Solved

Hi! Next week I’m going to Zurich and will take a day trip to Vaduz (Liechtenstein). I figured that it’s more adventurous to use the pass and see Vaduz for half-day. My challenge is what to do there on Friday from around 10:00 to 14:00. Any recommendation please? I will be traveling with my 64yo mom. thank you!

How can you upgrade a second class global pass to a first class

I'm currently stuck during my travel because the train I wanted to take keeps getting delayed and will probably be cancelled due to weather. It is the last/only connection to my destination today. I already have a seat reservation and activated my travel day for the trip today. What happens to them when the train gets completely cancelled? Will I get refunds for the reservation and a new travel day? Also, how is the situation with interrail when I have to book a hotel for the night? or even two nights because the train for tomorrow is already full?Sadly the info desk of the company (RENFE) here in Lyon is closed today, so I feel a bit lost.

Hi - I am trying to book a seat via the Interrail site on a train from Warsaw to Krakow at 11.08 on 18th October. When I select the journey there is no button to add a reservation to my cart. I am on the Interrail website and logged in. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

Hello, can I risk booking my eurostar before interrail has released its timetables?Specifically, I need to book a eurostar from London on 17 December and then again back to London on 03 January but Interrail doesn’t have timetables for my journey, yet (am going to Italy and back via France - Paris and/or Lille). And can I book seat reservations directly with Eurostar (since I can’t add journeys to my pass yet), if so where/how?Thank you!Julia

We are looking to travel to France from Yorkshire in march - first question when should I buy my interail pass, im a bit confused re activating the pass do I do this when I’m booking my journey.we are travelling from Yorkshire on LNER then Eurostar to Paris then down to Thonon in the Alps all trains look as if I need to book seats I’m thinking the pass plus would be worth it does anyone have any experience of this thany upu

Hello. My partner and I have selected 1st class Interrail passes for our December holiday to France. I’ve waited until 30 September (as advised) to book, however still cannot find any trains to book along our proposed journey. Paris - Reims - Strasbourg - Colmar - X - Toulouse - Bordeaux - Paris

The first leg of my journey involves a Eurocity direct train from Amsterdam Zuid to Bruxelles-Midi. When I looked on NS International it looks like this train could sell out but with my pass I should be able to get on this train without purchasing a separate ticket? Because there are no seat reservations how can I make sure I have a seat on this train?I have added it to my trip on the Interrail app but I don’t see any ticket generated and I am not sure what to do. Thanks

We travelling from Amsterdam to Salerno for the Christmas holidays, and while we were able to book the reservation for the night train until Zurich, we are not able to get the timetable for 20 december from Milan to Salerno.I see that on TrenItalia trains are already available, so I'm afraid we won't find much availability. Do you know what could be the issue here and any solution?Thank you in advance for anyone's help!

When changing trains, it may be possible to catch an earlier train which is late. In this case it is not possible to add the train, which is late, to the pass because the regular departure time of this train is earlier than the the arrival time of the first train. In this case:I disable the first train from the pass in order to add te second (late) train to the pass. But then the statistics are incorrect. I add the second train manually to the pass. But only if I have time before the ticket control.is there another possibility to solve this problem?

planning a trip from London in NOvember. I want ti go as far as Munich in Germany, but would like to see other places as well.Looking for ideas and planning advice please

Hello all!SNCF opened its sale for the end of year period (Dec 13 onwards) today but I can’t find any train here when looking at booking a seat. Any idea when this will be available? Many thanks!

Hi,  I bought 3 global passes, one for me and 2 for my children , about 3 months ago.    When do i need to activate them ?   And should i connect the childrens passes to my ‘ trip’ ? What is the downside to activating a pass now or waiting until later ?  Thanks in advance

I think I already know the answer, but I’m asking anyway in the faint hope that someone, somewhere, has found a way around this.I’ve planned what should be a brilliant seven-day rail adventure from my home county of Cornwall:Bodmin → LondonLondon → BrusselsBrussels → CopenhagenCopenhagen → OsloOslo → BergenFly Bergen → LondonLondon → BodminI bought a seven-day First Class pass and eagerly started looking at trains and reservations. And that’s where the adventure came to a rather abrupt halt. The timetable appears to run only until around 9 December 2026. My trip is planned for 13–20 December, so anything after the timetable change is effectively a blank page: no trains to book, no reservations to make and no certainty about the journey. In practical terms, I could end up having to wait until just days before departure before I can confirm everything. That makes booking six hotels a gamble too. Even paying the inflated prices for flexible rooms doesn’t necessarily solve it, because free c

Hi All,  I am due to use a 5 day global pass with my kids at Xmas ( 20th to 27th ) and my question was about whether people buy tickets via the Interrail App or not.  Do you go to the train provider instead ?  If so , what is the App mainly used for ?   Thank you in advance

Just had a notification saying I should go online within 48 hours to keep my pass valid - I’ve used one day and will use day 2 on Sunday - does this log in count as being online?

I want to know what you would recommend as the best destinations along the rail line from Paris to Berlin to break it up a little bit.

Hi everyone … My wife & I are considering an interrail trip next May. We'll probably try to decide by tomorrow so we can buy half price passes in the sale. The global one month pass looks great value. Does anyone know of a website or app that will give details of easily-accessible campsites, reasonably near to stations? We haven't planned even a vague itinerary yet but possibly Scandinavia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, & Greece would be included. We have a good small backpackers tent but you do need to bring lots of add-ons when camping, so would it perhaps be better to pack less & pay more? Is it useful to bring sleeping bags, maybe to use in hostels? Thanks

Dear all, I have booked my global interrail ticket. I would like to make a reservation for the trains leading to Barcalona, but how to proceed without the interrail environment? It looks like the travelplan options for second half December and January are not yet visible in the interrail environment. Not in app and not online. I checked the international site for the Dutch rail company, and it is available there… What to do? Do I book through Eurostar site? How does that reservation end up in my interrail app?Lybrich

Need to cancel my pass struggling with that plz help as pass reference is not being recognized and no reply from agent yet

We wish to reserve seats on Eurorail London to Paris at the end of December, but the seats are not yet available. Any ideas when they should be released?

Hello. I have a question about the Warsaw–Rosenheim route (October 1, 19:52, IC407). Since it is a night train, can I sleep on board with an Interrail pass, or will I have to sit up? If I can sleep there, how much is the surcharge, and where can I pay for it? Which website should I use?

Hi, I would like to confirm that both pass are one and the same.I bought an Interrail Global pass after checking that it is okay for an Australian to use this pass but AI said that I bought the incorrect pass and should buy the Eurail Global pass for a non EU citizen. I now want to confirm.  Cheers, lee
