https://www.interrail.eu/en/book-reservations#/generatePassCoverNumber I’m new here and i have to book a train trough Stockholm-Copenhagen. On the interrail site it says that for some reasons i cant book the reservation. Went to SJ and theres a lot of seats not taken for that train. But on SJ support it says you need a paper pass with a cover number to be able to book only the seats on SJ. I saw this generate pass cover number thing and i got a code, but im wondering if its legit and i can write it in and use it? Or if they will ask me about it on the train? I’m sorry if its a confusing question but i’ve had problems with interrail all day and is currently kind of stressed hahaha… thank you!

Hi, I recently bought a Global Pass for two months in a sales action, where you could buy it for half the price. I want to cancel this Pass and went the usual way for cancellation but I could not get far. I can’t find any info on whether my “Sales”-Pass is refundable. Can you help me? Thanks, Jakob

We are all Australian citizens and live in Australia but will be travelling on EU passports.  I know we can buy a Eurail pass but it says we need to bring an official doc proving residency of Australia.  What docuemntation does that include? A valid drivers license?

Hi all, thanks for answering my previous questions. I won’t have any trouble with most reservations but I am with ITALY. Both OBB and the Trenitalia sites will not sell a seat reservation for May 29th Florence to Lugano (usually via Bologna or Milan). The OBB site (regardless of date) says NO TICKET and yet if I want to BUY one there are tickets for sale. Please help me figure out how to get such a simple thing like an Italian train seat reservation. Germany and France are easy! Many thanks!Scott

Sorry for my ignorance but I’m knew to the mobile app version of Eurail. I made a reservation online with OBB for a segment from Florence to Milan--my wife and I have a first class railpass (10 days in 2 months). The OBB price for a seat reservation was something like 20 Euros--but it asked if I wanted to upgrade to 1st class for an extra 4 euros, so I clicked it. How does DB or OBB of SBB know what class my pass is good for? Many thanks for any answers,Scott

Hi fellow travellers!While planning my first ever interrail trip I have ran into an issue with booking sleepers. For some reason I can’ t seem to be able to book any form of couchette tickets on night trains.I am looking to book a sleeper on IC 60403, Utrecht Central to Zurich HB. is it possible that this just isn’ t an option on this train? I have the same problem with the ICE trains going from Berlin to Rotterdam. Is there any way to book a sleeper for these trains, or should I look for a different train. And if so, what train would you recommend :)Thanks a lot in advance,Julian 

Travelling from Paris to Rouen, Monday 22nd May. Have Eurail Pass.Specifically trying to book TER 3119 but I have also tried to book other trains earlier and later. Some of them seem to require reservations and some not. (According to Eurail)In each case, when I try to book a one way journey Paris to Rouen on their website via my home computer there is no option to add it to my shopping cart. On the phone app it lets me add the train service to “My Trip”.Question 1 - Does that mean I can board the train?Also, the Eurail website and the phone app both say a seat reservation is required for this particular train. I looked up the train service on SNCF and confirmed this. I also read elsewhere (Seat61 I think) that TER trains are included on the Eurail pass. So that means I can just board the train I presume and do not have to pay any extra (except of course for a seat reservation).  BUT - and here is my question #2: How do you buy the seat reservation? Hello! I am planning on going to Italy for about a month. However, the Italy Pass is more expensive than the global pass. Can I still use the global pass to only travel around italy? I mean, I’m not going to any other country.

I purchased two 1st class, 6 day Poland only eurail Passes for my sister and I for travel in August.  I have the Rail Planner app loaded on my phone and both passes loaded but not activated.  My sister is technocologically challenged.  We live in different states and because of that it is easier for me to purchase the seat reservations so that we are traveling on the same trains.  Can she also load the app on her phone before we travel so that she can show her own phone with her daily pass? (she is going to visit me soon so I thought I could load it on her phone at that time)   I wasn’t sure if it was allowed because it is already loaded on my phone.A couple of other questions-When looking at the https://www.intercity.pl/en/ website to purchase seat reservations it is only allowing me to select one ticket at a time. I select two passengers but as soon as I select Eurail/Interail in the discount drop down it switches to one passenger.  Does this mean they need to be booked separately? o

Dear Interrail community, We would like to book train tickets to Edinburgh from Nice (France) on August 04th. The routes are as follows: Nice - Paris (SNCF)Paris - London (Interrail)London - EdinburgWe have already booked tickets for the Eurostar train (Paris-London)For the Nice-Paris route, Interrail has proposed several departure times. We are interested in the train that leaves Nice at 07:57 to arrive in Paris early enough before taking the Eurostar train.The problem is that this train is not proposed on the SNCF website. We read on your website that the timetables may not be up to date on the Interail website. Therefore, the train leaving Nice at 07:57 would not exist. However, how to know if a train will be proposed by Interrail to arrive in Paris with enough time to take the next train to London? Thank you in advance.

I hope someone can help me hereI have started adding trips to my pass on the phone app. When I log in to my account on my computer I don't see these trips. Does this not sync?Do I need to re-add the trips manually so I can view them clearer on my laptop? This seems rather strange?Sarah

Hello We want to travel from Greece to Italy this summer. And for this we’ll buy the 6 days pass. But to us it is not completly clear how we can travel from Patras to Athen. We know that there should be trains or busses and this tranfer is inclused in the pass. But how does this work? Where can we see where and when these buses and trains depart? Do we have to make any seat reservations? Is the pass (what has been filled out for the ferry) enough to board the train / bus or are additional forms needed? And for travelling back from Greece to Italy, does it work the same way?And another question: would it be cheaper if we just bought the global pass and would buy the ferries to the islands and to greece seperately? Thank you for your answersKind regards

I have seat reservations a train from London to Paris and Paris to Barcelona tomorrow. Due to strike action in France the train from Paris to Barcelona has been cancelled.As this is the start of my trip, I am going to have to fly from London to Barcelona and then continue my Interrail journey from there.I have filled in the Interail delay compensation request form online in the hope that they will refund me for the seat reservations and the lost travel day.Would it be possible to get a refund from SNCF for the last minute flight from London to Barcelona? If so, how would I contact them?Not a good start to my trip (especially as I wanted to avoid flying!)Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi!Me and my friends are planning on Travelling in may. We are thinking of starting in Greece, and maybe go the the smaller islands there or to just stay in Greece and travel around there. Then we are thinking of taking the fairy to Italy and from there go to Schweiz and Austria or maybe France and Spain. Im wondering what kind of pass would fit best for this? I have checked the global pass but the problem is with Greece when you only get 30% discount on the ferries and I realized that the ferries are pretty expensive. The boat trip from Greece to Italy isn’t included in the global pass right? We don’t want the train tickets and boat tickets to become too pricy. Is it worth having a global pass when going to Greece? Or is it better to just buy ordinary tickets for this trip? Do you have any tips and if you have taken the ferries in Greece, what did it cost for you?

Hi there, I am travelling for 3 months (unlimited travel days) with The Netherlands as starting point, and wanted to go to the balkans/eastern Europe.However, when looking up trains in this area I can barely find any unfortunately. Ive seen some other topics from a while ago about this too, but I find it hard to figure out what I need to do/conclude from it. Is it better to just not go there at all as you need to take busses a lot (and those are not covered by interrail)? I’ve also read some things about there being trains in serbia and North-macedonia but just not internationally registred so it’s hard to know what the schedules are. Are there alternatives that are worth it? F.e. I saw that Romania is accessible still by a night train from budapest, and that it is possible to go from there to Sofia and then a train to halkali (Istanbul-west). Is this doable? Sorry if this is a bit vague but im new to this and really struggling with planning my trip.Thank you in advance for any help!

Hi all,Recently purchased the Eurail Pass and can’t wait to visit Europe at the end of this month. I have added the mobile pass to m phone and got the trip set up, the QR codes even shows up already and all the travel day has been used. However, I have few confusions:There are few trips that requires seat reservation, one of them is for the trip from Switzerland to Milan using EuroCity train. Went through the OBB ticket site, the trip seems to exist but it said that the ticket is unavailable, what does this mean exactly? No more seat left? Or it’s just that it’s not available online? Do I have to book directly at the station? What happens if till the end I didn’t manage to book a reservation? Will I still be able to hop on the train and just sit randomly or will I not be allowed to board at all.Thanks and hopefully this is not a duplicated question.

At the end of November 2022 I received a promotional email for Interrail. It advertised a 20% discount. That seemed like a great deal so I bought a couple passes.Currently I can purchase the same passes without a discount for about €115 less than I paid then. Has Interrail reduced their prices?

I cannot see any email confirmation of my global pass and there is nothing in my order overview as well. However, my credit card was charged for this transaction. My trip is in a couple of days and I URGENTLY need the pass in my account or a refund so I can repurchase. This is such a HUGE stress on my trip and a massive inconvenience. PLS HELP!
