i'm living in germany and want to travel to amsterdam and brussels with the benelux one country pass. am i allowed to use the international ice trains cologne-amsterdam to get there and brussels-frankfurt for my route home? i read somewhere that ice trains are only allowed on domestic routes with the benelux pass but idk what that means.

Hi, after a fab reply to my initial question last week about booking train from London to Salzburg I have gone onto www.raileurope.com to see if tickets are available ( I think it might be next Sunday they are out?).I went onto rail passes ( rather than train tickets) to book 9.01 from St Pancras’s to Brussels. Nothing seems to come up to enter interail pass ) just railcards). It just tells you full price of ticket. Is this because the tickets with an interail pass are still not available yet?Also can I book my return at same time for Sat 10th August from Brussels to London.   ( is it cheaper?) or can I only book two singles?I want to be fully prepared for when the seats do become available. A first timer here on using Interrail passes. I will be using a first class pass. I am going to travel from Hamburg to Venice with my family and we will use the Brenner route, traveling from Munich. I read that there was a supplement fee that you had to pay if you entered Italy from Austria. I bought my tickets through the ÖBB website, but I mistakenly booked them using the “Seat reservation only” option. I can’t get my tickets refunded, and I am worried that the ticket could be refused.I was wondering if it was possible to pay the supplement fee by local means instead. Can you speak to a staff member in Munich or on the train if you want to pay it there? If so how do we do this?

Hy, im trying to book the nightjet 402 from Zürich to Düsseldorf with my interrail 1st Class Ticket and it states i need a reservation. Now im not sure if i get a sleeperbed if i book the seat reservation over Interrail (1. Class) or if this will just be the seat?  Thanks already a lot for all your help😁. Greetings Simon

Pls help, I am worried about my route and connecting. Seems route is joining local trains and is not an international route.Are the stops & connecting time’s realistic? They seem so short to me.Is the route and arrival at the stations safe esp during the times with small kids? Is there a way to get another route? What options do I have for someone travelling tomorrow? Is it better to book flights? Hello All! Great Community! I have a very quick question regarding the possibility of my weekend trip:A 4 day global pass is needed for the following:-Friday: Frankfurt - Zürich-Saturday: Zürich - Zermatt-Sunday: Zermatt - Frankfurt (with stop in Zürich)(with one day to spare).And as I have seen I can use any trains for these trips right? Even the ICE for Frankfurt to Zürich as an example. (As long as they show up when I search using the interrail search engine). If I just take the trip Zürich - Zermatt and back a one-country pass would be enough right? (Making sure I understood correctly). Thank you very much in advance!

I'm flying in to Sofia and using up a 15 DayDay 1 Sofia to Bucharest no problems , then as I progress North it's asking for a Fee , if I choose no reservations my choices dwindle to nothing , I should surely be able to progress in  Eastern Europe just by hopping on and showing my Valid pass in the App, Bucharest to Clug comes in at 12 Euro , the app seems to be throttling me very slowly if I choose no reservations.Any body had previous experiences through Romania Hungary Slovakia with the Valid Pass on the App.Thanks in advance from Chris

We are UK citizens considering using Interrail passes to travel to Italy. We would start our journey in Chester. Can we use Interrail passes to get us from there to London?

Hi! I am planning to do an Interrail trip for 4 days from Frankfurt to Marseille in May.I was thinking to go from Frankurt to Geneve and stay there less than one day, and then go to Marseille.I would stay in Marseille 2 full days  and then left on the third day back to Frankfurt.Do you have any suggestions?Is the weather nice in May to go to the beach in Marseille?Do you think I should include more stops?Thank you for your help!

Hi Everyone, currently in Switzerland and tomorrow we want to take the ferry from Lausanne to Montreaux. I cannot find on the e-pass HOW to find the ferry and make it a journey. Please let me know.

OK this is an issue I've run into. How do I book a seats on this train. Eurail system is not offering any clear advice.Can somepee please help? 

Since Brexit, are UK residents/citizens eligible for a Eurail Global Pass?

I am think I am might be really confused or doing this wrong. I purchased a 5 Day Global for one month. I have started to reserve the trips - Amsterdam to Antwerp, Brugge to Paris, Paris to Amsterdam. It looks like I could have gotten all of the tickets for $213 US by just buying them directly. Or, am I doing the reservation system wrong? So what is the benefit of the pass?

I’m going to Italy for 2 weeks then Switzerland one week mainly jungfrau and train to Zurich airport. Is eurorrail and jungfrau pass the best price? 

I will be there in October.  Right now scheduled to fly home from Verona. Would prefer to fly home from Venice.  What are the fastest choices to travel from Verona via train to Venice?

We will be traveling from Sicily, through Florence to Lake Garda and eventually up to Paris with our mountain bikes.  They are expensive and I do not feel comfortable leaving them in the luggage area.  If we booked a family sleeper car, could we bring the bikes into the room?  Thanks, karen

Hi, I am planning a trip with a friend to go to Norway with interrail. We cant seem to figure out the best way to get from Amsterdam to Oslo. We want to visit Bergen, Geirangerfjord, Trondheim. First is this doable in a week /9 days? Secondly, how do we get to oslo as best as possible? We are looking into night trains as well. Hello,We will have a car and climbing / bouldering in Fontainebleau. Then I need to get to Munich by train. I have 2 days to get to Munich were we fly back to NZ. I can do a one-way car drop off (not expensive either) in Southern France. I was thinking about Dijon, but not sure.Then take a Train to Munich- but I can’t seem to find a route.OR, I could return the car to Paris - but that feels like back tracking.  I read an article about a sleeper / couchettes from Paris to Munich but I can’t find that either.Question: How would get from France to Munich? Could I go Dijon to Zurich to Munich? Thank you!

I am planning my summer holiday 2024. I am buying an interrail ticket and will travel from Horsens in Denmark to Pau in the south of France. The date has not been set yet, but it might be 22/7-2024.I have used German bahn.de to plan the journey. As a part of the journey it suggests that I take SJ's EN 345 from Odense at 01.46 to Hamburg at 06.00.This journey requires a reservation, which is not yet on sale. And Deutche Bahn does not sell tickets for SJ's trains at all.But to check the possibility of buying a seat ticket for EN345, I have searched SJ.se on a random date in the near future. But I am told that the departure is sold out. This apparently applies to all scheduled departures from 3/2-24 to 9/4-2024.Instead, I tried to search for the departure from Copenhagen Airport at 00.10 (or an earlier station in Sweden) to Hamburg at 06.00. Here it is possible to buy a ticket. But I would prefer to avoid traveling all the way from from Horsens (In Jutland) to Copenhagen and then back in

Hi, I’m new to using the Eurail and am planning a trip across Europe. Last week when looking at train times from Basel, Switzerland to Paris on June 17 I noticed some train options that took less than 6 hours to get back to Paris. Today, when I went to make a reservation I found that the same reservation will take over 15 hours. Is the timing too early to look at this or did seats book up that fast? Seems like with an Eurail pass it would be easier to make these reservations but now I’m not so sure.Sincerely,Brock
