I’ve been trying to book something in France for the better part of a week and I keep getting the notification on the top of the page that it’s not working. What's an alternative way to make French train reservations with a US credit card? It says 'Prices temporarily unavailable. Check back in a few hours to see prices and book this seat reservation.' And it has for a while now. But when you go to the alternative options it offers you, you get this:'Others ways to book this seat reservationBook in person at a main station in Europe Book online at travel.b-europe.com Reservations for domestic trains by phone through "Ligne Directe" 36 35. Call centre does not accept US Visa and Master Cards credit cards'When I tried the site travel.b-europe.com I'm pretty sure it's connected to Eurrail and down too. Because no reservations on any day are available. The phone number is not an option because of my US cards. So then that leaves 'main station in Europe.' Currently in the Balkans where train

Purchased a Interrail pass for myself & my son yesterday for our trip to Germany from UK at the end of June. Managed to add the route to “my trip” & purchased the seat reservation for Eurostar through interrail website. When I go on my reservations it says “more details required” but I’ve done all that on the Eurostar website & have received my e-ticket via email so not sure why I’m still getting that message.Also couldn’t book seat reservation on high speed train from Brussels via interrail so had to do on DB website, will I just need to show email confirmation of seat reservation on that train if asked?Apologies for the long winded question but I’ve been having real difficulties with this since early yesterday.

I will be going to Switzerland in the summer (might re-visit for winter again), hence for this trip, I am really interested in the Brienz Rothorn Bahn as I think going on winter won’t have the same scenery.  But it’s pretty pricey (return trip is 96 CHF, is it not covered by interrail, not even a discount?), is it really worth it? The cable car to the top of Zermatt is almost similar price even. Any suggestion or maybe there are other more affordable steam trains for interrail holders? Addition: is it possible to get one way up, then hike down? or would that be too much of a hike Thank you!

I need recommendation on which panoramic train/(s) to choose from in Switzerland as eurail holders (travelling at 23-26 July): here is our rough planned itinerary for now (the one colored blue are the one we’re going to activate our eurail passes)The one trip i am most indecisive with panoramic train i think would be our last trip from interlaken to Venezia Mestre. I’m considering this routes:Interlaken - Lucerne (Zentralbahn) reservation optional, 16 euro  then followed by Lucerne > Bellinzona > Milan Central > Venezia Mestre St. Moritz - Tirano (Bernina Express) reservation 33 euro then followed by Tirano - Colico > Milan Central > Venezia Mestre  my questions are:I heard the Zentralbahn route is also really nice with the Lake Brienz view. So is Bernina Express worth it for that price to hop on in summer? (will we pass through icy glacier alps and snowy panorama? Hi, I will be travelling between my country of residence (UK) and the EU 3 times during 1.5 months and wondering if there is some option that allows multiple entry-exits from one’s country of residence? I had considered getting a Eurail pass, but don’t think I’ll be allowed to long-term.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

From Melbourne, Australia, I am travelling mid June 2023 from Roma Fiumicino Airport train station (as staying near there) to Castiglion Fiorentico (via Roma Tiburtina is the way I am advised)Eurail website https://www.eurail.com/en/help/interested-in-eurailing/which-trains-are-included-in-the-pass states that Trenetalia Italian trains ARE included under Eurail Pass.The Roma Fiumicino Airport rail stn to Roma Tiburtina leg of trip seems not covered and not managed by Trenetalia.But Trenetalia operate Roma Tiburtina to Castiglion Fiorentico (per their website https://www.lefrecce.it/Channels.Website.WEB/#/search-results?handoff=true&referrer=www.trenitalia.com) so can I use my 7 day Eurail Pass investment - with no seat reservation ?The Eurail Pass site when searching simply comes up with NO train service found Roma Tiburtina to Castiglion Fiorentico 26/6/23 - unhelpful to me.  Tony Harding

I bought a mobile Eurail Pass "7 days in 1 month 2nd class" for the first time. I’ll be in Europe from May 6th to May 22nd and I’ll take trains in 7 days within that period:a. With mandatory reservation, for example Eurostar (I already bought the tickets paying a discount).b. No mandatory reservation (I still bought the tickets to reserve a seat).c. Without the possibility of reserving a seat (I’ll show up at the station and take the train by showing the pass).My questions:1) I arrive in Madrid on May 6th, and I'll take the first train in London on May 13th. Can I activate the pass in Madrid?2) Every time I take a train, do I have to show the pass on my cell phone (plus the corresponding ticket in cases a and b)?3) I bought some tickets through Eurail.com and they appear in the application's "Reservations Overview". We will use our Global 1st class EURAIL pass for the first time on 07 May. We are using the rail planner app and have planned a trip from Paris Gare de Lyon to Mulhouse Ville. Seat reservations are required and we have booked seats and printed the confirmation. We are seniors and have not travelled with a EURAIL pass previously. We will take the train from Chatelet Les Halles to Gare de Lyon (I don’t believe that I can use the EURAIL pass for this trip. Please confirm that this is the case). My question is about what we need to do when we get to Paris Gare de Lyon. Who/Where do we present our mobile pass? We do not speak French and do not want to miss our train. I am sure that there will be people at the station who can help us but I would like to know in advance what to do. Thank you for your assistance. 

Hello everyone, I am travelling to the UK for the first time and also making use of the eurail global mobile pass for the first time and would like to know how to add the exact train that I have booked seat reservation on, to my trips in my mobile pass. From what I can see, the mobile pass only shows you timings of the trains between two places and there is no information such as train number etc. written anywhere on the railplanner app. I have booked my seat reservation from Edinburgh to London on LNER website by matching the timetable on the rail planner app to that of the LNER website. How do I ensure that my seat reservations are on the exact train that I have added to my pass?

Hiii, Me and my friend, both 18 years old, are planning to do our first trip together this summer. We want to go in september for two weeks and since we are students we´re on a low budget so we´re thinking of going to east Europe. Maybe Vienna, Budapest, etc. We would be leaving from antwerp.If anyone has any tips or destination ideas, please let us know because we are looking forward to a new adventure but a little inexperienced. :) 

Booking from Bucharest to Budapest for June. Reservation gets added to my cart but then I get the error message ‘Technical issues: some trains can't be booked with us right now. See other ways to book here. Please check again shortly!’ Is this a bug or a feature? I can book direct via the Romanian operator so there is space available. Any ideas if this is an issue with the interface with the Romanian operator that might be sorted shortly or do i book direct?

I have trips planned on my mobile app. There are fees due. How do I pay for the fees?

Hello everyone, I am receiving a warning that I need to add some locations manually in the Rail Planner application for the mobile pass. Hey:)I've just bought a relatively large (60+10 liters) backpack for traveling. When I got home, I noticed that I can only get into the large compartment from the top. And I can't open it at the front like a travel bag.What do you think? I've never traveled with a backpack before? Is that a disadvantage? Should I exchange it?

From Zurich, What is the cheapest way to go to lucern and mt titli for tomorrow w/o Global Pass? I have one day left in my Global Pass but I am saving that for going back to Paris from where my flight to home is. Google maps is showing to take IR70 from Zurich Hb to Lucerne. And then IR from Lucerne to Engelberg. Would it be better / cheaper to rent a car for the day? 

Hi,I am traveling to Germany and Switzerland. I am going to Dusseldorf to Cologne, Freiburg, Poschiavo, Tirano and Zurich. I am planning to get a Global Pass 1st class. Is it worth getting 1st class and is it worth purchasing the plus (refundable) for the pass? If I miss a connection while traveling can I get a different train to my destination as long as it is within the one travel day? I’m a bit nervous traveling on my own for the first time and not sure if I’ll make all the trains I need. Thank you!Y 

Hi there, the last time I spent a long duration in Europe was over 25 years ago, and at that time I carried cash with me and credit cards. These days, I’m mostly cashless, but I would like to have some local currency with me on this trip – all countries will either take the British pound or the euro. I’ll primarily be using my credit card – I hope - on this trip as that is the easiest from my perspective. But does anybody have any recommendation on how much cash per day I should have just for incidentals? Assuming England, France, Italy, Croatia, and Greece will except a credit card, and I won’t need much cash on hand? Thank you in advance for any help

Hi, we will be missing our train today’s 10:06 Tirano to Chur Bernia express train. If we take a later train, would we be still able to see the same views? 

HiI am new to the community. I am trying to reserve a seat from London to Glasgow. On Eurail reservation site it says you have to reserve a seat by paying 10 Aud but in the Rail Europe web site it says that a reservation is not required. Both trains are Avanti west coast and at the same time. Which site is correct? If a reservation is not required can we sit in any seat? Thank you

I want to get a train from Prague to Krakow. The trains departs Prague at 22:05 and arrives inn to Krakow at at 05:42. Will this use up more than 1 travel day? Thanks

Hi, my global pass trips is showing 5th travel day as today. Even though I did not have any travel today and nor did I had any activated trips. Now I don’t see an option to cancel/ remove it as my travel day. How do I resolve this?
