Hi! I need to go from Basel ssb to Hamburg hbf but when I looked at my reservation I realised that I had only booked my reservation to Hamburg Harburg. How can I redo my reservation to include the missing part of the journey too?

Hi ! I am wondering if i purchase a global interrail 3 month pass does it mean i have up to 3 months worth of days to use it in when ever or throughout a block of 3 months? Would this also cover the Greek islands? As I want to interrail from the UK to Kos

Hello!Do i have to order anything else if I already have the pass? Or can I just walk on any train in the “system”? I know I will need reservations on some trains. Let's say I am traveling from Milan to Venice and there is no need for a reservation. Can I just walk on the train with my pass without ordering or confirming anything else beforehand?Thanks!

Hello, I have a question that I wasn't able to find an answer to. What should I do, if Interrail planner can't find a connection I know exists?For example: I'd like to visit Spain and travel by high-speed train from Madrid to Ourense, Galicia. I looked for a journey in 3 weeks from now. On Renfe (Spanish railways) website I can see numerous high-speed trains. However, if I search for high-speed connection on Interrail on the same date, there aren't any (it just shows a couple of long, 12 hour trips, rather than a 3 hour one). Now, I want to get the 7 day travel pass by DiscoverEU but I'm worried I won't be able to use it where I need to because of this problem.

So, I am traveling from Stuttgart to Barcelona on the 31st of January. Here are the trains I use. For the first two, I already made the reservations online. But the last one (Lyon-Barcelona) I can only book as a paper reservation, but It won't arrive until the 31st.I already went to the traveling agency of Deutsche Bahn, but they told me to book this train online.What can I do here?Can I buy a reservation at the train station in Lyon, on the day of departure?Or how I can get into contact with renfe or sncf for this case?Thank you in advance :) 

Hi all, my boyfriend and I made a reservation for a nighttrain from Berlin to Budapest-Keleti. When I download the ticket it is one ticket which says '’02 seats'’ but only my name is on it. Is it correct that you get 1 ticket for 2 people? We never made a reservation before so I want to double check everything. Btw: we checked the invoice and we did pay for the both of us. I have reserved seats no tickets on trains in Germany on DBs platform. My global pass will work as the ticket correct? I'm specifically going Frankfurt to Munich, then onward Munich to Vienna. Normally I could just book the direct ice train. But due to striking tomorrow in Germany I need to do a more convoluted way, and I need confirm seats, because there is a risk I will not get on otherwise. The train tickets are currently around $400, so that's why I need to know if the pass is going to work as my ticket.

Hello,  I wanted to start travelling the 30th of january. Now I see I activated my pass the first of january by accident. I didn’t add a journey neither I travelled. I wasnt aware that my pass already was activated. So if I understand it well, My pass will be expired before I even start to travel and I will lose the money. I tought the pass would start from the moment you add your first journey… can you please help me? thanks a lot. Greetings

Hi, my daughters and I will be traveling europe july 1-17 2022 and planning to use eurail. I have a couple of questions. What is the difference between 1st class and 2nd and if 1st isn't available can we still use our pass for a 2nd class seat? What is the best city to start in to get places quicker? We originally were going to start in Porto and it seems trains from there to paris will take a very long time and we would lose exploring days for travel. Are we able to pay the difference for a sleeper train if we are traveling overnight? how does that work?

Hiya! so my partner and I are planning our travelling and were looking to get the 3 month global pass. however when I was looking at the train routes to see how long they would take a few trains were coming up as times unavailable. for example the Lisbon to Madrid service has no trains running at first I thought it was because of how in advance I was looking to book (between September 2022 - mid November 2022) but I checked other services that were available in the start of September to see if they could be booked in mid November and they could. I wasn’t sure why these trains weren't available and couldn’t find an answer anywhere online so hopefully someone can answer and help out! The trains and dates that came up as unavailable were:Lisbon to Madrid 11/09/22 Rome to Bari 12/10/22 Igoumenitsa  to Patras 30/10/22 Patras to Athens 03/11/22If someone knows the answer to this it would be greatly appreciated! :)

Hello, We are Yuremi and Carlos from Mexico. As second Honeymoon and celebrating 20 years of marriage we decide to travel to Europe. Since we got married we haven’t done a big trip like this. So it is our first time in Europe and our first time trying to travel by train. But, but, but we are having sone trouble getting reservations, hopefully we can solve them in this community. We bought 2 Eurail Global Pass flexi pass 4 days within 1 month, we download the mobile app Rail Planner, we figure out our schedule using the planner and saving our decisions at my trip, after we setup our passes at my pass and we connect our passes with our trip. Until this point everything looks just lovely, But but but… When we review the tickets an orange text target saying “Seat reservations required” here starts Our calvario. First Only at this point I figure out I have to pay more and I don’t get why, also we figure out that no help is provided just a robot who is very annoying until we arrive here but

Hi, I am Italian but currently I am studying and living in Germany. All my documents are Italian. My trip will not involve travelling from/through/to Italy. In Germany, I am registered as living here but I do not have a German ID. Which should I select as my residence country? In case I select Italy, then I will not use my inbound and inbound journeys. Is this okay? Additionally, when trying to make a reservation through the interrail.eu website some trains show up as:DETAILS UNAVAILABLE. Seat reservation information isn't available right now for this train.Under ‘other ways to book this seat reservation’ I get:Book in person at a main station in EuropeThis is the case for the journey CHAMBERY CHALLES LES EAUX (FR) - GENEVE (CH) on 30/01/2022 (departure time 12:42). Hello everyone !I should start travelling with Interrail in February and I’m just starting booking my trips.I found the first trip I want to take in the reservation booking tool on the Interrail website and paid for the connections that require a reservation, but I can’t find this journey in the app. For now I have added all connections manually, but how can I link them with the reservations I made ? And for the ones that don’t need any reservation, will it be enough to just have added them manually in the app ?Thank you so much for your help !

Hi Everyone!I was planning to travel to europe later this year. I am just confuse on how well I can use the pass. I wanted to know if we can use the pass within the country? For example I went to Switzerland and I want to travel all around Switzerland. Can I use the Eurail pass on the local trains within Switzerland and that includes any other country? Hi! I wanted to ask a question about the Interrail pass (I won the pass on the DiscoverEU site)I currently live in an island (Sardinia, Italy); ferries are available but they would take at least 10-12 hours if not more. Do we have a right to take a plane to Europe using our pass? 

Hi All,My boyfriend and I will be traveling throughout Europe for two months in April and May. We will be going from Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Belgium, Amsterdam, Germany, Prague, Switzerland, and Italy. We were looking at getting the 15 day 2 month pass from moving from city to city, and then any small day trips just pay out of pocket. While doing more research we are confused. For example if we get the pass, we can jump on any train to lets say Barcelona to Paris for free with the pass? But there might be reservation fees? and luggage fees?OR will we also be paying the difference in ticket price that the pass doesn’t cover? For example the pass would be $422 for 15 days = $28.13 per ride. Looking at a ticket to Barcelona to Paris it’s around $60 so will I pay for a reservation fee, luggage fee, and $31.87 to cover the difference? I know this is long, I just wanted to be really thorough, we are starting to budget more for this trip and want to make sure we understand if the Eu

I have a interrail global pass. I want to go Italy-Venezia. I have to do seat reservation for it. But I could not on app because my enterance adress is Turkey and I’m now in Germany. Ticket office also couldn’t. They said that you must do it on app. What should I do? This Emergency because I am waiting train station.

I want to travel from england to switzerland . Now if i pick 4 day 1 month does that mean i can use the train 4 days yet stay whereever k want for -1 month? Secondly my questiln is that im I’m british so does that mean im European? excuse my stupid question as I'm new to inter-rail. 

In the past I have had the pleasure of traveling with Interrail on a number of occasions.  Me and my fellow travelers love to look out the window.  That used to be obvious, but nowadays there are unfortunately a lot of seats without a view, between the windows, etc. These are window seats without a window.  That to me is not really “travel”, that is waiting for you to arrive.  Then I prefer to travel with my own car.  A few years ago you could e.g.  in Italy very handy in the app.  reserve a specific seat.  Not possible anymore. Also this is not possible at the vending machine in France.  My question to the community is: Is it possible to reserve a specific seat via italiarail.com and/interrail.eu?  The same question when booking TGVs in France via Belgian Railway/interrail.eu?

I don't really understand how it works when there is no need to reserve a seat on a train. Do I have to do anything before I get on the train? What ticket do I have to show on the train? What does optional reservation mean? Am I sure to have a seat on the train? Thank you in advance for your answer

If I start the trip at 10p.m and arrive to the destination next day at 6 a.m. Does that count as one travel day or two?
