Dear train journey lover, Planning our trip in Scandinavië I have to take the train from Oslo to Kil. We have a short transfer (5 minutes) in Kongsvinger. We need to catch this train otherwise we'll be stuck and miss all the reservated trains later. Does anyone know if this is a big station? Is ot possible to catch the train to Kil?Thank you for helpingFroukje 

I’m planning on going to bologna on monday. the suggested time in munich is too short, so i want to take one train to munich very early, and then take one from there to bologna. i have to create two trips for that, is that fine or would the first one ( hamburg-munich) already count as inbound ? 

I asked this question last week but didn’t get any useful responses.I bought a 5-day pass for a trip and I am wondering if I should use a 4 instead, especially since I cashed my itinerary.June 16: Train to and from Auschwitz and krakow. Night train to pragueJune 20: Train from Prague to Vienna.June 22: train from Vienna to Munich June 25: night train from Munich to Paris.I should be fine with only 4 correct?

Hello!I’m trying to book a train from Milan to Tirano on June 28th (Trenord, not included in the pass apparently) and for some strange reason there are no trains available. Same thing in late June in general. Anyone knows what’s going on? Really no trains?? Thanks,Anna 

We have booked a Eurail travel day for 6th July and have booked reservations on the Golden Pass train.At the moment it does not go from Interlaken due to disruptions.Do we have to book Interlaken to Zweisimmen with the local rail BLS separately, and will our Eurail pass cover this please and we just need seat reservations, or new tickets?

Hi guys, I’m planning my trip in August and I’m quite on a budget 😬. So I’m trying to cut costs wherever I can, including seat reservations. Since both direct trains between Paris-Amsterdam and Prague-Budapest have compulsory seat reservations, I looked for different journeys with no reservations needed. This is the result:Paris-Amsterdam: Paris-Amiens-Lille-Courtrai-Anvers-Amsterdam on TER, InterCity and Regional trains; Prague-Budapest: Prague-Wien-Budapest on RailJet.So, reservations are not compulsory here, but I’d like to know if you suggest them anyway for any of these journeys. I let you know that we are 10… but both the journeys will start pretty soon in the morning (6:00 and 4:45)Thanks in advance.

May 5th, madrid puerta de atocha to Barcelona Sants, 19:00-21:30. To reserve it says Eurail cannot reserve, and only options are in person at train station, or by email and there’s no email. does this mean the train is fully reserved, or is it a first come first serve basis and you have to get there and reserve it in person?if the latter, how early should I get to the train?

Help! I need 17 seats on a high-speed train to Florence from Rome. I was able to add 9 people to the reservation, but the site will not let me add the other 8. What can I do?

First time Traveller from Australia 😊 currently making our way across Europe and we're in Berlin at the moment! I wanted to clarify something about this 22 day Eurail pass, but I think I may already know the answer... my friends and I purchased 22 days, but it's for 22 consecutive days, correct? My friends and I will be travelling across Europe for a month. I feel like I may have made a mistake in buying this ticket instead of a different one…We're hoping to visit several countries, but we don't really have a particular time/dates when visiting cities. We'll be going to Rome, Naples/Pompeii, Sevilla, Barcelona, Paris and then London where we fly out on the 31st of May. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

We are planning on traveling from zermatt to como however in Milan there is a 15 minute transfer that says “transfer by public transportation”. There’s only 30 minutes to do this and I have no idea what kind of transportation there is or if it’s even provided. I don’t want to miss our train. Does anyone know what this could be? I have a global pass and want to travel fromParis to Zurich.I  have a reservation from Paris Gare Lyon to Basel SBB. But no reservation from Basel to Zurich.Can  I use the pass to take the next train to Zurich

Hi there, on the last day of my trip my pass suddenly disconnected from saved trip and I had to re- add the pass but I lost all the data (journeys etc) that were connected to that pass. Can you advise how I can recover this / reconnect the pass to saved trip/ consolidate the two trips on to the one pass ? I currently have two trips- one has most of the journeys but isn’t connected to the pass , and one is the new trip I had to create to get home!Many thanksFrancesca 

I think that the trip from Bucharest to Istanbul in May should count as one interrail day as there is a through sleeper from Dimitrovgrad to Halkali. My problem is that the Interrail app is coming up as two separate journeys on two separate days:Dimitrovdrad - Kapikule 22.50-00.45 on SaturdayKapikule - Halkali 2.30-6.34 on SundayHow do I avoid using two days of my 5 day pass?Thanks

Looking to travel from Bordeaux over to Spain to explore the Basque Country, San Sebastián and Bilbao would be ideal. However the trains don’t look the best, says it’ll be 26 hours of travelling which feels a bit much. is there anything we are missing or is that just the way it is? Cheers!,fraser

Hello there,I am going to Syracuse in Sicily, Italy this summer, for about a week. I prefer not to take the plane, and was thinking taking the train could be a good alternative. Do you have any suggestions for which route to take and which stations/trains to take? I was thinking:Belgium (starting in Antwerp or Brussels), France, Swiss, Italy (Catania is closest big railwaystation). Would like to make as less stops as possible in between Belgium and Italy.And which pass should I buy for this? This is all very new to me :) Would this be a good option, or does anyone know about a direct option from Belgium to Italy (I prefer to go there in 1 ride, I dont want to make stops in any cities in between). Thanks so much!Anne

Buongiorno, Avrei alcune domande da fare. Con le mie cugine vogliamo fare un viaggio per L’Europa.Non mi è chiaro se  con il Pass si può fare un biglietto andata e ritorno nello stesso giorno? Es da Madrid Sevilla andata e ritorno nello stesso giorno?.  Poi in Francia vogliamo fare diverse fermate Marsiglia, Avignone, Lyon, Parigi. Si possono fare in due giorni di Pass o sono di più?Quando programma nel mappa il mio percorso le città intermedia me lo considera un giorno di viaggio.  

There have been a number of questions recently about upcoming track work in Sweden and people (including me) have said to check out the sj.se site for information on scheduled works.However, when I look at the page it talks of diversions and changes to schedules in April (last month) all the way back to February.  I don’t see much for for May and nothing for June.Is anyone aware of any more recent or up to date information?

Hi! My Friends and I are traveling to Greece for the summer and we wanted to buy the interrail Greece pass (not the island one) in order to discover continental Greece. However, when I use the interrail app to check the timetables of the trains from Athens to Thessaloniki and vice versa, it says that those trains are not available. What could be happening? It is going to be possible to travel Greece by train this summer? I know that last summer was not possible because some railway stuff... Anyways, thank you so much!

Hello, I have a flex pass of 5 days and I want to know how can I plan multiple destinations/ stops in 1 day ?For example: I will do Wurzburg-Germany => Nuremberg-Munich => Salzbourg-Austria..Should I set up every step each city or from Wurzburg => Austria is enough? Thanks
