I am traveling through multiple countries and 2 day trips within Germany. Should I buy a 7 day global pass, or a 5 day global pass and 2 local tickets for my Munich day trips. Is the global pass good for the 2 day trips or do I need to buy local tickets for those 2 days.
Second question: If I buy Global Plus pass, Do they assign me seats, or do I still have to reserve my own seats?
Answering is impossible because we don't know what your passes will cost (depends on age and whether you can buy them in a sale), nor what regular tickets would cost (depends on the trains you take, with how many people etc.).
Check prices for your day trips on bahn.com and then compare with the price difference between the 2 passes. Also check regular prices using only regional trains.
