Solved

Hi - has anyone done this trip, and could you recommend places to stay?

My partner and I are planning to buy two Interrail Switzerland One Country Passes for a trip to Switzerland, we are staying in Grindelwald from 14-17 September. I wanted to confirm a couple of things about regional coverage in the Jungfrau area.1. Are the regional trains between Grindelwald, Wengen, Lauterbrunnen and Mürren fully included with the pass, or only discounted?2. Are the boat rides on Lake Brienz/Lake Thun fully included?3. Is there a discount on the Grindelwald-First cable car and the Männlichen cable car (from Grindelwald and from Wengen)? If so, what percentage? Thanks very much for your help.

HI all Has anyone recently made this trip? We are traveling down on Paris sleeper and want a train on 3rd of September into Barcelona. Seat61 mentions bus replacement maybe? Travelling with young son so would like to know what I'm doing and make the connection after arriving at 10.10am.Thanks

I have a mobile interrail pass. I booked eurostar tickets and other reservations on my ipad using the website and then realised I had to use that app on my phone so transferred my pass to my phone. I then added my trip using the app on my phone. I already have the tickets. Will they still be valid.I have not activated my pass yet as I am not travelling until 7th September.

I made a seat reservation from Venezia Mestre to Rome Termini for my upcoming trip on September 19 on a departing train at 8:34 AM but now I wanted to catch an earlier same rout train whichstarts at 7:38 AM. Ca anyone suggest how to switch my existing reservation to a different train? Thanks

Is there a way to turn off tranfers by public transport. As the railplanner keeps suggesting to do the last by public transport instead of just staying on the train(which is 2min slower)Or do i just have to manually add the the train from Wien to Budapest-Keleti, because i am not get the route suggestion that i actually want from the search.

Hi! This is my first post so please forgive me if I’ve done anything wrong.I have a five-day Interrail pass for a holiday in early September (travelling 4-15 Sept). I now need to book another trip in late September (leaving 22 Sept). I want to book now, not wait till I get back. Can I buy a second pass and use it to make reservations before I travel with my existing pass? Thank you !

Hi, i have to travel todayUnable to book seat for Frankfurt to Paris I am not able to the book the seat, is there any issue with the reservation system?

So I have been in France for the past 3 days and I just saw on my discover eu app that I need to be online. Problem is that my phone is connected to WiFi and has access to mobile data. Every other app on my phone works perfectly fine but when I open my discover eu app its like i have no Internet. I cannot open my seat reservation nor look for any other travellers in the area. The worst part is that I don't know how I can get my app to be online. And yes I have tried restaring my phone. I don't know what to do because it says that I have 10 hours to get the app to be online to have my pass ready. Does this mean my pass will get inactived?

The return international journey (typically Patras-Ancona or Bari) stretches over two days: does this mean that the journey has to be begun at least two days before the expiry of the pass, or can one simply embark on the last day of validity?

We’ve got passes for 4 days of travel in one month, but now we’ve made all our reservations we have realised we need 5 days. We could refund our 4 day passes and replace them with 5 day ones, but then the passes will have different numbers than the ones we used when making our reservations.Does anyone know if this is likely to cause a problem with our reservations? The Interrail chatbot says it will be OK, but we don’t want to be standing on a platform somewhere being told our reservations are no good. Our other option is just to pay one of the days as if we didn’t have passes, but I think this is likely to work out more expensive.

After purchasing several reservations on Eurail for our group of 4, traveling in Austria and Switzerland, I tried to make carriage and seat selections only to discover that Eurail does not allow me to do so, although the selections could be made on the operators’ sites when reservations are made there. I do not recall during the reservation process being informed by Eurail that seats cannot be selected with Eurail reservations, but they can be selected by purchasing the reservation directly with the operator.  If they had done so, I would not have purchased reservations on Eurail. So, I would like to get a refund for the reservations I just made today on Eurail and then repurchase the reservations directly with the operator and select seats.  How can I do this?  Eurail says that reservation refunds depend on the operator.  Will it require contacting the various operators?  This is an important issue to us, not only to have seats we enjoy, but for logistical reason.  We have several very

Good evening,First time Interrailer (4-day Global Pass) and UK resident, just learned about outbound and inbound journeys and I’m now reviewing my current itinerary. I have two separate but related questions:Currently, my trip starts with a Eurostar journey from London → Cologne on the 14th September, via Brussels. My understanding is that this entire journey counts as an Outbound journey, and therefore not towards one of my travel days. Is this correct? Do outbound and inbound journeys have to cross an international border to count? Because right now I’m looking at a £35 single/ £50+ open return ticket to get from my rural little village to London, so if I can cover either or both of those with the Global pass, that would be a big help.I’m aware that the two situations above potentially conflict. That’s my problem to work out. I’d just like to be sure I understand what the possibilities are.Any help greatly appreciated,Warr

If my ticket can't be scanned, what should I do? The route is Rome Termini-Bari, the controller tells me that he can't scan the QR code

Hello! I am currently in Rome for my last destination in Italy. In a few days I will return to my country of residence (France) with an inbound/outbound journey. However, I can’t activate my trip because it says that I no longer have any available travel days. How can I do this? wishing you a good day!

Hi everyone,I've been trying to book seat reservations with Eurail and keep getting error E0500. Has anyone else run into this? I've already tried [mention what you've tried: refreshing the page, switching browsers, trying the app instead, etc.] but the error keeps showing up. Any help or shared experience would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,I have a couple of quick questions regarding how the Leaderboard works in this community: Is there an overview available showing how many points you earn per specific action (such as creating a post, replying, or receiving a like)? Are there any prizes or rewards for reaching the top spots on the leaderboard? Thanks in advance!

Why are budget trains -- like flixtrain, govolta, ouigo -- not included in interrail? It seems counterintuitive, if they have the lowest running costs I would expect them to be the easiest to include because what interrail pays should be ample for them if it is enough for premium operators? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Hi, In the interrail planner it says that there are no more available seats for the eurostar from Paris to Amsterdam on this date, but in raileurope the seat still looks available. Is this possible? Or will I get an error later or have to stand? The times are also off by 5 minutes but I assume that’s a glitch.

Hello!Interrail just announced relay strike action that will impact rail networks across the Netherlands on the 9th, 13th and 15th of September which affect my travels and I don’t know what to do now and need advice.Interrail states: “There will be no trains throughout the Netherlands on these days.” On the 9th I’ll travel from Berlin to Amsterdam, will this also be cancelled, how do I know?On the 15th I’ll travel from Amsterdam to Paris and the Thalys website does not state that these trains are cancelled (only a few due to construction), so how do I know if it is cancelled or not?

Hi. Just looking for a bit of help. I am leaving today but my husband has had to delay his departure until tomorrow unfortunately. I have tried to move his active pass to his phone this morning but it doesn’t give me an option to move pass as I think it should for. It just says this pass is active on another device. Go back or contact us. Others talk about the option to move it. What am I doing wrong??? Thank you 🙏

I can't add travels to my pass but it still has 4 travel days last, im travelling with my card that I was able to win trough discover eu, but today I was sitting at the trainstation and it kept saying "please try again or contact customer service if it keeps happening"I have contacted them but have read that it can take days for them to reply. And know im a little shaken up because im in the middle of nowhere in austria alone at a random trainstation

Im stuck in austria, I cant use my travel days it keeps saying try again contact customer service but im at a trainstation in austria in the middle of no where, and I already contacted them but it said it can take couple of days, but what about my trip, next week im starting school again so im kinda scared that im gonna be stuck here, someone that knows anything please help!
