Hello, We are renting a place in Rothenburg a little aways from Lucerne that requires bus travel. Does Eurail global pass cover local bus and train travel? Does showing the pass from the Railplanner app enough or is there a ticket buying process involved?Thank you.

Hello, My partner and I bought a Mobile 7-day Global Pass, but we feel we got the wrong pass… We figured out that we only need 3 days of train travel, hence we should have gotten the Mobile 4-day Global Pass. We already paid and reserved our seats for our trains with the 7-day pass, but we have not yet activated the pass as we are starting our trip at the end of March 2024. A couple questions:Can we exchange our pass from a Mobile 7-day Global Pass to a Mobile 4-day Global Pass? Although we already booked our trains with the Mobile 7-day Global Pass, if we exchange our pass to a Mobile 4-day Global Pass, will we have to rebook our trains? (we fear that if we have to re-reserve our trains, we will lose the reservations we had already made since it seems the leg of our trip from London to Paris has limited reservations available as we are traveling on Easter Monday). Thank you so much in advance! We are thinking about purchasing a Eurail Pass for our holiday later this year. When I look at Rome2Rio, the price for a mid morning fast train from Paris to Bordeaux (for example), is approx $100 AUD pp. By comparison, the price on the Rail Planner app is from Euro 12 pp. Please assist me to better understand how to access pricing on Rail Planner. Hi!So, i am planning to travel from Budapest (Keleti) › Bucharest (Nord) via Szonol, train NT473 and i am trying to book a seat reservation for a double sleeper for me and my wife. It happens that it allows me to book on my own, but once i add a traveler, it only shows me the 2nd class ticket reservation.I tried to book on OBB website, but it says tickets are not available. Does this have to do with the 30/60 days booking availability window?This is kind of confusing so a little help would make a difference.Thanks!Joel Ventura

HiNew here and looking at a European round trip which appears to cost just over 400 euros, including London. But, if I look at travel on mainland GB it appears to cost over 600 euros.On trains travelling from e.g. Penzance to London, can you board anywhere along it’s journey?Asking because many places are listed.Please forgive my ignorance, just learning and planning.Thanks

Hello, this will be our first time to Europe and have a couple questions.  We are traveling in Aug/Sept 2024 so we have time to plan.Our trip is 3 parts.  First part, arrive in London and travel to Edinburgh by train - travel around Scotland for 4 days and then train back to London.Part 2, fly from London to Budapest for 3 or 4 days.Part 3, travel from Budapest by train, probably going Salzburg, Munich, Zurich, and ending in Basel.  Spending a night in each city.Does a 4-7 day Eurail pass make sense (which would cover the London to Edinburgh legs, as well as Budapest to Basel), or would it be easier to just buy tickets as we go?  Days of travel will be known and our schedule will be flexible as far as train times are concerned.If we do go with a pass, is a paper pass easier to work with?  I’ve been reading reviews about issues with the app, wifi, etc. I can’t find much information on what you do with the paper pass when you are ready to board a train.Thank you!

I would love suggestions on the most scenic routes at affordable prices. Which trains should we take for the best experience? Would also like feedback if we need to tweak our itinerary. 8th to 12th - UK.  -→ Travel from London to Amsterdam on 12th early morning. 12th to 14th - Amsterdam. --→ Travel from Amsterdam to Brussels on 14th early morning. 14th to 16th - Brussels --→ Travel from Brussels to Paris on 16th early morning. 16th to 18th - Paris --→ Travel from Paris to Zurich on 18th early morning (Why can I not see any direct trains international to and from Switzerland for July? Hi there - I apologize in advance for not being able to figure this out. Been trying and researching for about 2 weeks!  Coming to Europe in June 2024 for my twin daughters high school graduation. Already purchased our Eurail Global Pass, and have booked a few trains. Stuck trying to book Paris to Lucerne on Monday, June 3. I see that there are some high speed trains between these cities with 4 hr 45 min routes, however I cannot figure out how to book one of these with my Eurail Global Pass?!?  All I can find is longer, 6-7 hour train trips.  How can I book the shorter train trip using my pass?  THANK YOU!

Hi ! I am currently on a trip around Sweden and Norway and everything is fine (despite the strike in France on the Day of departure...). Our outbound Journey was Poitiers/Paris/Dusseldorf. Must the inbound journey be the other way round ? Or can I choose to take the direct Strasbourg to Poitiers to Côme back  home ? Thanks in advance!Franck

Hi! I already bought an Interrail ticket and now want to reserve train seats. My trip is planned for August. When i try to reserve seats for example from Bergen to Oslo or from Trondheim to Bodo, „no results are found“. I already called the Entur callcenter, but they said i can i can book in may at earliest?! Every „norway train trip“ website told me to reserve as soon as possible… is there another way to reserve or did i do something wrong? Thank you for your answers:) 

Folgende Situation: Mein Mann wird für uns Beide die Stationtickets auf seinem Handy haben. Die Antwort auf die FAQ-Frage: “Was wäre, wenn jemand anderes mein Spielticket für mich gekauft hätte?” = Sie können entweder gemeinsam reisen oder sie übertragen ihr Spielticket auf Sie. … Verstehe ich leider nicht.Heißt “Sie können gemeinsam reisen”, dass Jeder einen eigenen Interrail Pass EURO 2024 auf seinem eigenen Handy haben kann, und er dann einfach die Stadiontickets vorzeigt, die für uns beide gelten? 

I have booked a camping in Mataró, which is about an hour away from the city center of Barcelona. The best way to get there is by Rodalies de Catalunya, which I figure is sort of a regional train. However, on the Interrail-website, I can't find connections. Therefore, I am wondering if Interrail is valid on these trains or that I need to buy seperate tickets. 

I’m glad that it’s finally possible to book seat reservations for Spanish AVE trains online.Is there any way of picking your own seat?  Or do you have to accept the seat that is automatically allocated to you?

On February 20th I will travel from Stockholm to Haparanda on the way to Rovaniemi. We are concerned that the Boden connection is only 11 minutes. Every day for the last 2 weeks the train from Stockholm has arrived late in Boden. Also today /13 minutes/ My question is, does the train to Haparanda wait for the arrival of the train from Stockholm and possibly until how many minutes late is the connection to Haparanda provided?

However, when I try add all the connections in my Eurail app, I only find the ones from Valencia up to Marseille, but from Marseille to Nice, from Nice to Monte Carlo and the rest of the stops in this route seems not to be connected. Why is that? I also have one more question about the seat reservation prices. I will be travelling with my 11 years old son. Eurail pass is free of charge for him, but I see that for most of the trains in this route seat reservations will be required. I purchased an Interrail flexible 5-day ticket. Among them, I have a question about 1 day.I live in France and I booked a train ticket from Vienna, Austria to Paris via Frankfurt, Germany.I would like to cancel or change this reservation.Because I want to go from Vienna, Austria to Salzburg, Austria.I would like to reserve a train ticket from Salzburg to Paris later.Is it possible to change, refund, or modify it?

Trip is in April and May - two months. Going to purchase 10 day 2 month Global Pass. What is the soonest date we can purchase the Global Pass to start making reservations for train trips starting in April?   Can we purchase reservations today for trips in April & May with the Global 10 day 2 month Pass.  Thanks Joan

We found the pass included R-net in Netherlands.The Netherlands Metro is under R-net company.Can we use the pass to take Metro when we are in Netherlands?Thanks

I want to change my promotional ticket. Should I buy a new ticket and request a refund? How exactly should I proceed? How long does it take for the refund to be made when I request a refund?

Normally an ic train runs from Lille Flandres to Kortrijk. But when I look on different site I do not find it for Sunday 12 May, the Sunday before and after the trains are just online. I wonder if there is an error in system, or there are just no IC trains that Sunday? Where could I find this info back? Thanks in advancedTania

Hi, I’m trying to get seat reservations from Lille Europe direct to Avignon on TGV #9830 for 17 May (bypassing Paris) but whichever site (Rail Europe/SNCF/SNCB) I try to book on, it shows the full price tickets without the Eurail Pass discount. Eurail Planner does not have this direct option and only offers routes with a change at Paris (Nord-Gare Lyon) which I’m trying to avoid as I’m travelling with children.Have all the Pass Holder seats been filled up? I’ve been checking this route regularly since Dec 2023 but of course tickets are not open for sale yet, and now they are available but without the pass dicount 🤔Hoping to hear some expert advice from the pros 💪🏻Thanks in advance!

Hi, I’m planning to take two night trains. First from Amsterdam to Vienna and then to Split. My travelbuddies don’t have an interrailpass. It is cheaper to just book the tickets for the nighttrains then taking an interrailpass. Is there any way that I can book the tickets with them or do I need to book separatly? Who can help me? 🤞
