Hello all!SNCF opened its sale for the end of year period (Dec 13 onwards) today but I can’t find any train here when looking at booking a seat. Any idea when this will be available?Many thanks!

Hi,  I bought 3 global passes, one for me and 2 for my children , about 3 months ago.    When do i need to activate them ?   And should i connect the childrens passes to my ‘ trip’ ? What is the downside to activating a pass now or waiting until later ?  Thanks in advance

Dear all, I have booked my global interrail ticket. I would like to make a reservation for the trains leading to Barcalona, but how to proceed without the interrail environment?It looks like the travelplan options for second half December and January are not yet visible in the interrail environment. Not in app and not online. I checked the international site for the Dutch rail company, and it is available there… What to do? Do I book through Eurostar site? How does that reservation end up in my interrail app?Lybrich

As my wife and I approach our 80s, and having eschewed travelling by plane, we feel we want the added comfort and ease of 1st class rail travel.  We have used interrail a number of times previously for special journeys, but assumed that it would not be cost effective for a straightforward trip to Italy and back.  To my cost (literally), I have discovered that is not the case.  So in December, returning January we are going London -Paris-Lyon-Milan-Venice and then back - a total of four days of travelling.    Aside from the London to/from Paris journey, we are booking 1st/Business class seats.   As is often the way, you book tickets for various stages as the tickets become available.  All has now been booked apart from the Venice/Milan journeys where tickets are not yet available.  What is clear now, is that if I had gone through the interrail option, purchasing two 4 day 1st class pass, we would have saved around £100.   We would have also saved ourselves having to deal with dynamic pr

We wish to reserve seats on Eurorail London to Paris at the end of December, but the seats are not yet available. Any ideas when they should be released?

We booked 4 reservations on a Eurostar service from Cologne to Brussels on 2 August 2026. This service was cancelled but we have not received the reservation fee refund. I raised a Delay Compensation Request ticket on 27 August having failed to get a response to emails. I have not heard anything from Interrail since an acknowledgement that the response would take longer on 31 August. The ticket is #1536752

I want to book 2 reserved seats on the 11:50 am trainOR 1661 on 9 October from Bucharest to Iasi in Romania. I have been unable to book these seats on either the app or the DB website. I must travel on this day to meet up with a tour group. I am currently in Poland and cannot visit a Romanian train station.can anyone out there offer me advice please? 

Hi, I booked a reservation for a train and I was wondering whether or not I need to add this reservation to my trip in the App? Is there a way to do that? Or is it enough if I just add that journey to the App ? Thanks a lot! Milli

Hi,I searched all the inbound/outbound Qs but didn’t see my specific Q. If I have a 2 or 3 month Global Pass but would like to have multiple 5 day trips, section 4.2.2 is not clear on how I would pay for my residency outbound. If I depart from my country of residence and either at my final destination in the new country in a single train/couchette or my trip includes a stop in the new country but I will be taking another train for my final destination, how would I pay for my outbound train cost? will the Interrail app show me the cost and I can pay it there because I have no more outbound/inbounds available?  Or, do I need to buy a separate ticket myself and only book my Interrail after I arrive in the new country? Thanks

We're looking into visiting Tunisia on 02 August 2027 for the solar eclipse. What would be good routes and connections from the Interrail notwork, please? 

As an interrail addict I bought a 3 month interrail at last year's (2026) promo, planning to use it Februari - May this year. A broken ankle prevented me from travel. Latest start date is November 8. Obligations make it difficult to travel until mid-January. I will still use it form some small journeys. But is it still possible to get a refund of 90% or was that zero?(And yes, of course I'm buying a pass in the current sale)Thanks

We are planning a trip around France and Spain. Is it worth paying for the upgrade to a 1st class ticket? Will we be able to use Eurostar Premier? and other first class options? Does anyone have any positive or negative experiences of this? Thanks

Bonjour, En vue de la situation sanitaire en Europe, je pense sérieusement annulé mon voyage interail prévu pour aout avec mon conjoint. Nous devons aller en Belgique Allemagne, Slovaquie, Hongrie, République Tchèque, Autriche et Suisse. D’autre sont dans mon cas ? Je n’ai pas encore réservé de train donc mon pass sera toujours utilisable l’année prochaine en sachant que je l’ai acheté en janvier dernier ? Nous avons juste prévu le voyage sur l’application. J’avais reçu un mail disant que nos pass étaient prolongés d’une année.  Merci beaucoup pour votre aide et vos avis ! 

We are looking at a months interailing next summer departing United Kingdom and travelling around Central Europe ( France, Switzerland, Austria, Northern Italy ) and were wondering if it would be more beneficial to purchase a 1st class ticket as opposed to a second class ticket. Not sure how reservation costs differ between 1st and 2nd class and whether that added bit of luxury coming with 1st Class will outweigh the difference in cost between the two passes. Having already completed 2 2nd Class month Interail passes in the past we were thinking it might be a bit of fun to try a 1st Class one this time. Would be good to know what the benefits of travelling 1st Class on European trains are. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I need a cover number so I can make train reservations. Can it start by IN and be followed by 8 digit numbers ? That’s what I received in a mail from interrail just after I paid for my interrail. But ot doesnt satisfy Deutsche Bahn...

I need 10 minutes transfer time between trains and the filter doesn’t seem to show on my phone although it works on the website.  The trains I’m booking for don’t need reservations so if I get. a later train at connection will my ticket still be valid?

Bonjour, Je voulais poser quelques questions vis-à-vis du pass, et je n’arrive pas à trouver de réponses spécifiques à mes questions. J’ai reçu le pass pour aller en allemagne pendant 7j offert par le gouvernement. Sachant que je veux aller en allemagne du 25 au 31 juillet (7j), je voudrais savoir si je pouvais par exemple emprunter un train à Europapark le 31 juillet soir et revenir dans ma ville d’origine française le lendemain matin. Ce qui fait que je prend le train le 31 juillet mais que je dépasse ce jour-là durant mon trajet. Comment cela est-il compris dans le trajet ? Si c’est bon faut-il toujours rester dans le même train, ou puis-je changer lors d’une correspondance durant la nuit du 31 juillet au 1er aout ?Je vous remercie pour vos réponses. Bonne journée, Alexis

HelloI travel on Saturday morning (26SEP).First time user of a mobile pass.Weird issue.This morning I purchased a 7D/1M Senior Global Pass, to start from 26SEP.I successfully added it to the IR Planner app on my ipad. I could also view it on my phone. All good.This a/noon I purchased a 4D/1M Senior Global pass for my wife and successfully added it to my own my IR app, but on the phone. There was a technical glitch on my ipad, so I  couldn't do it. Also with 26SEP start date.PROBLEM My pass is still accessible, usable and ready to go  (no trains booked yet) on my ipad. My wife’s does not appear.However, on my phone, my wife’s app is visible and ready to go. But mine has disappeared. But also showing (which was not displayed before) is my EXPIRED 2024 IR Pass!I have logged  out and back in again on the phone, but do not want to refresh it on my ipad in case mine disappears from there.Does anyone have any thoughts please?Thank you.Mikerid
