOLOGNA A MONACO DI BAVIERA diretto, con partenza alle 23:45 e arrivo a Monaco alle 9:20.Se vado sull’App di Eurail però non mi da questo treno, mi da solo un treno che va Bologna - Villach con un cambio Villach - Monaco, entrambe queste tratte hanno bisogno dei posti prenotati.la mia domanda è: possibile che non appaia il mio treno sull’app e che se anche fosse non diretto quindi debba comprare due posti riservati diversi per la coincidenza (nonostante io abbia già pagato un posto fino a Monaco diretto)? 

Hello everyone,We bought the Global Pass and then bought seats from London to Paris. We refunded the Global Passes but we cannot refund the seat reservations. Can we still use these tickets even though we refunded the Global Pass?Thanks for your help!

Hi all,I have a French temporary resident permit (titre de sejour) but I am a non-EU passport holder. Can I buy Eurail pass instead of interrail pass?

I'm planning to get on the calidonian Sleeper at 22.22pm on the 16th at April at my local train station in Garelochhead for the start of our interrail tour. I have paid for the room supplement, great.However as this is my First journey of the day and the Calidonian sleeper only need a ticket valid on arrival so the 17th... is the correct? Or do I just need my ticket to be valid in the app for the 16th?  I also read somewhere they said to add it manually but I can't work out how.  Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

Hello everyone, at the moment I don’t understand which bus rides are free for me to use and which are not. Can I add a random bus route to “My Trip” for example in Cornwall, UK? The ride is not available in the app, but could I simply add it manually? There is sometimes no train available, so I am supposed to take the bus.Thank you for your help in advance!Anna

Hi, if i have a France one country pass and choose to go to Florence, can i only pay the portion of the trip that is within Italy (because the pass covers the french portion)? Or would that not be allowed? Is it possible to see what the split would be if I wanted to travel from Lyon to Florence? ThanksRoger

Hello. :)I would like to use the Interrail pass to travel this summer.I want to go from a specific city in France to a specific city in Germany and because of my late planning, the direct trains have no more space for pass holders and I have to go through a series of trains. This is also during my outbouding travel but it’s not in my residential country anymore. I'm afraid that a delay of one train at the beginning of the day will make me miss a train at the end of the day.Since these are all trains without reservations (so no paid reservations), do I have to take them all at the same time? If I take the ticket for the late train and see that I'm going to miss it, can I change it?Thanks for any help!

Hi, I am going to travel through france soon and I wanted to know, if I just can take a later train, if I couldn’t catch my initial connecting train. Do I have to add this train to my interrail pass then?Also What happens to the reservation of the original train, is it possible to get a refund? 

Hello,I am planning to upgrade my Eurail pass from 7 days to 10 days as I have added on some travel plans. I will be going in late August/early September, so I have no yet activated the pass. However I booked two seat reservations from Paris to London, and London to Brussels (both on the Eurostar). How do I change the payment from dollars to pounds?

I have activated a four day mobile flex pass and completed the initial trip without problems.  But when I return to “My Trips” to assign a trip to a second day’s travel, there is no slider bar available to make the transfer.  I read somewhere that the transfer should be done on the day of travel or even just prior to boarding the train.  Is this true?  If so, that doesn’t offer much time to resolve last minute issues.

Just looking on the TGV Lyria reservations through the Interrail system. It is showing me a minimum of £229.62 for a journey in October. Can this really be correct? Just for a ‘reservation’? 

Hi!I want to travel from Grenoble (FR) to Torino (IT).I see that there are some trains that do not allow passholders (Ok), others that have a big price (again, understood although not happy with it) and others that have the 33 eur price. In the eurail website I see that the price for seat reservations in FR-IT trains is 31 eur (+ 2 eur for the fee),  so it fits.But, when I click on any of the trains with the marked “33 eur”, the figure changes to 58 eur. Why is it? Is it a bug? How can I book a seat for 31+2 eur? Thanks to all of you!

Hello!Can anyone tell me how do I have to write my train routes on the pass? Most of the train routes I have planned I have to change trains and do transfers between cities, so I am not sure if I have to write all the changes, or just the start and final point.Thank you :)

Hi fellows Travellers !My girlfriend and I plan to visit germany with the france germany rail pass ! We already plan our trip with some mandatory seat reservations, but 2 of our trains didn't required any reservations. We wanted to know if we should still pay an extra for reservations for the trains if we want to travel next to each other , or the day of our travel, at presentation of our pass, we will be seated asides ? Thanks for your return ! Good morning. I need to ask a question regarding the tickets for high speed trains. We do have the tickets (with Qr code) in which it is specified that the seat reservation is required, but we were not able to make it for the selected trains. Can we take the train in any case or we need to switch to national trains?Looking forward to hearing from youThank you

Hi! I am doing an interrail with my cousins, and had a problem with the train due to the weather. We had reserved tickets (via seat reservation policy) from Ljubljana to Zurich for August 4, more specifically from Villach to Salzburg and then from Salzburg to Zurich. We had done the seat reservations on August 3As we were leaving Ljubljana headed to Zurich the 4 of August, at 7h26, we were told after waiting 40min on the train that the latter couldn’t proceed with the journey because of the rain (it had some implications with the railway). Afterwards, we had to wait more than an hour to get a substitution train from Ljubljana to Villach. The problem is that we were late for the next two trains we had to catch, of course. Hence we were not able to reserve seats for those two trains, as they were already booked.  Thus, we could not enjoy the seats we had reserved, and paid for nothing, due to the delay caused regarding the first train from Ljubljana. Therefore, I would like to know if we
