I am currently a student and I am planning my first ever interailing trip for after my exams in the summer with some friends from school. With my current ideas, I am worried that I am trying to do too much in only a month. My trip will be starting and finishing from London St Pancras. I’d ideally like a trip that has great food, fun outdoor activities to do and warm weather with beaches were possible. I’m probably going to go in the middle of august as that’s when the weather will be best - I’m also aware this time is very popular so everything will be slightly more expensive and busy. Is it worth buying the one month pass or is it better to buy a limited number of specific travel days? Also, anyone who has used a first class pass, was it worth it? In terms of the actual trains, I’d prefer to do sleeper trains to save money by spending fewer nights in hostels/Airbnb's. Hello All,I am very new to Interail travel planning my first trip through holland germany poland germany france and spain.Can I confirm that my global pass will allow me entry through all railway station ticket gates and  all trains ? I understand I will have to reserve seats on certain trains as recorded in the rail journey planner I am not clear if I have to set up a daily ticket on my travel days or will my journey plan in my trips be enough for travel reference ? Thankyou all in advance for any help adviceAnthony Milest

My families moved to Canada during and before WW2 as refugees. my families brought what they could but I have been exposed to very little of my heritage. I am currently living in Copenhagen and was wondering where I should visit in Germany and Hungary to better understand my heritage? 

Hello - 1st time user of the mobile planner here & getting a bit tied up in knots! I am leaving the UK on Tuesday & have a reservation on Eurostar. I will travel from Exeter. The planner gives me a 10.15am Exeter train to connect with my Eurostar. I want to get an earlier train from Exeter but can't see how to change it. The filter to give me longer transfer time is already at the max. Any suggestions? Thanks

Basic Question About Time Zones When Making Seat ReservationsI have a basic question about making seat reservations from overseas, where there is a time difference.I live in Japan and plan to make seat reservations for European trains using my smartphone.When checking train timetables and making reservations through Interrail, are the departure and arrival times displayed in the local time of the stations, or are they automatically adjusted to Japan time based on my smartphone’s time zone settings?In other words, does the time zone setting on my smartphone affect the times displayed?Thank you in advance for your help.

On 12 August 2026, I submitted two requests for compensation: case numbers 1514958 and 1515024.On 23 September 2026, I messaged to say that I hadn't received any communication and asked when I could expect a response. To date, 19 October 2026, I have still not received any communication from you. There does appear delays in processing claim, but it would get reassuring to know that my claims are in the system waiting to be dealt with.@Interrail Community Moderator

Hi All.  First time user of the App!   I am , along with 2 children , are using a 5 day global pass during 20th Dec to 27th Dec I have called this ‘ Xmas Trip’ in the App  I have added manual journey for the train rides i think we will take.  Because I have the 3 passes on my App, when i save a journey ( Paris to Strasbourg ) it asks me to select the 3 passes.   So far so good.  When i check a few days later, a few of the journeys have disappeared- some from my trip, some from my daughters etc.   Ant ideas what is going wrong.  I have yet to activate the pass

Hi,  Hope the community can help.   I am a first time interrailer and travelling with my two children over Xmas week from Paris going east and returning to Paris ( 20th to 27th ) ,   I am looking to get out of Paris around 5pm on the 20th but it seems the new timetable isnt released until mid December ?     What i need to know is   What is the latest bookable Interrail-compatible train from Paris Est on Sunday 20 December 2026 to Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Mannheim or another suitable point towards Lake Constance?And specifically:Is there a direct TGV/ICE from Paris Est after approximately 19:00?What time does it arrive?Does it require a reservation?Can three passengers travel on the Interrail pass on that service?

I’d like to set off at 9 am today. The journey is linked to my pass. But the ticket isn’t uploading. The journey details are showing, but the code isn’t appearing. It’s been loading and loading… for 5 hours now. I can’t cancel it either.What can I do?Customer service aren’t getting back to me very quickly.Thanks for your help.

Hi, I submitted a compensation request 2months ago after train was cancelled and the rail company made me buy new tickets.i have not had any update other than acknowledgement of claim. Is this service normal and how long does it normally take? Thanks

Hi Eurail,Due to your inability to protect your customers’ sensitive data, I’m approx £130 out of pocket on a new passport and I’ve had to take out a credit monitoring service for £30.I’ve emailed you several times and, after a couple of low-effort AI responses, been ignored.As this is directly your fault, you will be paying me back. Could I get an update from you regarding when you will be paying me back for this?

I want to change Global Pass details - i.e. Surname & pass number in seat reservation ticket, which I already booked with my old pass. I there any solution ?? Rest details will be same.

How come I don’t see train schedule after 12 Dec 2026?

As yet I have not purchased a rail card, it will most probably be second class, I  would like to travel from Milan to Bari by sleeper, cabin reservation for two, both with passes. Travel will be the end of May, so currently I can’t see what the cost will be.Can anyone advise, what the cost would be for the journey? 

I really need to get from Paris to Berlin—or at least Warsaw—today. There seem to be no options at all; the Interrail website shows no available seats on TGV trains. What should I do?

Hello. My family of 4 from Australia bought an interrail global pass for our trip to Europe this December. Our transport between cities will be entirely by rail. The itinerary looks like: 20 Dec - Frankfurt → Nuremberg23 Dec - Nuremberg → Salzburg26 Dec - Salzburg → Lucerne29 Dec - Lucerne → Strasbourg2 Jan - Strasbourg → ParisI would prefer to reserve seats on all trains just for peace of mind. I know about the December train schedule change but need some clarification.  Does this mean most of the schedules for the trains we will be taking will be released soon (mid October) but I will not be able to buy tickets and make seat reservations until mid December? Will these trains be very busy at this time of year in peoples experiences? What would a seasoned train traveler plan to do in my place? thank you

I still have 1 credit and have a travel day in the Global Plus Beta pass, Seats are available in the train( requirement 1 credit only ), still I am getting the error as “ You have used all your Plus pass reservation” could some one guide me why do I get this error.
