 Charged twice while ordering pass. Payment had a glitch. 

I have added my first trip. It required seat reservations, so I did that. I received an email confirmation with a QR code. Is there a way to add that to the app? Or another way to save it? I will have multiple trips with seat reservations and hoping I don’t have to find the email for each trip

I hope that someone can help this beginner to Interail. I have planned a trip on my desktop PC and have seat reservations for our trip to Italy. IHowever, I cannot see these on my phone, which is where my Pass is held and what I shall be using for my travel. How do I copy the trip from my PC to my phone?

I have a 4 day interrail pass. In the app, there is no way of adding journeys to the pass, so all days show as available.The reservations were booked via Rail Europe and SNCF, so only the Rail Europe show, that’s fine I have the others electronically and on paper. BUT these trips cannot be added to the pass to show a QR code. I don’t think proof of purchase of the pass will wash with the ticket controllers. If you press on add a journey, it only takes you to the planner and purchase of reservation. Cannot enter a unique reference. I think this app was designed in the 20th century!

I am travelling Bangor-Nice tomorrow. Should I upload that trip in its 3 separate journeys (3 trains) which take place on the same day, or as one. The proposed journey on the planner does not have the Eurostar time for the train I have a reservation on.

I am looking to travel from Rovaniemi to Lulea or Boden in time for the departure of the night train to Stockholm. Because of poor service on the railways here, I will need to take a bus from Kemi to Haparanda at the border (this is definitely not included in the pass). However, though there are only a few trains per day from Haparanda to Lulea, the Interrail app is allowing me to add a bus service to my passport that runs at a more ideal time.The bus is listed as Bus 20 from Haparanda to Skelleftea stopping at Lulea where I am going. No operator is listed. Because this service is on the Interrail system and can be added to the pass, does that guarantee that the pass will be accepted? It could be a bus replacement service for a train but I can find no information about this bus route on the internet so I cannot guarantee it.

One of us will be turning 60 on day 3 or 4 of a 4day Eurail pass.  Would she be able to purchase a senior pass or would she have to purchase the pass based on her age at the first day using the pass?

Hi, this is my first post on the forum and I’m currently starting to plan a month-long interrail trip for me and 6 of my friends for next summer! We’re looking to travel from england, mostly around western europe ideally and not sure what the first steps would be for planning this trip? We’re starting early so we can plan an itinerary far in advance. We want to go to some popular tourist areas but also some less popular places with good scenery and food! Does anyone have advice which would help us plan, or for how we can look for cheap but reliable accommodation? I’m also unsure on how best to plan a good route which makes the most of our time. Would it make sense to spend around 2-3 days in each country, so maybe we could visit around 10? We are also all girls and will be 18 when taking the trip, so does anyone have advice for how to remain safe while travelling?Sorry I know this is a lot of questions, any help would be much appreciated!! My partner and I are planning to buy two Interrail Switzerland One Country Passes for a trip to Switzerland, we are staying in Grindelwald from 14-17 September. I wanted to confirm a couple of things about regional coverage in the Jungfrau area.1. Are the regional trains between Grindelwald, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen and Mürren fully included with the pass, or only discounted?2. Are the boat rides on Lake Brienz/Lake Thun fully included?3. Is there a discount on the Grindelwald-First cable car and the Männlichen cable car (from Grindelwald and from Wengen)? If so, what percentage?Thanks very much for your help.

HI all Has anyone recently made this trip? We are traveling down on Paris sleeper and want a train on 3rd of September into Barcelona. Seat61 mentions bus replacement maybe? Travelling with young son so would like to know what I'm doing and make the connection after arriving at 10.10am.Thanks

I have a mobile interrail pass. I booked eurostar tickets and other reservations on my ipad using the website and then realised I had to use that app on my phone so transferred my pass to my phone. I then added my trip using the app on my phone. I already have the tickets. Will they still be valid.I have not activated my pass yet as I am not travelling until 7th September.

I made a seat reservation from Venezia Mestre to Rome Termini for my upcoming trip on September 19 on a departing train at 8:34 AM but now I wanted to catch an earlier same rout train whichstarts at 7:38 AM. Ca anyone suggest how to switch my existing reservation to a different train? Thanks

Is there a way to turn off tranfers by public transport. As the railplanner keeps suggesting to do the last by public transport instead of just staying on the train(which is 2min slower)Or do i just have to manually add the the train from Wien to Budapest-Keleti, because i am not get the route suggestion that i actually want from the search. 

Hi! This is my first post so please forgive me if I’ve done anything wrong.I have a five-day Interrail pass for a holiday in early September (travelling 4-15 Sept). I now need to book another trip in late September (leaving 22 Sept). I want to book now, not wait till I get back. Can I buy a second pass and use it to make reservations before I travel with my existing pass? Thank you !

Hi, i have to travel todayUnable to book seat for Frankfurt to Paris I am not able to the book the seat, is there any issue with the reservation system?

So I have been in France for the past 3 days and I just saw on my discover eu app that I need to be online. Problem is that my phone is connected to WiFi and has access to mobile data. Every other app on my phone works perfectly fine but when I open my discover eu app its like i have no Internet. I cannot open my seat reservation nor look for any other travellers in the area. The worst part is that I don't know how I can get my app to be online. And yes I have tried restaring my phone. I don't know what to do because it says that I have 10 hours to get the app to be online to have my pass ready. Does this mean my pass will get inactived? 

The return international journey (typically Patras-Ancona or Bari) stretches over two days: does this mean that the journey has to be begun at least two days before the expiry of the pass, or can one simply embark on the last day of validity?  

We’ve got passes for 4 days of travel in one month, but now we’ve made all our reservations we have realised we need 5 days. We could refund our 4 day passes and replace them with 5 day ones, but then the passes will have different numbers than the ones we used when making our reservations.Does anyone know if this is likely to cause a problem with our reservations? The Interrail chatbot says it will be OK, but we don’t want to be standing on a platform somewhere being told our reservations are no good.Our other option is just to pay one of the days as if we didn’t have passes, but I think this is likely to work out more expensive.

After purchasing several reservations on Eurail for our group of 4, traveling in Austria and Switzerland, I tried to make carriage and seat selections only to discover that Eurail does not allow me to do so, although the selections could be made on the operators’ sites when reservations are made there. I do not recall during the reservation process being informed by Eurail that seats cannot be selected with Eurail reservations, but they can be selected by purchasing the reservation directly with the operator.  If they had done so, I would not have purchased reservations on Eurail.So, I would like to get a refund for the reservations I just made today on Eurail and then repurchase the reservations directly with the operator and select seats.  How can I do this?  Eurail says that reservation refunds depend on the operator.  Will it require contacting the various operators?  This is an important issue to us, not only to have seats we enjoy, but for logistical reason.  We have several very

Good evening,First time Interrailer (4-day Global Pass) and UK resident, just learned about outbound and inbound journeys and I’m now reviewing my current itinerary. I have two separate but related questions:Currently, my trip starts with a Eurostar journey from London → Cologne on the 14th September, via Brussels. My understanding is that this entire journey counts as an Outbound journey, and therefore not towards one of my travel days. Is this correct? Do outbound and inbound journeys have to cross an international border to count? Because right now I’m looking at a £35 single/ £50+ open return ticket to get from my rural little village to London, so if I can cover either or both of those with the Global pass, that would be a big help.I’m aware that the two situations above potentially conflict. That’s my problem to work out. I’d just like to be sure I understand what the possibilities are.Any help greatly appreciated,Warr

If my ticket can't be scanned, what should I do? The route is Rome Termini-Bari, the controller tells me that he can't scan the QR code 

Hallo ZusammenIch habe im Juni 2026 eine Interrailreise gemacht. Ich hatte einen Interrail GLobalpass 4 Tage 1 Monat 1. Klasse Ich bin dann am 24.06.02026 von Prag nach Basel mit dem Euronight. Der Zug hatte Verspätung was genau die Verspätung ausgelöst hatte weiss ich jedenfalls nicht mehr. Okay ich habe dann ein Screenshot gemacht von der Verspätung, der Zug hätte in Basel Bad bf um 6.56 ankommen müssen ist aber um 09.04 angekommen leider zeigt es mir die Ankufnt in Basel SBB Bahnhof nicht an. Jedenfalls habe ich im Internet nachgeschaut ob ich für meine Verspätung etwas zurück bekomme. Ich habe dann von der ÖBB 49 Euro zurück gekriegt. Bei Interrail hätte ich laut Internet Informationen auch eine Rückerstattung zu gut. Ich habe dann das Formular ausgefüllt und geschickt am 27.06. Dann kamm das Email ich soll ein wennig Geduld haben. Okay dnan kam wieder die Aufforderung das Formular auszufülllen. Ich habe es ingesamt 2mal ausgefüllt aber nie eine richtige ANtwort erhalten.
