I ordered my daughters and my passes on one order, but we each have added our own pass on our own device. I am doing all the bookings however, so if I duplicate my trip and add her pass number to the second trip on my device - will the bookings then show up on her phone so she can access her ticket?I would prefer us to have tickets and access on our own devices in case one of us loses or damages our phone.

Hello,I have a Eurail pass and need to make required seat reservations for trains between Nimes and Girona in June and between Stuttgart and Paris in July. I have found out from the planner app and several other sources that seat reservations are only available 90 days in advance, so it’s too early right now.  What puzzles me is that if I go to any websire that sells train tickets (e.g., Trainline or SNCF-connect), I can already buy these tickets with the seat reservation included. Does anyone know why this is the case or how this makes sense? And what are my chances of still finding available seats if anyone can buy the seats already now when they pay point-to-point?Thanks!

Hi,I do know how to create a trip, save journeys to it and add the journey to my pass. Bit I miss some other information on this item. I plan to buy a 6 travel day for Switzerland. Does  this mean that I make 6 trips in total, one for each day? Thus implicating that one trip corresponds to one travel date and I can add as many train journeys to that particular trip as I want to. probably obvious but I want to make sure prior to buying the card.Thanks,Threes

Hi there,I booked 3 month passes for two people last year when they were discounted for the Interrail anniversary and am now planning on using it.I’m very, very confused though.  I created a trip in the web application at interrail.eu (called “My interrail trip”) and added myself and another person to it.  But I don’t see this on the phone app, even though the pass has been added and activated on the phone.I created a trip (“Summer”) on my phone app and added myself and the other person as travelers there, but the other person can’t see the trip details on their phone and I can’t see it on the web app even though I created it.All I’m trying to do is start our 3 months on a known day and where necessary reserve seats for various journeys over the 3 month period.  I gather from other posts that reserving through this site can be a bit hit and miss and will be using some train operators sites directly for that.  What is the minimum I need to do in order to make sure that when we turn up o

Following my question asking why the Railplanner app tells you you need to buy a reservation at a cost of €6 for UK train travel I received the following answer: Trains in UK (apart from sleepers and Eurostar) do not require any reservations. You can just yous the pass and sit on unreserved seats just as you would with any ordinary unreserved ticket. All you need do is fill in the trains you use on your pass and you are free to board. If you wish you can get free reservations at ticket offices by showing your pass. By making an account on the GWR.com website you can also use their free seat reservation tool.My question again is:  In that case, WHY does the app suggest a fee is payable?

Hi. Can anyone please tell me whether the global pass scan code on the mobile app changes when you create a new journey on your trip or does it stay the same throughout. For example, if you took a photo of the scan code at the start of your trip could you just use that if you went out of signal along the route. Thanks 

Greeting,We are trying to reserve seats from Salerno to Rome on the OBB account. However, they keep saying no tickets is available even though it is recommended to reserve seats 2 months in advance. What should we do?

I made a seat reservation for the TGV train from Barcelona to Paris using Railplanner. The seat I have been allocated is downstairs but I would prefer to sit upstairs on the train. Is there any way of changing this?

My 20 year old daughter and I will be travelling together. I have bought the passes on the same order but not sure if its best to have both passes on my phone to make bookings and reservations or we have our pass on our own devices, If I book them together on my device, does she also need to have the app on her phone? My understanding is she can have her pass on her phone, I can then add her to make the booking. Can I do this in the app or only on the website?? It’s so confusing!

This might be a silly question, but I can't find the answer in the FAQs and nobody else seems to have even thought to ask.Can I use the Eurail global pass to just travel back and forth between two stations for no reason? Like can I board the train from Berlin to hamburg, get off, then immediately get back on Hamburg to Berlin, multiple times a day?

Do I need to wait for the first train booking to activate the Eurail pass?

Can someone clarify something basic for me please?  I can’t figure it out myself and at the moment my pass and plans are messed up enough as it stands.I have a 3 month global pass.  My intention is to start traveling on April 1st and finish 3 months later at the end of June or start of July.During that time I will be making several distinct journeys - for example, to see the tulips in April, to see the midnight sun in June, bank holiday weekend in May.Am I able to create several trips - say “Tulips”, “Solstice”, “Weekend”?Or is it just that a trip is the record of all journeys undertaken during the entire 3 months and there can only ever be 1 trip for 1 pass?Thanks,David

I want to travel from Kopenhagen to Oslo in August, but the times are mostly more than 16 hours at that time with a lot of stops. At the other side, when I would travel today, there would be trains that make it in 8 hours. So my question is, will faster trains to Oslo be uploaded later or is the August somehow special ?

Hello. I have been attempting to book a couchette for a night on the Paris to Nice night train in May. It was suggested to me that it was too early to make a reservation but that the booking opportunities for the spring would become available today (Jan. 25). I just tried again and there are still no night trains available for booking. Does anyone know when this will be available? Thanks.

When I try to plan a journey on the Railplanner app from my home station of Lancaster (UK) to the UK border at Harwich International, using one of the two days of “domestic” availability allowed, I am told that a €6 “reservation fee” is payable on the Lancaster to London leg of the journey.  As there is not usually any charge for reservations in the UK why is this?  And what happens if I just get on the train without one?

Me and my partner bought two Interrail Global Passes back this summer. We started travelling early september 2022. The day before departure a train strike was announced which kept us from making our outbound trip using the Eurostar from Rotterdam to London. We arranged ferry tickets ourselves (not using the Interrail).Since then we’ve been unable to have our Eurostar supplement (the extra you have to pay while booking the Eurostar via Interrail) refunded. In total this amounts to €75,42.We’ve been unable to have it refunded. We used the form on the website asking for a refund but to no avail. There is no phone line to call to or there is no e-mailadres for complaints. I am resorting to this forum to get my money back for a train strike I should be compensated for. My request: Can you please refund €75,42? If you need further detail, please let me know. Regards, Mieke

Hello,i´ve noticed , when activating my pass:  wrong country of residence!To be Finland but now it’s  Greece ? I’m wondering , if Is there any problem any way to travel with this pass ? I’m not planning to travel now to Greece.Rgds Jukka  

I’m looking to book a trip with another adult and child. We’d like to see several cities (Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Rome, Athens, etc) but not positive how the passes work. How do we get tickets to travel but able to stay in the cities for a couple nights between traveling?

Hello everybody I had a question a few weeks ago about a refund for the Eurostar due to an technical error. I booked 6 seat reservations instead of 2 for the Eurostar, since the system didn’t let my payment through. I checked what to do on the interrail platform and then it went through 3 times.  i had to go back to London anyways, so I took some time if my day and went to the Eurostar information and ask for a refund. That lady wanted to give it to me immediately, but couldn’t since it was booked though interrail. A few days later I got an email from interrail saying they can’t refund anything from Eurostar. but I knew from that lady, that there was hope for a refund.  Since money is really tied right now I kept begging that interrail person to somehow give me a refund. He then told me his Seniors had to decide about it. I asked about an update on Friday and they just told me they will decide at the beginning of next week. I am traveling through my country of residence more often than once for inbound and once for outbound. Therefore, I need to buy additional ticket for the part of my travels within the country of residence. However, I do not know, what this exactly means.Imagine I am traveling from Berlin to Prague and Czechia is the country of residence. The last stop of an EC I am taking on German side is Bad Schandau, the first stop on the Czech one is Děčín. Can I buy a ticket from Schoena (border) to Prague or do I have to buy one from Bad Schandau to Prague? Any advice (ideally with a reference where to find the info) welcome!
